Subway

Wakeeney isn't the smallest town along the drive through Kansas on I-70, but it also isn't the biggest. The offerings at its rest stop echo that sentiment and this Subway was, in my opinion, one of the healthier options on my last drive through the state. It's a pretty basic Subway and it was easy enough to get in and out. I landed on three out of five stars for two reasons, the first is that it's very middle of the road, as in nothing really stands out at this location. Secondly, the restrooms were not usable in their current state. We hypothesized that this may have had to do with some teenage boys also eating at Subway at the time but we couldn't be sure. The rest of the restaurant was clean and felt fine. In all honesty next time I'm driving I'll probably try to make it to a larger town with more choices but this Subway will do if you are in the area.

Extremely rude employee... we walked out without ordering... no wonder the place was empty. The girl with the short curly hair looked so unhappy when she saw us coming... ummmm that is your job to help customers? Otherwise you need to find another job...

I needed to take some medication and have found that taking it on an empty stomach isn't such a great idea. Hubby let me choose where to eat. I love the freshness of Subway's sandwiches. We got there at 9:00 am and were offered breakfast, but we chose to have sandwiches. The ladies working there were very friendly and efficient. I had tuna on wheat and Hubby got their BMT on white. We also requested a Chicken Breast Patty for our Pup and the lady gladly diced it up for us. Even bought some of their Cookies, since they were well stocked with White Macadamia Nut & Lemon Drop :) Was glad to snack on them later that night!!

Really good sandwiches with a lot of options. It's much better than having McDonald's. Only complaint is that sometimes the line gets long.

Good as usual. Friendly service. Not much to choose from in this town, so here's your best bet for something besides grease at McDonald's.
