Decided to give Suri another chance on a Wednesday night. Had an amazing time! With a party of 3, we were instructed to pick where we wanted to sit. The restaurant wasn't busy but their bar seemed mostly full.
Our server was attentive and quick. We sampled a variety of dishes. The cured & sliced charcuterie tray was amazing! I loved the thick prosciutto with cheese and honey. Another favorite we also really enjoyed were the lollipop lamb chops. Cooked just right, they were a hit at our table. It came under a bed of a Greek salad which was also devoured. Management checked in on us a few times and asked if there's anything they could bring.
Overall great experience and loved the vibe of the restaurant.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Jan 20, 2017Previous reviewSuri Tapas has a few locations but I have only tried the Lake Worth restaurant. They offer valet parking but you should be able to easily find street parking. Upon entrance, there is an outside patio with seating. The restaurant is dimmed and seem a bit dark. The indoors couch seating is surprisingly extremely comfortable.
Menu has a lot of great selections. Seafood, beef, chicken, pork and a mixture of a few cuisines. They had Cajun, American and Latin American. I tried a few items and what I noted was that their presentation was key. Lots of colors and item placement made the dishes very appealing. I dined in here twice and strongly feel that the second time lacked flavor and quality from the first time I visited. The Ribeye steak I ordered the first time was full of juice and flavor. However, on my second visit, the Ribeye came out as requested - medium rare - but one small side was not cooked. It also was cold in the middle. Cold steak = not good. The Cured & Sliced meat and cheese tray lacked quality the second time around. They also removed the jam that came with the appetizer the first time I was there. Also do not order the Tre Filet. The truffle butter and foie gras that comes with the filets are extremely tiny and not even pleasant to eat.
I do recommend the Wagyu Beef sliders and Ribeye (if cooked correctly). The sweet onions and mushrooms make the Ribeye taste so much better with each bite. However, I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. - Chelsea H.Jupiter, FL2972319Jun 11, 2019
Okay let me start by saying this is the best Happy Hour in town. $10 bottomless wine for late night and amazing deals during the day on their food as well.
The food is absolutely phenomenal. The Apple & Brie Flatbread is my favorite. I crave it breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The chicken biscuit is another one of my favorites. I've loved everything I've tried so far.
The staff is always pleasant and friendly. I went in sick and one of the girls made me the best Hot Toddie I've ever had. This place is definitely a treasure in Downtown Lake Worth.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 60810577Jun 30, 2019
Do you even know what Tapas is (are)? I didn't know until just a few years ago, when I met a friend at a Tapas restaurant, not paying much attention to the menu, more focused on her beautiful starry eyes. I let the waiter bring us an excellent selection, and when they arrived, I turned to my guest and said "These are tiny portions, don't you think?" and yes, I was embarrassed for not knowing what Tapas is or are... whatever.
Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, I was instructed to meet our meetup group here at Suri Tapas, and I remembered the story above, starry eyes and small portions, and all. Now I was prepared.
Boning up on my culture class reminded me that Tapas is a Spanish word meaning "snack" and for many of those American Tapas restaurants, they take it one step further. They certainly do here at Suri Tapas as well. The restaurant is well appointed as is the bar, with the obligatory large screen TV behind the bartender. The seating outside is challenging in the summer, but inside it's nice and cool.
The funny thing about the bar, I ordered my "regular" evening drink: 12-year-old McCallan neat (which means no ice, just straight up.) The waiter scurried over to the bartender and returned empty-handed; "sorry, we don't have McCallans," which left me with no real alternative. SO I went drinkless, which was ok.
We were seated, handed menus, and the waiter kept checking in to see if we were ready to order. I was hungry and didn't want a bunch of little plates, so I ordered the salmon dinner. Yeah, I am boring sometimes, I should have been my more adventurous self. But I was paying more attention to the content of our meeting. Eventually, everyone placed their order.
We started with the Dueling Calamari, which I thought was excellent. Not too bready served piping hot. Then, one of our members insisted I try the Brussel Sprouts. If my mom found out I was eating Brussel Sprouts, she would have declared victory on the spot. But if you pan-roast them all crispy and toss in some grated parm, some horseradish and a bit of siracha aioli, and YUM they were excellent. What is happening to me? Next stop Cauliflower? Oh No!
My dinner was not on the menu; I was a chef's special. The Salmon filet was uniquely seasoned and quite delicious; the sides were right too, not that memorable though. The meals were brought out as they were ready since we arrived at different times. That's usually a no-no, but forgivable under the circumstance. I cleaned my plate, and I wasn't alone. That skinny young lady who seemed as if a whole Brussel Sprout would have filled her to the brim was going full steam, finishing everything just like I did.
I was feeling pretty satisfied with the food, I liked the restaurant, and then we all took separate checks. Truthfully, that was a little surprising; it was an expensive meal. Yes, it was good, there was enough food, but about $60 with no alcohol is generally considered on the high side.
But sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you get more than what you paid for and this time I think it was a good but expensive meal. I did leave feeling that I cheated myself, I should have ordered some tapas, which I will address next time I return.
Check it out, summer evenings in Lake Worth are delightful, no crowds, quick service all around and enjoy the downtime because the snowbirds will be back with a vengeance real soon!
P.S. I was late for Happy Hour but I heard it's worth getting there early!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lawrence C.Palm Beach, FL1016095Mar 1, 2020
Suri May look daunting and expensive from the outside, but it's not - at all. The menu is amazing and reasonably priced, and there are a ton of delicious and interesting items to chose from. And, if you get Ronna as your server, she'll be sure to tell you the BEST thing to get - she's never steered me wrong; she's the best. Be sure to try the Nutella Zepoles and the Mexican Street Corn. Thank you Ronna for the recommendations, again!

Our first visit here. We ordered the 5.00 bar bites. Chicken biscuit, fish cakes, mozzarella sticks, hot wings. We likes the mozzarella the best. The menu is humongous!!!! Service and foods as just a sooo.

OH. MY. GOSH. One of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time. I love the American alternative cuisine and small plate "tapas" style. Great place to share plates and get tastes of a few things - perfect for a date night! I love the trendy, intimate atmosphere, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating.
Today I had dinner here with my cousin. We used a Groupon - what a great find! Great service and the food is impeccable - amazing flavors and wonderful presentation. We ordered the: Stone Fire Brie ($14), Waygu Beef Suri Slider ($5.50), Blackened Mahi Tapas Taco ($6), Sur-thern Chicken Biscuit ($12), and the Smoked Tomato and Chicken Mac N Cheese ($15). That's $53.50 between two people, and there was so much food! We honestly should have ordered a lot less food. We left stuffed and didn't have room for dessert, so we're saving that for next time.
I can't recommend this place enough. Suri Tapas Bar is one of my favorite spots now, and only two miles from home. You won't be disappointed!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Richard S.Delray Beach, FL43520287816Feb 1, 2017
Went with friends who kids recommended Suri.
We had reservations but they seated right in front of the kitchen where it was very loud and noisy. Niklas was our server, very knowledge and good but unfortunately always has a toothpick in his mouth.
It is Tapas so the food comes out whenever it is ready.
Started with 3 starters, Thai Calamari ,Lightly breaded, fried and tossed in Thai BBQ sauce topped with crispy spinach, Very good and the BBQ sauce was great with some heat. Next we had the Heirloom Caprese ,fresh buffalo mozzarella, vine ripe tomatoes, fresh basil Hawaiian pink sea salt, basil infused olive oil.
Followed by Albondigas ,Nonna's meatballs, fresh buffalo mozzarella, Sunday gravy garnished with fresh chiffonad basil. Also very good.
For entrees, we shared the Argentinian-style Rib-eye , 12-ounce rib-eye, served with chimichurri made tableside, caramelized onions, sautéed porcini mushrooms, & house made truffle compound butter, Good but chewy. Next we had the
Braised Osso Bucco, slow braised osso bucco over creamy parmesan potato gnocchi drizzled with blood orange E.V.O.O. Good and fell off the bone.
Nice wine list.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Terra Monique M.Stuart, FL3247079Apr 1, 2017
We have been 4 times now. The 1st 3 times the food was fantastic, but the service was very slow. The last time our server and service was much better.
There has not been a single dish that wasn't good. The beef tips risotto and badass seabass are the top two dishes I've tried. By now those are the only 2 dishes I have reordered twice now. I keep trying new dishes and keep being pleasantly surprised that everything has been delicious.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
