Along with the vegan Impossible Burger, are other options for a this sandwich offered? Such as a vegan bun, vegan cheese, etc.?
A:
The sandwich needs to be on sourdough bread (only vegan option), they don't have any vegan cheese, make sure to get it without the homemade sauce (not vegan) and request to have it cooked in oil because it's usually cooked with butter (also not… more

I really enjoyed the California burger - love that it has all these extra cheffy items (fried egg! balsamic onions! arugula!).
Will say the one time I got it delivered, I found the sweet potato fries extremely underwhelming. They were cold and limp, and they tasted still a bit undercooked. I also got an order of garlic fries which despite being cold, were still crisp and enjoyable, which indicates to me that the sweet potato fries were probably a dud even hot.
Soggy fries aside, I recommend going in person because eating at Gott's at the Ferry Building (in the outdoor seating area) is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 3, 2024
I've heard decent things about Gott's and often stop by to get their soft serve but I was disappointed with my experience.
I was looking for a quick bite on my way to catch the ferry and decided to get their kids meal which came with tenders, fries, and a drink.
The best thing about this meal was the lemonade which was from a bottle. The fries did not taste fresh and weren't very crispy. The tenders were not good. Im pretty sure they served me undercooked chicken and I felt sick afterwards. The breading would just slide off when i but into it and they were poorly coated. It had a slimy taste. The chicken was hard to chew and tasted undercooked. The ranch also isn't good. I love ranch but the one they have here isn't great.
The food wasn't the only bad thing, service wasn't great either. Maybe it was just a bad day but when I asked where the pickup section was the person I asked looked incredibly annoyed by my question. The person who was working pickup also exchanged very few words. As someone who has worked in customer service I always treat service workers with kindness and respect so I know my attitude towards them isn't the reason they're acting that way towards me.
I don't know that I'd come here again if I am being honest. Their other locations might be better but this one isn't it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 18, 2024
Came on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Service was friendly, and the six of us were easily able to find outdoor seating. The Ferry Building is always a vibe.
The Vietnamese chicken salad lives in my head, rent free--I get it every time in the city. It's refreshing yet filling, and the chicken is so crispy without being heavy. The ahi burger and fries were also good. Brussels were fine but I wasn't fighting over them like I was for the fries.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 22, 2024
This spot was pretty busy. There was an older guy at the cashier who seemed pretty rushed when taking our order. People need to have some patience when it comes to customers. This spot is at a tourist hot spot, it is many customer's first time so be a little considerable when taking our order. Besides this hiccup with the customer service this spot still deserves a 4 star because the food here is actually really good.
The poke taco was delicious. Tasted pretty fresh. The chicken tenders were juicy and weren't dry. Fried to perfection cause it was crispy.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 6, 2024
Love this little place in the ferry building in Embarcadero! I went there for a late brunch on a sunny day! 10/10 recommend to go there for sunny day SF vibes and get seated outside! Their patio is great for people watching! You order inside at the counter so it's a little more casual. We just walked in and found ourselves a seat on the patio a few mins later. Their service is decently fast given it's a casual eatery and a good first or second date spot in my opinion. They have a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian salad, bowl, sandwich and burger options and they have kombucha and beer too! I'd definitely recommend eating here with family on a nice casual sunny Sunday.

We stopped by the ferry building to grab some dinner and came across this place, as most of the other eateries were closed.
You order at the counter and grab the food from the pickup station once it is ready. The seating is first come, first served, but there's usually plenty of space available. We were a group of six and were able to find a table large enough for us.
I got the mahi mahi fish tacos, and most of my friends got burgers. We also shared some garlic fries. The taco was good - had good portions of fish. My friends enjoyed their burgers as well. The garlic fries were pretty good as well. The portions were quite large.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 11, 2024
I came here with my nephew for a late lunch after going to the Exploratorium not that far down the Embarcadero we walked to the Salesforce transit center to go home on the 38, which is 3 blocks on Mission Street. We shared a burger and an order of french fries. We each had a milkshake he a strawberry and me a chocolate. I ordered each flavor a kid size but they gave him a larger size than I asked for. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside and it was nice. The total of the items with tip was $30 not bad for SF and being in the ferry building.

My GF and I were literally the last to order because it was on New Year's Eve and they were closing early.
We shared the Fried Brussel Sprouts, Cheese Fries, & Onions Rings while we both each had a Bacon Cheeseburger. We ordered a lot because we were starving and (you betcha) that we finished our food because (in my many cultures) I try not to waste.
The food was pretty mid; not going to lie. The burger was pretty mid; it was good, it just wasn't great. I liked the sides more than the burger itself. I was a little disappointed with the amount of Onion Rings we got, although it was pretty crunchy. The Brussel Sprouts were tasty but it was pretty oily; I'm assuming it was because they fried it. The Cheese Fries were good; it was the standard nacho cheese on top of French Fries. I was only disappointed because the fries were soggy. I mean not even the fires that weren't topped with cheese were crispy. It could be because the kitchen had to reheat their fryer because we came in so late but even so...My GF is much nicer and said it was probably because it was the New Year but even so...I don't think the quality of your food should drop just because of that.
Our server did rush us when we were ordered but it could be because he was waiting to close the register down while we stood there wondering what we should get. Again, I don't think quality of service should've changed because of the circumstance. They were also pretty rude when it came to telling people that they were closed; again, it was the New Year so their hours were different that day but I've worked during a closing shift at a movie theater. it isn't that hard to say "I'm so sorry but we are closed right now" in a nice tone.
The place is huge. I mean, its on the Embarcadero so it should be able to hold a lot of people. There was a huge crowd when we went, we were lucky to find a table inside. We did have to wait a while to get our food. I know other people had to wait as well. I will blame the wait time for the fact that we came late though.
If you are on Embarcadero there are a lot of other places to try but if you want a burger and some fries, I guess Gott's Roadsides got you covered.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Abigael K.San Francisco, CA3125167Apr 18, 2024
If you can't tell from the photo, I very much enjoyed my food. So much so that I forgot to take a photo before I've eaten most of it. Gotts is in a beautiful location in the ferry building and their food is really yummy. I highly recommend any of the burgers and their fries. But if you're feeling healthy, they also have a good selection of salads to choose from. Great spot for lunch if you work in the area or are visiting and stop by the ferry building.
