I worked with Sweet Peas Florist mostly over the phone in planning my May 2010 wedding flowers. It was a small wedding, but I really wanted quality arrangements and they really seemed to get it.

They were easy to reach by phone and I had several conversations with both Rachelle and Joanna about my wedding. We also emailed a few times. They did a great job making me feel confident about my flower choices and overall plan for the corsages and boutonnieres that we wanted. They were both creative and knowledgeable about different flowers that would compliment one another.

Unfortunately, there were a couple struggles in the planning. First, I was never able to meet with them. Although we were planning from Sacramento we made several trips in the 9 months that I was in contact with them. Their hours were just not conducive to make a visit happen. Second, my bouquet was missing some ribbons. I spoke to them specifically about them ribbons, because I was planning to add my "something borrowed" to them. Instead, the florist dropped them off before anyone could even speak to them about it - I didn't even see the florist on the morning of the wedding. Needless to say, this is a mix up that could've been avoided.

Overall, Sweet Peas does a great job no matter how small your budget and can produce fantastic bridal party arrangements.

I was referred to Sweet Peas Florist by my chiropractor in Tahoe and worked with them almost entirely via emails for a year. This worked wonderfully for me since I actually live in Sacramento. (Our wedding was in Tahoe.)

It was a large wedding and a small budget. While many florist were rather rude when I gave them my budget, Rachelle was not only helpful and accommodating but never pushy. I really didn't think there was a ton of value in the flowers I was going to have but knew I wanted nice enough arrangements and simple bouquets etc. I was glad they proved me wrong and did an amazing job of making our day more vibrant and beautiful than I could have imagined.

They were so easy to work with and never made me feel as though I was pestering them with my many emailed idea's, photo's and last minute changes and/or questions. Both Rachelle and Joanna were always accommodating and quick to respond. There was never a stressful moment in my year of working with them.

To this day, I have yet to meet the the artist (Rachelle) behind the amazing flowers that were delivered that day. I gave her complete "artistic rights" to do whatever she could do within my budget and I was truly pleased the results. I felt they went above and beyond my expectations and anyone would be lucky to have them in their corner on the most memorable days of your life.

We had a sad event in our family and my sister and brother-in-law requested a floral arrangement be sent to our house. At the time they were staying at the Ritz Carlton and they were referred by the Concierge to Sweet Peas. Not long later the most beautiful, creative floral arrangement arrived at our door, delivered by a genuinely sincere young woman who was "sorry for our loss". This was no FTD floral arrangement or delivery by any means. Im posting a picture here since words can not describe the beauty of this floral arrangement.

Thank you to my sister and to Sweet Peas for bringing a sparkle of light to our sad time.

Sweet Peas Floral delivered beautiful flowers! We were thrilled with the centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres. Rachelle delivered everything on time and set up everything beautifully.

      A few small complaints:

      1. I sent a picture of the flower arrangement I wanted for the altar (a bunch of flower petals in a circle, all filled in). We ended up with just a ring of flower petals, not filled in. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it wasn't what I had envisioned or asked for.

      2. Rachelle was not very responsive to emails or phone messages. It would often take weeks to receive a response, if at all. It's best to catch her live on the phone if you can.

Once you can get her on the phone or get her in front of you, she is very helpful, creative, and knowledgeable. She was very accommodating with changes, worked with our budget, and offered suggestions to help us save money while still achieving the look we wanted. Overall, I was pleased with the flowers we received for our wedding.

The owner, after 6 weeks of not responding to emails, asked for a $300 non-refundable deposit to give me a quote because it was too "involved" - ie: I didn't accept the vague first estimate she gave me (after 4 weeks of not responding to me). Clearly, she didn't really want the business. I should add that I had to email her almost weekly to get anything out of her.

SO great! This is my first Yelp and I was so impressed. After searching high and low for a florist open on Monday in Tahoe City, a very nice lady answered the phone. I was extremely frustrated as my Teleflora order was supposed to be delivered for a birthday and then all of the shops they tried were closed (even though my order was guaranteed on the day I placed it). The nice lady at Sweet Peas understood my frustration and told me that although they were closed for the day she would be happy to make a delivery for me. She asked what flowers I liked and told me what flowers she currently had in stock. What a wonderful experience as a customer! I look forward to seeing how the arrangement looks, and I'm sure it will be beautiful!
