Superhero Street Fair

Only in San Francisco will you see people dressed up in all sorts of crazy costumes. It's like Halloween all year long in this city. The Superhero Street Fair is no exception to this concept. I have never been to Burning Man but I have heard a ton about it from people who tell me it will change your life - it's like a religious experience. I finally got a taste of the kool aid and boy, it was something else. There were several DJ booths playing all sorts of different dance music, a party bus, giant inflatable "hamster" balls as my friend dubbed it, jousting and of course crazy costumes. Everything from Ganja Girl to a full on robot with speakers to barely clothed whatever they want to call themselves. There weren't just superheroes here.

There were also food trucks and Burning Man apparel. It seemed like people who came back from Burning Man just wanted another excuse to party and reuse their outfits from the Playa.

Now that it's a bit more mainstream I can see more things like this becoming the norm. Not that that's a bad thing. As a Burning Man virgin who doesn't have much interest in sweating out in the dessert while building something beautiful, I admire their ability to bring people together to have fun with no judgment.

I've been to this many times over the years. Good music, creative folks, lots of costuming, all around good run. It hasn't happened for a couple of years not, but if and when it happens again I'll be there! Great local vibe, although clearly quality DJs from everywhere. If you like the San Francisco party vibe, you'll like this.

Its a member of the LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINGARY STREET FAIRS for good reason. Its was well organized. it didn't over promoted. It had enough "blue rooms" each and every clark kent was able to change into superman...and still hit his blunt in record time. That's when the wealthy playboy needed my help. It was true. His underage sidekick had been taken hostage by the supervillian.

He tossed those to me with anger in his eyes.
This street fair is always a joy to attend.
"you are going to untie me aren't you?" the boy pleaded
the music started pumping. I started grinding
"Eventually boy wonder."
"holy tight spots."
He wasn't kidding either.

I heard about the fair from friend and went for first time. Had a great time! Will be attending in future!
