Tesco Stores

When there is not many places open very early in the morning Tesco often is the only option. They do provide a good selection of sandwiches and offer meal deals.
There is a petrol station by Tesco next to this large Tesco store.

This is my regular store which i do my weekly shop in so obviously it is a store which i think is great. It is a really big store. As well as food shopping it also has a cafe, clothes section, toys and electrical department.The service that receive at this shop is very good. Recently i was overchrged by mistake and i was given double of the difference that they had over charged.


The prices generally are good and they are often giving special offers throughout the year.


The cafe food is also very good and after a big shop it is great just to relax and enjoy a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake.


The loyalty card scheme that they have is really great. For every pound that you spend you get 1 loyalty point. I save up my loyalty points and spend them a christmas.

An excellent branch of Tesco very large with just about everything you'd need for the store cupboard!! Lovely fresh and chilled foods plus all the tinned, packet and frozen varieties. Lots of housewares too, plus stationery, gifts, toys, flowers, and so much more. I was amazed to see the opticians shop inside (first time I'd ever seen one in any branch of Tesco!) and I stopped to browse through the frames as I'm planning to change mine soon. There is a nice cafe too. The car park is large, just across the road from the racecourse, and there's a handy petrol station (I filled up the tank as I was there). I'll definitely visit this store again the next time I'm in Ayr.

Huge new store - with everything you could imagine - I even saw washing machines in there the last time I was in. The cafe - although run by a different company (Compass group i think) - has a great view overlooking the racecourse. Usual tesco prices and service - with quite a large selection of clothing. Parking is great, unless your trying to drop someone off or pick up - since the taxi's seem to take over the part right at the stores door.
A new addition to the store is an opticians - which is filled to the brim with every style of frame imaginable.

As much as I prefer to support locally owned shops, this Tesco is staffed by incredibly friendly people. Made our holiday so much more pleasant...........isn't that strange to say? But it's true. Checker gave us a great recommendation of the best beach t go to, bakery lady picked out freshest scones.......

Excellent superstore, has everything you need. Groceries and homeware, clothes etc, constantly changing stock. The staff are mostly accomaodating and friendly. The new direct part of the store is excellent and they will do their best to get goods to you as soon as possilble. The canteen is very good too. New bureau de change, good rates.

Quite simply the worst tesco I've ever been in. They are always running out of everything I want to buy (or maybe I just pick bad times to go in!), the staff are not very helpful or friendly - and they never ever remember to give out the green clubcard points. You get told to go to the customer service desk to get your green clubcard points - but there's always a queue at it (presumably all the other people who also haven't been given them when they should) so I never have time to wait.


On the plus side, the car parking is good - plenty of it. The trollys are also good - easy to push, even if you've got a disability. In fact they're much better than any other supermarket's trolley. And there's a petrol station.
