Really disappointed in this spot because it looked really convenient and gave the illusion of being a good barbershop.
I had a three hour layover and was excited to see I could get a haircut and cross off a to-do before I got home.
Get there at 9:55 on a Friday so I can get taken when they open at 10 and make it back in plenty of time for my flight. I wait and wait and wait and at 10:35 I finally give up because nobody came. I headed back to airport to go through security (you do have to leave the secured area if you're on a layover, it's down by the O'Hare Hilton).
Truly disappointed, I was really pumped to check this out but clearly that had more pressing matters to tend to.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kirk F.Lake Worth, FL13970258Jul 20, 2015
Well what can I say, Ivan and the boss run a great business with awesome customer service. I called ahead and they turned down not one but three customers holding the chair for me to get a cut between flights and one customer was one of Chicago's best!
Anyway, I had a great haircut and experience!
Definitely will stop by again if I'm needing a haircut or even touch up!
Thanks Ivan (and the boss)!
Just so you know, the location is outside security and I had a 2.5 hour layover. Went straight there and made it back to security within about 1.25 hours.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Charles K.Utica, MI081Jun 17, 2019
If you are looking for a solid, no-frills haircut, this place is ideal. The only drawback (if you're a transfer passenger) is that this gem is outside security in the tunnel between T2 and the Hilton. Been wanting to try it for some time and finally had long enough layover to give it a go- glad I did. The crew is professional, fun and do precisely what you ask for. $30 plus tip, well spent. Whether you're headed off on vacay or to a big meeting, this place can be trusted to get you set- Highly recommend.

Great haircut & Barber is very nice. 50.00 price is very overpriced though. Guess I learned my lesson and need to ask price ahead of time.

This barbershop was recommended to me by a friend of mine who previously told me that this was the place to go! I even was the man! He totally hook me up without any issues. He gave me a straight price. And he did an amazing job. Dude totally faded me up. I appreciate your work guys and I will be a lifelong customer.

Exceptional staff, very friendly atmosphere. I called ahead to check to see if they would be open late on a Friday evening because our flight was delayed. The staff stayed past closing time so my boyfriend could get his haircut. Truly enjoyed the experience and would recommend them to anyone!!

Next time, I'll wait to get my hair cut by Ivan as the reviews seem to suggest... I had my hair cut here once before (not by Ivan) and I was extremely happy with that cut, so I went back for the second time about a month later. I learned that the barber who had previously cut my hair was no longer at the establishment, and Ivan wasn't in, so based on my previous good experience I sat down for a cut with one of the ladies. I liked that first cut so much that I'd taken a couple pictures of it so I could refresh the barber's memory-- I showed them to the stylist, and she said "sure!"
About 30 minutes or so into the cut, I started to get the feeling that my stylist didn't really know what she was doing. A few minutes more and it became very apparent that she actually, really, did not know what she was doing... Luckily, one of the other ladies noticed and stepped in to skillfully assist/finish the cut. I walked away with a fairly decent haircut, though it was much, much, shorter than I wanted, and it didn't capture the character of my first cut (I really liked that cut... It was unique, and that's something I value)... Though the second lady did the best she could with what she had left to work with. But you know what? that's okay-- sometimes the haircut just doesn't come out the way you hoped. Even the barber I used to go to sometimes failed to recreate my previous cut, albeit very rarely.
So here's my real issue: I would have liked to have known that my stylist was just learning! I know ya gotta start somewhere, and it might be hard to get a head of hair to practice on if that head thinks you don't exactly know what you're doing; however, you can get haircuts for free at a beauty school for just that reason. A shop must be upfront with its customers about this sort of thing-- it shouldn't just sit customers down with a novice barber/stylist and hope for the best. I never thought I'd have to ask the person I'm paying to cut my hair whether or not they know what they are doing, but I'm afraid that I will from now on!
Anyway, I'm leaving a 4-star review because she did give me $10 off for the experience, I did like my first cut, and I'd really like this place to stick around for the sheer convenience of it being in the airport.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bianca D.Chicago, IL06Dec 30, 2018
This place is awesome and such a great location! The staff is super friendly and they have comfortable recliners and free WiFi if you have to wait. I would recommend this shop to anyone with a long layover or if you're flying into Chicago. You will not leave disappointed!

This is not only the best haircut I have ever had at an airport, it's the best haircut I have ever had *period*. Ivan's attention to detail was impressive. Very professional and friendly, too. I will be back during all my ORD layovers.
Thanks Ivan!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kyle J.Chicago, IL16732Mar 26, 2018
My husband got a haircut 3 weeks ago and he still looks amazing! I have never seen a cut last better than this! I waited for him in the comfy chairs and Ivan was very hospitable! We will be back!
