John came out this morning and quickly identified what was wrong with the wiring on my porch light. He repaired it and then replaced the old fixture with a new one that I had already purchased. He also sealed the fixture base with silicone to keep moisture out since my house is so close to the beach and there were signs of rust and corrosion inside the old housing.
He also diagnosed a problem with a dimmer switch I have and I ordered a new one.
He was on time, fast, cleaned up completely and that impressed me since it was my first time meeting him.

Swift replaced our main panel and did an excellent job. We had been searching for months for someone to take on the job, and other electricians flaked. Jake on the other hand was all over it. He was responsive, fast, and above all competent. Would recommend Jake and his team highly.

Well...they're no longer accepting clients. I sent them a message asking for an estimate, complete with photos. Waited all day for a response. Received this, at the end of the day...
"Hi Vic , we are sorry to announce that we are no longer taking on additional work. We are unable to help you on this . Our apologies"
So, pass on these guys, save yourself some time and move on.
**post-owner response...this isn't a "negative review" and it's not snotty. It was simply letting people know that you guys aren't available for work. If I'd known that, I wouldn't have waited all day to hear from you based on your Yelp ratings, I would've just called someone else to begin with.

The reason why we aren’t taking on employees is because we are overwhelmed with fire repair work to those who are in dire need of attention . I could have explained that to you in the response to your request but I would have never guessed to receive a 1 star review simply for being honest about our current situation.
In an effort to avoid particular public negative reviews are yours we have been working diligently with Yelp in hopes to be taken completely off of Yelp during this time . Yelp has a strict policy only cancelling accounts and because we are still in business but not wanting to advertise they do not allow account cancellations . So, with that being said we thank you for providing this opportunity to share with the public on our current position .
We are sorry , but right now we are not taking on additional work in an effort to help those affected by the Thomas fire and get caught up with some large projects . We are happy to recommend other electricians out to those who miss our services . Please message us for referrals as a way of attempting to offer our services . And I'm so glad it is a positive one..
Called Swift Electric early on a Monday morning and spoke with John, super nice guy. He was able to fit me in that very same morning and resolved my issue in less than 20 minutes!!!
Amazing response time and great customer service.
Prices are very reasonable and he even gave me a discount because I mentioned I found them on Yelp!

Love Jake Swift & Swift Electric!
Chris and I are re-doing our garage and while Chris is able to do the flooring and drywall, electrical work makes him a little bit nervous. So we found Swift Electric through Yelp and called him based on his positive previous reviews. Jake came out to our home in the evening at a time that was convenient for both of us and evaluated the situation. About 4 electrical sockets needed to be replaced, 1 needed to be removed completely and a light switch needed to be relocated. He told me it wouldn't be a problem and I told him our concerns about the electrical work being done while the kids were in the house. Jake and one of his partners came to the home, coincidentally during nap time , but they were so quiet and so respectful while they worked, I would have never known they were here.
When Chris got home from work to inspect the finished project, he was extremely pleased. Everything was EXACTLY what he was hoping for and work on our finished garage can now continue. Thanks to Jake and Swift Electric for doing an awesome job, exactly what we were looking for, and for being so friendly and respectful. I never thought I would be so excited to review an electrician, but I am and here goes:
Professional, thoughtful, communicative, thorough, detailed and priced fairly. People, you get what you pay for. And while that phrase sounds expensive, it just means that if you're going to cut corners, please do not do it with electrical. You will be in great hands with Jake and his team. The guys come in ON TIME, do the work, tidy up and then they're gone. And you're done. That's it. Super simple, and you know your walls won't burn down due to some handyman figuring something out for you. Nothing against a great handyman. I would highly recommend Swift Electric for your lighting and electrical needs. They responded to my call right away and are very responsive. When they came to my house, they were very professional. John is awesome and very helpful. They fixed a fan issue that we had been having for months, as well as an outside lighting issue and a breaker that kept getting tripped. They also gave me a quote for a generator.

For honesty alone, these guys get kudos. I woke up one day to the power in my house acting strangely, lights brightened, appliances wouldn't turn on or their dials went off the charts. Very very scary! I called to set up a service appointment and spoke to John. He told me that this problem was very probably an issue with Edison and not within my house. He said why pay a service charge when he was 100% certain that it was with Edison. He even told me that Edison would give me the brush off but to be insistent and tell them that I had fluctuating current, an unbalanced load and a problem with the base neutral. Sure enough Edison did try to brush me off but I kept repeating what John told me, Edison came out and found their overhead line damaged. Thank you John!! You will always have my business.
