Sweet Dogs

The outrageous # of 5 star reviews posted here for Sweet Dogs are for a good, no great, reason. My wife and I had been talking about coming here for years but tonight was the night we both finally decided to give it a go. Each of us enjoyed THE ABSOLUTE BEST hot dog that either of us have EVER eaten in our lives...The Dolphin Dog.

GOOD GOD!! It was un-frickin'-believeably delish along with their damn tasty cheese fries and props out to our cook/server, Angel, who did a totally stellar job providing outstanding customer service.

I grew up in Westchester eating and enjoying Arbetter's hotdogs for many years but quite honestly, the taste & quality of Sweet Dogs just completely blows the doors off of any hot dog competitor in Miami, imo, including Arbetter's. It's not very cheapy-cheapy but that's precisely why it's so good and you definitely get what you pay for as far as quality and quantity. I'll be a customer 4 life and will be back to try The Mac Dog soon! Stay tuned.

Come with me to Sweet Dogs located in Coral Gables. Right on 8th Street is this small joint with incredible hot dog options. Given the title "Best Hot Dogs in the 305," you can taste why. I found out about Sweet Dogs because a friend posted them. I was amazed by how good they looked. I went on a Sunday afternoon with my brother, and it was empty. We were kindly greeted by Angel, who works there.

I ordered the Dolphins Dog and The Mac Dog. The Dolphin Dog has grilled ham, smoked bacon, melted mozzarella cheese, pineapple, homemade sauce, and papitas. The Mac Dog is made with Mac and cheese, Parmesan cheese, and garlic croutons. They use a Polish sausage for their dogs, and for me, this makes them incredible; it has excellent flavor and is juicy. My brother devoured the Dolphin dog, I got a bite, and the flavor was great. I've had Mac and cheese hot dogs before, but The Mac Dog is taking the #1 spot. The buns they use are nice and soft, the Mac and cheese are creamy, and the crushed croutons add a nice texture and flavor. We also ordered their fries, and they were perfectly crispy.

Overall, Sweet Dogs was excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was terrific, and I will for sure be back.

Ugh I've been wanting to try this place forever. Parking was a total pain in the butt! This is a hole in the wall. Smells like fried food, but it's not gross. The server was so nice and helpful. I ordered the Heat hotdog. I really didn't care for it. The chili was not my favorite at all. I took off the chili the most I could and it was good. The hotdog was great. Mac and cheese was VERY good. The popcorn options were yummy. The guy let me try them but for the price of a bag, I skipped. Will I go again? Yes. But I will not order the heat.

Whole in the wall! Most is made to order so you'mre guaranteed something fresh. I wish it was nicely decorated on the inside but it's underwhelming just like walking into a regular shmegular countertop cafe, I love the uniqueness of the product tho!
Definitely treat yourself to it at least once!

My mom and I were craving a hot dog and saw this place has great reviews. Don't judge a book by its cover this place was FANTASTIC. Absolutely delicious Marlins hot dogs and fries. Very happy and will be back.

Wow. I mean. I'm really at a loss for words. That doesn't really happen to me much but I must say this place is a hidden gem. I've lived in the area for YEARS and yesterday was my first time trying this spot. From the customer service, to the concept of the restaurant, to the flavors.... Everything was 10/10. We had The Sweet Dog and The Dolphins, both cut in half so that we could each try it and wow they did not disappoint. Every once in a while I crave a hot dog, and these fulfilled my cravings and more. The decor around the small restaurant is nostalgic as their theme is "Miami Home Teams" so they got the Wade and Bosh Jerseys and a few OG Dolphins ones as well. I can't wait to come back here and try more flavors.

Needed quick food after a long flight. Found sweet dogs on Yelp and lived up to the reviews. Good dogs and chili.

Really, really GREAT hot dogs!! Pick one of their creations or create your own - either way, you won't be disappointed!! The quality of all the ingredients are top notch. But wait...there's more! Lol The fries, the shakes (I had a little taste test), and gourmet popcorn are #chefskiss!!

Sweet Dogs is the spot for amazing hot dogs or popcorn! It's a small joint that houses specialty hot dogs named after local sports teams or schools and amazing popcorn combos. They also have custom hot dogs if you're not into all the toppings, as well as other desserts like soft serve!

Chef Jeo is incredible - so funny and incredibly great service. I went with a friend who had visited once before, and he remembered him after that one encounter months back. We ended up getting the Heat, the U, a side of mac and cheese, the Calle Ocho mix (Oreo, cheddar, and butter popcorn), and their new Crunchy Mix - Cinnamon Toast Crunch popcorn! Both hot dogs were so good. I preferred the U, but the Heat was also tasty with the chili and jalapeños. I loved the addition of corn chips on top for added crunch! The hot dogs had a great snap and were so juicy. I didn't get a chance to try the mac and cheese, but my friend enjoyed it. The popcorns are so delicious and addicting - not too sweet, with just the right mix of sweet and salty. I'm definitely coming back whenever I'm in the area and craving a good hot dog!
