Target

I wanted to give a shout out to Asim who works at target. When I'm struggling to find something, he always stops what he's doing and helps me and I really appreciate it. You don't get that very often actually most of the Target people I've ever asked for help I've been very helpful.

I have been to various Targets in many different cities and states, and this is my least favorite of all time. As much as I love Target overall, this location isn't great. I was here 3 times while home visiting my parents and both experiences were blah.

The first time I came shopping in store. The parking lot is insane. It was early afternoon and we still had to park very far away. Inside the store things looked like a tornado went through in many different sections. They also had empty spots, and were out of quite a few things. The one thing that made me happy was the special biodegradable, reusable bags they are now using. They are super sturdy and def worth reusing, esp with NY State's plastic bag ban going into effect in the spring.

The second and third times I did online order for pickup in store. I dont know if this is a newer option at this Target, but at home I am used to this being a very quick process. They even have reserved parking for it. Here I had to wait in line with everyone else wanting something out of the customer service desk, to which only one person was working. One instance I showed my barcode and they said it wasn't needed just my ID. The second instance they wanted my barcode and not the ID. No consistency. Some of my products ordered online upon pickup were not available and had to be cancelled.

I love Target!! I came here since I needed a few travel essentials during and right before I am leaving on my trip home. It's your typical layout of Target with some food, clothing, home essentials, etc.

They have self scan lanes which I used both times here without any issues.

The pharmacy has the BEST pharmacy customer service in the area. Friendly. Explained everything. Worked extra patiently to explain the corporate climate of both the CVS buy out AND our health insurance affiliation.

Asked us questions and answered all of ours and then some.
We were treated with respect, kindness and discretion (HIPPA promises fulfilled!!!).

The store is immaculate.
The sales staff is always kind.
The ease of finding everything makes shopping here SO MUCH nicer.

It's one of the best targets and big stores in NYS. (We travel all over NY so say this literally).

OH... and Market Pantry brand.... delivers in every product.
A total win-win.

This is a review for the CVS pharmacy inside the Target.

Absolutely outstanding customer service from Elaine, who dealt with everyone very sympathetically and professionally. Went out of her way, several times, to offer insurance work-arounds. Highly recommended, especially for local college students who need a little hand-holding.

Restores my faith in humanity (and in big-box stores!).

This is a really great Target. It's spacious, not too crowded, and laid out well. They have all of the major departments, including a food section. I've found it to be an enjoyable shopping experience, and I've shopped in the makeup, food, home, women's, men's, bedding, toys, and electronics sections in the past.

They usually have plenty of check-outs open, so you don't have to wait once you're ready to pay.

Parking can be tough--during busy times, I find that I have to park pretty far into the parking lot, since it's mall parking, not just Target parking.

I've shopped here for the past several years. I have had great service from the CVS pharmacy inside the store (was previously Target pharmacy). I wish they were still able to use the previous Target bottles - they were an improvement over traditional prescription bottles. The CVS website for pharmacy leaves much to be desired, it is easier to call or communicate with the pharmacists in person via using the website to manage prescriptions.

I've found better prices here, especially compared to items found at local Rite Aid, Kinney and Walgreen's stores. Items that I can purchase at local grocery stores (Hannaford, Price Chopper, etc) are hit or miss as far as lower prices, especially with Cartwheel app and weekly sales.

Stocking the store is good here at this location. Items are typically replenished often. The floors/shelves are also kept tidy.

I wish they would remove the large stationary bins that are in the main corridors now. They seem to think they will attract business to those particular items, but they are merely just an obstacle for ppl to move their carts and themselves around.

Taking off one star since I find that perishable and non-perishable food items are still on shelves past expiration dates (and molded). I've advised store personnel but it doesn't seem to matter.

The first sign of a good store is cleanliness. with the busy 4th of July holiday approaching, I was pleasantly surprised to find this store exceptionally clean and well stocked. Even the restrooms were spotless!
I have been to this Target store many times and they always have pleasant people throughout the store to help if you need assistance finding things. They always have plenty of cashiers open so your time waiting in line is minimal.
Parking is shared with the other stores in the mall, so during busy times it can be a challenge. I prefer to park farther away and add some walking work-out into my shopping time, but this may not work for everyone. There seem to be plenty of handicap spaces if that is helpful.
I love that this Target store is always well stocked and that the clearance section is well organized. I have shopped other stores where clearance items are thrown on the floor and sizes are not grouped together.
Target has high quality merchandise in every department at good prices.
I always have a great experience shopping at Target at Sangertown Square in New Hartford and highly recommend this store.
