Steak ’n Shake

It is true that there is no need for a host or waitress for this place. It is basically a Johnny Rockets with a dif name. It was actually nice to sit down and be served after working all day. So what if it was for a cheeseburger and fries. The waitress was the nicest most efficient person ever. Unsolicited napkins are always the mark of a great server in my book. Why do I have to ask, you know I am inevitably going to need one. So on that note A+.

Food was good. Step up from fast food, tasty and cheap. Steak & Shake - In!!!

food was good, a little greasy. some purple haired lady was walking through the store yelling about teenagers, clearly mistreating staff members. otherwise very clean and friendly

Placed our order at 8:33, got our order after 9:00. The 2 people that ordered after us got theirs before us, finally had to say something and low and behold it had been just sitting on the back counter. Will not eat at a Steak N Shake again.

I had a really rough day, had literally nothing but water all day and I finally have an opportunity to eat and I go here. I ordered and mentioned no pickles plz and she reads back the order saying I want pickles. I say sorry but it's no pickles on any of our burgers. She says it will say pickles on the receipt but she will be absolutely sure to tell the cooks verbally "no pickles" ...

...well we get home and everything has about 4 slices of pickles each. Don't go to this disappointing location. The crew on schedule 10/25/2022 at about 7:15 pm is incompetent to even take an order at fast food. I was literally the only vehicle on an empty night.

After starving all day and working hard, thinking I deserved something great, this was a major disappointment and it will stay with me. It was my last night in an area with a Steak & Shake, and only got halfway through my meal before my stomach got irritated from all the vinegar acid in the pickle juice that stayed on my burger

Sat there for 20 minutes without my server showing up. I was told sorry as I walked out the door to go someplace else.

Milk shake was good, double bacon cheese burger was good with crispy meat. Not a
fan of the shoe string fries though.

Garlic burger was not up to par, a little shake of garlic salt on the bun and no condiments
On the burger. It was real bland.

Onion rings were nice and crispy.

The order that I placed was missing it's Dr Pepper the bag was open and the food was cold. I want a full refund.

Worst experience I've had in 40 years. We went in around 9 p.m. on 9/6/2023 There was a large crowd (24 or more) Teen age girls that were on some sort of HS athletic team seated at one long section of tables. They had just arrived before us. We were seated a few tables away. As we placed our order, they kept getting louder and louder until they were shouting and laughing to the point where we couldn't talk to each other at our table. I gave up hoping they would quiet down before our food arrived, and found our server over where the orders are turned in, and asked at the top of my voice if we could be moved to a large empty section of tables near the back of the restaurant. As best I could tell, by having her repeat herself a couple of times, That it was closed or reserved. We went ahead and ate as fast as we could and as we were leaving I noticed that 3 tables in the closed section had a few customers being served, and the other 5 were empty. I understand that restaurants love having big groups eat there, and maybe the Manager did not want to ask them to be less rude, but not letting regular customers move to a quieter section to be able to have a conversation is unacceptable. Also, the Men's Room was out of soap in both dispensers and paper towels in both dispensers, when we first entered, so it was not because of this group who also had just entered. We met two couples in the entry as we were leaving and warned them about the noise. As I was driving out of the lot, I notice both couples had turned around and were going to their cars after hearing all that noise. We will never eat at that Steak & Shake again, but we will continue to visit the other ones in here in town.

I'm really not sure what the deal with Steak 'n Shake is, but I decided to give them a second chance after a few years of avoiding them. All I wanted was a GD milkshake, but after 20 minutes of sitting in drive through, I pull up to the window and the *lovely* young lady was busy half-yelling at one of her fellow employees about whoever was in the vehicle in front of me. Hood up, back to the window, loud enough to hear through the glass, completely abhorrent behavior. I'd like to say the shake was good, but I'm not paying $5 for a 20 minute old half melted milkshake served by THAT.

I seriously don't have time for your bologna, Steak 'n Shake. Pound rocks.

Stopped by for the first time to try out steak n shake. Ordered 3 single burgers with everything on them. THIS is their idea of a burger with everything on it. A sliver of onion and a slimy wilted green thing which might be week old lettuce they fished out of their garbage can put back. No pride what so ever in their food or customer service

The service was horrible. I went through the drive thru at 10:30 pm and no one came so I called and they said they were closed despite the sign saying the restaurant closes at 11:00.
