Steak ’n Shake

We were wanting steak and shake for the entire ride home from Tennessee and when we got here we discovered it to be boarded up. What a let down. Now we are at the slowest bakers square in the world

Love this place! The hamburgers and frescoes are amazing; And the French fries are shakes are top notch.

The business itself is not bad, but the location in Bourbonnais, IL counts their registers 15-30 minutes before their posted closing time, why would they even leave the restaurant open if they can't take orders or process payments? Not even an apology out of them either.

I haven't been to one in years and today disappointed beyond belief. The place itself was disgusting floor dirty like it hasn't been mopped or swept in months. Everything was sticky greasy and dirty. Wouldn't recommend

French fries were made mostly from rotten potatoes , the service was slightly better but it took three tries to get the food that we actually ordered. It is not a clean place, the women's restroom was horrific trash all over the place the toilets were the filthiest part of the entire experience. Take your money elsewhere, it's a huge disappointment to an already sliding franchise.

Service is slow, and almost every time I've gone they forget part of my order. A side sauce costs an extra 50 cents, but don't expect to actually get it in your to go order.

my husband and I have visited the Steak 'n Shake in Bradley Illinois probably twice in the last month. We had not been there since the beginning of the pandemic. It was not a place that we frequented, because we felt service was poor there. Our most recent experiences have been wonderful! The service was perfect, they were quick efficient and extremely polite! We have also found that restaurant inside to be absolutely immaculate! We appreciate that so much and would highly recommend this place for an inexpensive evening out.

I was really excited to try this place. Looking at the menu it all looked so good and the prices are super reasonable!

Although it was breakfast time, burgers sounded and liked amazing (on the menu).. So we ordered a couple of double cheese burgers and fries.

Burgers came out and boy what a let down. The bun looked old and smashed. The burger looked thrown together and the fries were cold. Boy I wish I ordered that shake instead, cuz it sure looked good! (Although so did the burgers).

As for the establishment, there was ample parking.. The bathrooms were clean.. And the staff was ok.

Not a great first impression to this chain.

If you like long waits, over cooked food, and green mold in your ice than this is the place for you!

This review is not of the food but the restaurant itself . I was appalled on how filthy it was ! I could tell they were understaffed like most places these days so it's probably not the staffs fault but corporate needs to step in and get this restaurant cleaned up. The floors looked like they haven't been swept or mopped in months . All the booths and tables were dirty, the soda machine was gross, etc...The food was good but the filth around me made my food unappealing . I would have taken it to go but I was with my elderly mother and didn't want to pack up everything and leave . Bourbonnais is such a nice little town and to have such a filthy restaurant there is disappointing. I won't be back at this location.

Steak 'N Shake used to be good. Note I said used to be. There was a time you could order a chocolate chip shake and get just that a chocolate chip shake. Now you're going to order a chocolate chip shake and they're calling it a chocolate chip cookie dough shake like you're some 10 year old. I'm not a 10-year-old I'm a grown-up I want just a simple chocolate chip shake but apparently now they don't have chocolate chips. There used to be a time where you ordered a chocolate shake and you could ask for it either with chocolate syrup or without and have it made with real chocolate ice cream those are the best now holidays is shortcuts vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and all you taste is basically a chocolate syrup shake which I personally find gross. Yes she may pay more over at Oberweis but they have it down pat homemade ice cream made the way you want it chocolate shake with chocolate ice cream you got it chocolate chip shake with chocolate chips you got it like I said yeah you pay more but you get what you want and you get the taste that you want Steak 'N Shake you must step it back up because you are sucking bad!
