Attended a conference with breakfast catered by Sterling Affair, and I was really impressed! Specifically, their bagels were fresh and sliced in such a thoughtful way - you can easily open a half bagel face up on your plate without any struggle. The fruit salad was so good, and the veggie cream cheese spread was delicious and had lots of fresh veggies mixed in that you could taste with every bite. The room set up and presentation was beautiful and very functional as well.

Sterling Affair is the best caterer you can hire for any event. Their staff is professional, courteous and will always go the extra mile. Chuck Adams & Sarah Cornine are the best in the business. The food is outstanding! People have been raving to me about the food days after the event. You will not be disappointed if you hire Sterling Affair for your next event!

When it came to our wedding, we knew off the bat that we wanted Sterling Affair to cater it, and called them right away. Sarah Cornine answered and after talking with us sent us a beautiful proposal a few days later. A year later we were completely blown away by their gracious service, seemingly effortless coordination, and fantastic cakes. Thank you Sterling Affair and Sarah for nailing it. The food and service was incredible. The whole affair just gracious.

I think the best part about working with Sterling is that we never doubted we were in the best, most capable hands and that everything would be swell, which allowed us to focus on the joy of the very best day of our lives. Thank you, All!

Oh -- and we did actually talk to another caterer, as one perhaps should, but it really just sent us running back to Sterling in relief.

Sterling achieved beyond our very high expectations. We are speechless at the flavor of all the food, the free flowing libations, the artistry of the pastry and exceptional calm management. Most New Yorkers get many opportunities to eat celebration food from caterers. As Californians we had to ask for a tasting. Sterling won that on quality and delivered on wedding night!

Working with Sterling Affair on our wedding was fantastic. Kim, Juan, and the entire staff were so accommodating to our dietary restrictions with the food, but also at times even acting as surrogate wedding coordinators for all the handling of vendors and contracts they did. All the guests raved about the food, and their baker was incredible - people texted me the next day asking who made the cake because they wanted their own! Sterling definitely threw in surprise perks for us and answered every harried bride and groom email we sent over 8 months of planning. Would definitely recommend them to anyone getting married or hosting an event.

I attended the Columbia Law School reunion on Saturday with my husband at the NY Public Library and Sterling catered the event. We sat on the 3rd floor with his class. The food was okay, but the service was TERRIBLE. The servers would come out with plates of food and another server would come and grab the plates out of their hands and throw it front of us. It was rushed and sloppy. Many at our table were startled when food was put in front of them. A plate would just fly in out of nowhere; they didn't even know someone was behind them or which direction the plate was coming from. It was an accident waiting to happen.

When the plates were being taken away from us, the servers would stack plates 10+ high. It felt like we were in a diner, not a fine dining establishment, and definitely not a black tie affair. We go to a lot of catered dinners and I have never seen anything like this.

Finally, we were asked if we would like coffee with our dessert. After cups were placed, we had to wait another 20 minutes for warm (not hot) coffee to arrive. That's 20 minutes of staring at an empty teacup. The hot water for our friends who asked for tea at our table never made it.

Dinners only saving grace was that the server in charge of our table was very good about refilling our wine glasses.

I found their all-male bar staff at the after party to be equally as sloppy. Dirty cups lined the bar with a trash can just a few feet away- all within the bartenders reach.

Honestly, I may have been more forgiving about the whole experience if I didn't see the plates being yanked from the server's hands. That is what initially caught my eye. If this is a sign of how the management treats their waitstaff, then Sterling is a company to steer clear of.

Please investigate the payroll practices of your north manhattan site ( 216 fort Washington avenue The Amory. The amount of hours never match your paycheck. Week after week hours are not accounted for, and the response is always a vague answer. Please investigate.

Sterling Affair Catering at the New York Academy of Medicine just did an affair for our family. They were generous and kind. They bent over backwards to make sure we were served our favorite food, from Philly Cheesesteaks and soft pretzels and fried chicken and waffles for the kids(and adults) to Burrata and filet. Kim was magnificent every step of the way - trying to make sure everything tasted well and looked great with the theme. The Academy has a great space, a best kept secret in NYC. Hats off to Kim at Sterling and her team at the New York Academy of Medicine.

Having worked with Sterling Affair for numerous charity events and several small private dinners I had the pleasure of them catering my sons wedding at our home this past weekend! I can not say enough about the five star first class service! Chuck and Zhamir made all of our dreams come true. People can not stop contacting us about how delicious the food was. When you have a large event at you home the food and the staff are so important and all expectations were surpassed. I can't wait for our next party!!!

Hosted a dinner party for 45 people at my home. Sterling catered and staffed the event- to say they were amazing would be an understatement. The food was beyond delicious- every guest commented on the amazing flavors, presentation and choices. The wait staff and bartenders were so polite, accomodating and genuinely kind. They are a special group! Lastly, the birthday cake was the most delicious AND beautiful cake I every had. The greatest part of the event- the calmness that the team brought. They are world class professionals who make a hostess's job almost obsolete. I will use them again and will recommend them to everyone!
