Salon Studio G

I love what Gretchen did to my hair today. I have never gone even remotely light in my color always brown/black. But she has been using a red/brown on me that I adore and get tones of complaints on. But today I wanted to kick it up a notch and do a rock stare look. I had her do some bleach blonde streaks in my hair and it turned out amazing. Gretchen is a amazing colorist and stylist and has a talent for finding what works for her clients.

I found out about Gretchen through my Aunt and have not looked back! Everytime I visit Gretchen I leave loving my hair so much! She's definitely a hair color magician fixing my hot mess hair and color correcting. Her personality and humor is just the cherry on top!

Gretchen fixed my daughters hair. My daughter loves to try new things with her hair. She gets box home color and she chose a red brown. It was to dark for her skin and red is such a hard color to pull. But gretchen was able to pull the red brown out and bring out her natural color. Gretchen also gave her the cut she wanted. We are so happy with the results. If you want a job done right you need to go to her. My daughter is happy and that makes me happy.

Gretchen at Sudio G is a very talented hairdresser. As a guy, I am pretty much just getting a cut, shampoo and styling but Gretchen nails it every time. I am pretty picky about the people who cut my hair and once I find someone I like, I stick with them for many years. I will be going to Studio G for a long time! Gretchen really takes her time and does the haircut right. Her prices are very fair and she has a great easy to be around personality. And, she is extememly flexible on booking which is important to me. She uses The Square for fast and easy payment and she even sends text reminders for appointments.

She even cuts my son's hair and does a great job!

I found Studio G here on Yelp - by the wonderful ALL 5 star reviews. So I took a chance... (after receiving a very bad haircut from another salon I found on Yelp 4 weeks earlier...)
First of all- she made me feel comfortable immediately!! Sometimes sitting in "that" chair can be a bit intimidating!!! Not with Gretchen. She listened to what I had to say- offered some suggestions- then proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts that I've ever had!!! She took her time with me- I never felt "rushed" like at some salons-My hair looks and feels amazing now- and I look forward to playing with color next!!

I love Gretchen! I have been using her for years, as has my daughter! I've followed her over three office moves and now she is in her best studio yet! Beyond Gretchen's talent as a contemporary stylist with great skill in hair cuts, color and blow outs, the experience is wonderfully calm and quiet. Instead of a loud salon with lots of people chattering and complaining- Studio G is all about you! It's quiet, with just Gretchen, and at most, another stylist with her client on another wall. It is conveniently located in downtown Sherman Oaks with a dedicated, free parking lot in the back. While you are alone with Gretchen, her Studio is part of Regency Salons, which allows you to still get all of your necessary beauty needs Met in one space. There are nail spots, make-up studios, etc. however, each is a private studio, also quiet and personal. It is an outstanding experience for all!

I love Gretchen at Studio G! She's been cutting my hair for years and now also colors it. I have red hair and I find her color matching impeccable. My hair is also thick and can be hard to shape, but again she makes it look great. She really keeps my hair fun and exciting. I also take both of my daughters (11 & 8) to Gretchen. The 11 year old is more cutting edge with her style and Gretchen does a great job cutting her hair to match the look she is going for.

Gretchen is by far one of the most talented hairdressers I've ever come across. She has a true love and passion for what she does. The energy she has created in her suite is so positive and beautiful! I'm truly grateful to have a hairdresser and friends in Gretchen. I know that my color, cut, and extensions will always come out the way I had envisioned.

I could not be happier with Studio G's hair styling for my wedding! She accommodated me under pressure as I scrambled to find a new stylist after having to let my other stylist go. Not only did I love my trial run, Gretchen was pleasant and really listened to what I wanted. I loved my hair and she had everything to do with making me feel gorgeous on my big day. I cannot wait for an opportunity to hire her again.

I am so lucky to have a stylist actually do exactly what I want ( with subtle suggestions; which of course, make my idea a thousand times better!)!.....ahhhh, I just cant say enough good things. This is the first time in MY LIFE that I've left a salon loving my hair. I saw her for the first time right before we went back to school and I got tons of compliments on my color and cut. I've gone back to her a second time and was just as happy. I look forward to checking out Studio G very soon!

Gretchen did a great job making me feel comfortable but also knew the right questions to ask so that we were on the same page about color and cut. To boot, she did a great tutorial on how to blow out my hair to get more volume!
