Will and Jill have transferred ownership, and the new owner is taking it on! This has been a great place to stay, and looking forward to the new owner and staff (with Amber staying on!) meeting my group this weekend!
Google may tell you it is closed but it's just changing over.
I believe they are getting the new name into the various social media sites, so stay tuned.

I stayed at BrazenHead Inn while on a ski trip at Snowshoe and had an absolutely amazing experience.

The inn is located around 20 minutes from the Top of the World at Snowshoe and in my opinion provides a better customer experience than anywhere on the mountain.

The rooms were clean and had a TV that I was able to smartcast to. It also comes with a fridge and plenty of coat hangers.

The food at the inn was also very good, with a favorite of mine being the fried green beans. A complimentary breakfast was also provided in the mornings.

Finally, the staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. They responded quickly when I accidentally locked myself out of my room at night and was always happy to help during my stay.

I cannot recommend this place enough.

Post meal picture. Highly recommend the fried green beans.
Beautiful aesthetic inside the restaurant with great Irish beer and warm mood.

The Brazenhead Inn is an excellent place to stay. Rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfortable , and it's just a short drive up the mountain for Skiing & Snowboarding. The attached Irish pub style restaurant is a great place for dinner (try the fried green beans) aswell as complimentary breakfast. However , the real star of Brazenhead is the staff. They treat everyone with such kindness and are a genuine joy to be around (including Molly the dog)! They really make it feel like you're staying with family. If you are ever in the area I would 100% recommend it. Could not ask for a better place to stay.

This small mom & pop, hard by SR 219, was a disappointment to my group. The website leads one to believe that the entire experience is Irish. Well, you won't find Irish food on the menu, and during the week the menu is essentially burgers and sandwiches.
The Guinness is good, however. And they did have live music.

Here is what you can expect:
Very small rooms with little or no furniture. I did have two metal folding chairs to compliment a beat up dresser, two small night stands with lamps, a four poster bed with two posts missing.
The claim that there are "antiques" in the rooms is suspect.
      Mattress was tolerable.

No TV in rooms. Wireless connection is weak and data transfer will not support streaming or even downloading something like a newspaper. So if you expect to spend time in your room, you will be disappointed. Take a book or hang out in the pub.

Bathroom had been remodeled and had decent shower and sink. Very small. No Tub.
Heat is controlled by a mysterious hand somewhere other than your room. No A/C apparently.

Also there is no cell service in this area due to the radio telescope nearby.

Very nice people run this place and are enthusiastic hosts. And it is apparent they are trying to raise their game by the noted improvements in the plumbing fixtures.

The best feature is the Pub. Small and pleasant with a friendly bartender and good beers.

Front and rear decks are pleasant, albeit lacking in any scenery to compliment them.

Service in the restaurant was slow...but we were not in a hurry.

This falls short of 3 stars from me since I found my expectations were not met and the price exceeded the amenities offered.

Out of this world. Sort of like Mountain Stage Theater without the theater. The Brazen Head continues on its awesome string of both food and local cultural offerings. Both of Will Fanning's sons have left for bigger and better places, but the staff still continues on providing the best local food around. The weekend we were there, a local Bluegrass band just jammed all night with some amazing rhythm. The buffet selections, though limited, were superb and definitely hearty. This is a must see in the Snowshoe area or the Monongahela National Forest area.

Went last summer for a weekend with some motorcycle friends. Beautiful, wonderful roads in the area for riding. The inn is quaint with porches facing the road and backyard. Our room was clean and well appointed. The water for the shower was VERY soft, I've never quite experienced that anywhere else. There was free wifi available but it wasn't the strongest signal, some places in the inn were better than others for connectivity. Not much TV happening, they have a separate room with a TV receiving a signal from a satellite. I never saw anyone in that room.

The owners know a number of musicians and one evening during our stay people picked up some instruments and jammed for an hour or so. It was very cool to watch and listen in such an intimate setting!

Food service was a little slow; our group had to wait nearly 40 minutes for our meal. The meals weren't the best either. You don't come to this place for the food. As bikers we came for the ideal location to spring off and explore the roads of the area. This place was perfect in that regard.

I recommend this place for fellow motorcyclists outside of ski season. However bring rain gear!

I will return this coming summer.

This place has become one of my second homes. It is truly magic as is Will, his wife and the staff. To put it simply, when you build something from the heart and have only good intentions, it circles back. This place is beautiful, comfortable and enlightening. I have never heard so many wonderful stories, had such a peaceful nights rest and been treated with such kindness. If the world had the energy of this place, we would be thriving. I will be back!

When I first called to book a Sunday night, I was under the impression the rooms were $89. I asked about pets and was told they had two pet-friendly rooms and that one was available. I have two dogs who I promised to never leave in the room unattended. When I called back to book two rooms, one for my friends and one for me and my dogs. I was told to go online to book the rooms. I then found that the rooms were $99, not $89 ($10 not a big deal). When I went to book the second room, after giving my credit card for the first room and agreeing to a non-refundable $75 deposit, I was told that I could not book the second room for only one night. I called and they said they would book the room for me over the phone. At the end of the conversation, they said that there would be a $20 one night fee for weekend nights. I said that Sunday was not a weekend night and that the hotel showed plenty of open rooms for that night. Then they explained that it was a "cleaning fee". So I figured, I'd gone this far down the road and $20 was not worth it. It looked like a nice family owned business.

A few hours later, I got a call that they would also be charging me a $100 pet fee. They explained that it would be $50 per pet. So, that is more than the cost of the room! And I should have been told this up front, not after booking! Well, they "gave me a deal" and only charged me $50 for both the pets. At the end of the day, my credit card was charged a total of $195 for one short night in a tinny room that I selected based on an $89 price. If I had known the true cost, I would have selected a different venue.

The Inn was small but nice, wood floors, family feel, a little loud, right by the road and the room doors are on the outside. You can hear everything right through the walls.

One of my favorite places in the area. The food is always amazing and the beer and music flow plenty. We had our wedding here and we would not have done it any other way. I would love for Will and Jill (owners) to adopt me and my wife.
