Pure gold. I stumbled upon this little gem of a place on my way to the dance studio. I wasn't in the mood for an alcoholic beverage and coffee would keep me up way past my bedtime but I wanted a little something.... I just didn't know what until I discovered Teaus (pronounced tea house with no breath in between).
The space has a lot of charm with exposed brick walls, dark brown hardwood floors, pink tin ceilings with track lights that give the illusion of copper and an eclectic seating arrangement consisting of high chairs, corner benches by the window, and standard dining tables.
The staff is sweet, friendly and eager to please. I also love that they are open late as its currently 9:30pm on a Friday night and I get to cozy up with a warm, delicious cup of their herbal green tea blend. They have nice large windows where one can sit and people watch.
Teaus knew exactly what I needed this evening and delivered
One drawback is that they are on the pricey side ($3.55 for a cup of tea) but in the heart of Park Slope that's to be expected so I won't take off any stars for that.
Teaus is cute, quaint, charming and a nice way to unwind in a quiet atmosphere where tea lovers can unite.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Leo L.Brooklyn, NY2273361363May 8, 2015
My favorite new spot in Park Slope. What makes this place different is the uniqueness of their menu options, Teaus offers many unique tea favors, Hot & Cold, they make Tea Flavors with rose water and an actual rose in your drinks... wow.
You can really taste the quality ingredients in their tea. Teaus has a few locations in NYC, but this one is in my neighborhood which totally put Teaus on my radar.
I was looking for a place to grab something to drink, with good wifi and just kill sometime and hang, Teaus was the perfect place.
Teaus also offer small bites such as sliders and other Asian style apps.
I truly enjoy coming to Teaus a place where you can enjoy some good drinks, good bites and a chill atmosphere
Don't forget to check in or buy the Yelp deal.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 20, 2015
BEST ROSE MILK TEA.
i really enjoy the rose milk tea and the lavender milk tea, although the rose is better the lavender is still very good.
while i was there with my sisters two ladies came in and ordered their drinks, but it took awhile because there seemed to be a language barrier. there was one person who seemed to understand english fairly well, and the cashier had a hard time understanding what they were asking. teaus should consider adding other things to their teas like honey boba, jellies, or something. they offer the drinks in a cute glass jar that you can take home or plastic cups.
location is super tiny. seats about 6 peopleHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Julie L.Brooklyn, NY6461111733Oct 26, 2014
A tea room that not pretentious. They carry a wide array of different teas so it's impossible to get bored. My recommendation is to try the rose tea or hot lavender tea with honey first. It will keep you coming back. Keep your beautiful glass bottle of returns for the 50 cent discount.
Great snacks include potato croquettes and yakisiba- a Japanese fried noodle with a slow heat and tons of flavor.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aparna D.Brooklyn, NY3185Sep 20, 2014
I was just thinking Park Slope has everything BUT a good tea cafe...and Teaus popped up, answering my wishes for tea, wifi, and casual cafe experience. The staff are friendly and quirky and want you to enjoy.
A couple of tips: Keep your bottle & bring it back for 50¢ off every time. If you're not familiar with Asian tea shops...sweet sounding flavors (florals & fruit - and most others, to be honest) will be SWEET. Ask for less sweet for a more balanced, familiar flavor. They were happy to remake a drink for my friend who tried the lavender mint tea but found it too sweet. I've had the rose iced tea & strawberry mint tea, both less sweet, and enjoyed both.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samantha Q.Long Island, NY5657101Oct 22, 2014
I really like this place! Walked in and it kinda looks like a backyard garden. Super cute. Ton of tea choices which I love (not a coffee person)
It's inexpensive too! I ordered a jasmine green tea & Tomato Soup = $7.89 :'D happy wallet.
This place got packed around 5:30 ( came an hour earlier)
Overall, super friendly service, super delicious tea & yummy soup! If you're a tea person, come hereeee!
P.S don't know if the soup is homemade, it tasted pretty average...but it has huge chunks of veggies!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jocelyn C.Brooklyn, NY39847370Apr 7, 2015Purchased a Yelp Deal
The owner was nice and explained what happened that day and took responsibility. The tea and pudding looks so delicious and cute!
It's also worth it since the glass is sturdy.
Planning to come here again with my friends!

The menu and yelp said they open at 11am. I arrived at teaus at 11:10am,hoping to get drinks early. However, they were locked. I waited until 12pm for an employee to come open the store, but nobody came. I ended up not getting the drinks. I was looking forward to it.
Next time, they should stick to an official opening time instead of opening whenever they feel like it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Our Teaus Van broke down today on the highway, and I do apologize for opening late today. And thank you very much for your valuable feedback.

Best Tea hands down! Each order of tea comes in a small glass bottle that you can keep or get 50 cents off on your order. The garden decor makes you feel like your in your small cottage back yard! Great selection of drinks and Japanese snacks which are great for you to grab a quick lunch!
Staffs are friendly and social they were open to answer all of my questions regarding their drinks! Would definitely visit them again! Overall a great experience!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angela H.Los Angeles, CA62831771Mar 27, 2015
After two acceptable delivery experiences, my brother was met with a pretty ridiculous third delivery- 3 hours and 40 minutes wait time. He actually had to order dinner elsewhere after 1.5 hours of waiting.
I wasn't about to risk another 3.5 hour delivery, so I placed an online order when the restaurant opened, waited ten minutes, then walked a mile through light rain to pick up the food. Only to discover, upon arrival, that the girl behind the counter hadn't even looked at the order.
She claimed they had 'just opened', which is true, but she also had 30 mins to prep my order. While prepping my food, she intermittently sent voice texts to someone via her iPhone about what a large order she had just received. Come on lady, I'm trying to get home ASAP before the rain torrents begin.
Pros:
Tasty milk teas- lavender and rose milk recommended
Cons:
No boba
Small, expensive portions
$8 for three slices of pork belly sliced in half to give the illusion that there were more pieces, drenched in salty sauce just didn't cut it. Neither did the sad side salad that had been soaking in some strange vinegar.
$5 for popcorn chicken was okay, nothing too special about the dish.
Come for the tasty milk teas if you have time to waste. Don't bother with the food.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

After a not so good experience at teaus 2 days ago , we came back and gave teaus another try. The owner offered anything on the house for free and we came back to order the drinks. He explained to us what happened and was really friendly. Their tea puddings are really cute also. Overall , the atmosphere is satisfying and I'd love to come back another time for drinks !
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Apr 7, 2015Previous reviewTeaus is actually a great place , but I gotta say , this teaus is one of the worst I've ever went to. It all started when I was going with a friend hoping to buy a few drinks for friends and family. As we got there , we realized it was closed. Okay we thought maybe it wasn't 11 yet , but when I checked my phone, it was past 11... Okays .. Maybe it would be opened at 11 30. So we waited until 12 and no signs of anyone opening the store. We were pretty upset and disappointed of how this teaus let our hopes down.
Maybe if they kept their words saying they would open at 11am we wouldn't have wasted about an hour waiting and left empty handed. This review would haven been a 5 star instead.
