The staff was friendly. They have a building in front of range where you sign in and watch a video first in order to purchase a wristband for our daily use of the range. Cost is $12.00 per person
We were able to maneuver between rifle and pistol ranges. There are several different lengths as well.
The range master, Carlos, was friendly and very helpful. He made the experience better.
Don't forget to bring ear and protection. Also your own targets and tape or stapler to hang them up. The store does sell all of the above as well if you forget.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James J.Dexter, NY052Jan 6, 2024
State run organization. Very well maintained, kind and helpful personal. Great maintained equipment. Enjoyed ourselves there.

It was a fantastic day at Tenoroc Shooting for Bustin Clays. This was my first time to Tenoroc. The area appeared very clean and well maintained. The mosquitos were awful while it was still dark outside. However once the sun came up it wasn't bad.
The clay targets were a decent size and it was neat that they went in different directions/speeds.
I think this would be a fantastic location for other sports/hobbies. I know they have archery and a few other activities offered here.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Richard L.Orlando, FL281391054Oct 16, 2021
Clean and organized outdoor range for both pistols and rifles. They also have options for archery and moving targets. That's why I can't give a 5 start till I check out all the facilities. However the gun range was very safe especially for new time shooters practicing. Overall, I highly suggest checking this place out. Also tip bring your own ammo and targets because it's very popular spot run own quick.

As far as shooting ranges go, this place is incredible.
I mainly come here for the Sporting Clays facility. It consists of 15 stations each with 2 clay target throwing locations. It is kind of like "golf for shotguns". You walk to each station and each person in your group takes turns trying to shoot the targets then you walk to the next station. If you do the entire course it will take you a couple hours and cost about $40/ea (plus ammo).
They also have a 50yd/100yd rifle range. My only problem here is that there is no "in-between" - meaning the targets are actually fixed at either 50/100yd. Not a big deal, but if you wanted to try shooting different distances it's not an option. They provide wood backers and staple guns, but you need to bring your own targets, ammo, eye and ear protection. They have a nice cycle of cold/hot which allows everyone time to shoot and then reset targets.
They also have 50yd pistol range, as well as 5-stand shotgun. The pistol and rifle ranges cost $14/day. The facility is managed by FWC and they recently invested quite a bit of money upgrading the rifle ranges. There is a small shop where you can purchase ammo, targets, drinks, etc.
If you're looking to enjoy a day at an outdoor range, I highly recommend Tenoroc. If you've never tried Sporting Clays this is the place to do it.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kyle N.North Rhea See Dr, Lutz, FL041Apr 18, 2021
This was the first place I ever went shooting and I was quite nervous. Luckily, I was surprised by how organized and in charge the range officers were. Because of manually replacing targets, you actually end up shooting for longer and conserving ammo! I recommend Tenoroc to seasoned firearms practitioners as well as for novices looking for a more relaxed range to get comfortable.

We've been here two times already and love it. The staff is nice and informative. It is reasonably priced and outdoors. All shooting ranges we've experienced are shaded. They are organized and signs are everywhere about what type of armory can be used at a certain section. You can use shotguns, rifles, hand guns... They let kids over 5 yrs of age shoot. We took our 12 yr old son and he shot both of our guns and got to experience our shotgun! We had so much fun with the skeet range! Next time we'll try the rabbit range! You can bring your own guns, bullets, and target paper. Although, they do sell bullets, targets, refreshments, safety head wear (just incase you run low or left anything at home).

First time shooter . First time experience was very enjoyable. This faculty is clean - professional and overall I highly recommend. It's a outdoor experience that gives you a variety selection to practice or watch. Safe and well kept! The staff are friendly and I can't wait to come back for some more practice.
