Full disclosure: I am not a golfer nor do I have much experience on driving ranges. That said, this place was more than adequate for my purposes.
I went there with no clubs, but was able to get a bucket of balls, use some of their extra clubs, and have a fine time for a very reasonable price. Sure, it was a little run down and they appear to be selling the land/place (according to a sign on the front), but it was fun.
Moreover, I've made it part of a little afternoon event with some buddies: hit some balls at Tee To Green, and then go have some beer at Local Bar. Perfect combination of fun and no-frills.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Zach P.New York, NY027Aug 9, 2016
Had a really negative experience at tee to green. Went for a fitting and shop was closed when arrived--they had mistaken scheduled time. Finally got onto range and fitter, Rick, walks out and hands me 3 old model clubs. Watches me hit a few, before I ask about trackman---as this is the main reason I went to Tee to Green. Rick acts shock and promises it will come out later. I then learn that they don't even had the top model clubs available to hit. No apologies from Rob or Rick, just a "we can get it and have you come back."
As for the range, calling it a range may be generous. Poor grass with uneven lies and only a pocket of the hitting area goes beyond 250. Balls are old and fly inconsistently.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jen C.Cary, NC2761Feb 19, 2017
The owner Rick was extremely rude to my husband and I. We had bought 2 buckets of balls the week prior and the grass was in horrible condition so we decided to only hit one bucket and call it a day. We returned the next week and proceeded to use the leftover token where Rick yelled at us on the range and accused us of "buying tokens on e-bay" to save the $10 on a bucket. How ridiculous.
The triangle is FULL of great driving ranges, much better than this one. I would recommend Knights Play which is a short drive away in Apex which has better balls, lights, and the ability to hit both grass and mats, AND 27 holes of par 3's which are a step above your average pitch and putt.
Moral of the story: Way better options around here. No use driving all the way out to Pittsboro to this po-dunk broken down range.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ben M.Sanford, NC55May 30, 2016
I just had a lesson with Rob and the results are just amazing! I've taken several lessons with other instructors, but none of them instantly dropped my handicap 5 strokes overnight like Rob's. I can't say enough about this guy, he's the real deal.

Update to my previous review. After almost two full months of hitting my new fitted shaft, my handicap has dropped 7 strokes. Thank you Rick. I will be back soon to get PROPERLY FITTED for a 3 wood. Nothing is properly fitted by the big box guys. Nothing. Come here. End of story.

I have a Ping G30, arguably the best driver available to the general public; and decided to go see Rick this evening. After about 5 minutes of watching me swing my club; Rick changed my shaft. My drives are a lot tighter and accurate (fairway zone) and by changing out my shaft to a different Ping shaft, I am hitting the ball higher, straighter, and 15-25 yds farther CONSISTENTLY. It took Rick 10 minutes (at most) to fix this. There is a reason their awards and accolades by the manufactures are coming in and multiplying year after year. If you want to improve your golf game, this is your last stop. THANKS RICK!

Excellent experience getting fitted for new clubs. Natural grass range is well kept - like a fairway to give you a true sense of the clubs. Rick and rob at both extremely knowledgable and have a great eye for the right (and wrong) clubs for the player. They also take the time to be sure that you are getting the right set for you - I was there over an hour for the fitting
Prices are reasonable, though they did not try to entice me to one club over another based on price. They left the decision up to my swing.
I would recommend them to anyone, regardless of skill level. And I would never get fitted for clubs indoors againHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom D.Apex, NC1114Jul 28, 2013
I got my clubs here and was custom fit. It made a big difference in my game. Rob and Rick are great fitters and give good lessons. They work hard here to keep the tee area plush.

One of the best club fitters in the country. Always hitting off grass. That alone warrants five stars. Hate to let the word out on this gem.

Absolutely the best driving range around - it's all about the grass! The owners are brothers - Rob is one of the best instructors around and his twin brother Rick is likewise one of the best club fitters around. They are on the Golf Digest Top 100 club fitters of America list. With an awesome grass range, a professional instructor and club fitter, this place has everything you need to get your game to the next level. I'm a scratch golfer primarily because I've been coming here, taking lessons and getting fit for clubs for over 10 years now. Highly recommended!
