Came here for my free birthday drink this morning, and I was really impressed with the customer service, they told me happy birthday and even asked how i am doing and everything. Really appreciated that. They were very friendly and nice.

Although it's one of the recent renovated Starbucks in the valley, the crew is unpleasant. I had the manager Justin tell me about spices not allowed to be touched when before those were put out for any customer. Employees don't try to make the shop pleasant by greeting me or bringing over my drink. They don't even smile at all! Tables hardly get wiped and floor is rarely swept or mopped. Also, there always been a lack of Asian employees. So even some racism there. If you want to be appreciated, this is NOT the place.

So. It's Starbucks and this Yelp, and though Starbucks is a chain, this particular location deserves a review. I travel to SLC a few times a month and this is the closest location to my hotel.
To begin, I think the staff here hate their lives. They are never pleasant, cordial, nor any other adjective one might use when describing someone whose job involves customer service.
Secondly, this store has the slowest service I have ever experienced at a Starbucks. I never use the drive thru so this is strictly related to service in the cafe. My drink is brewed coffee with cream. Pour it, add cream. Easy, right? Not here. Unlike most stores who immediately pour your drip coffee, here your order is put in the cue with all the mobile and drive thru orders. I once waited over 10 min for my drink and only received it because I went to the register and was like WTF?
An aside to this is it's 50/50 on whether or not they will have brewed any drip coffee this time of the morning.
Next, to avoid the ridiculous wait times I've encountered I tried mobile ordering so that my drink would be waiting for me when I arrived. Smart, no? NO. Twice I've ordered on the app and arrived to find the store is closed. Not sure when they 'open' but the app won't let you order from a store that is closed. I had to contact customer service to get refunded. Of the times they were open, only once was my drink waiting for me.
The lobby is dirty and old and I wonder if this one will get an update. The drive thru here seems really busy, so I doubt they'll shut it down.
Scrolling through recent reviews I really wonder if corporate realizes how awful this location is.

If you are training someone, please train them not in the AM when people are rushing to work.
Messed up my ordered had to ask them to redo it and did not give me substitute milk. Now i have to deal with an upset stomach at work. I understand if you dont take your job serious but Please take food allergies seriously.

Meh. I go to various Starbucks several times a week- first time at this one.
I order the same thing every time- the impossible breakfast sandwich (which I typically LOVE)
After being in the car line for almost 20 minutes- finally got to the window and got our Order. My sandwich was in pieces in the bag- cheese smeared all over the bag. Gross
I mentioned it to the girl- completely expecting an offer for a fresh, newly made one.... Nope. She says
"Oh yeah for some reason that always happens with that breakfast sandwich". Ummm, yeah no it doesn't- not at any other Starbucks I've ever gotten this Sammy from...But ..,if it does at YOURS- then figure out WHY and fix the problem ffs.
After waiting so long in the line my friend had to use the bathroom inside. Said the place was a total wreck with boxes everywhere and a messy bathroom.

Apparently this Starbucks is always out of everything.

First time here. Lobby is really dirty, tables need bussed and floor needs swept.

I come to the Starbucks every morning. They put a sign out saying they were out of pumpkin, so I was already stuck in the line and could not reverse so I HAD to go through and changed my mind and decided to get a different drink and tried to order at the window. I explained the situation at the window and the lady told me I need to ask her manager if I can order my drink and I said OK yes please ask the manager. Then she came back and me the manager said, I have to go all the way around again to order. I decided I will not be getting a drink or coming back to the Starbucks anymore.

Agree with all the other reviews. This Starbucks is the slowest store I've ever been to. Waited almost 20 minutes in the drive thru line (only 5 cars in front of me - usually takes about ten minutes at other Starbucks). When I got my order, it was wrong! Pass on this one.
