The Star Telegram started losing customers two years ago. I subscribed for TWENTY YEARS. But two years ago, I had to call daily to let the Star Telegram did not arrive. The doors it did arrive it was in somebody's else yard, or bush. I had been paying yearly, and still some boy (not a man) but b oy would come by and to collect my money. Six months into my subscription I canceled with the Star Telegram owing me for one half year
or 75.00 dollar. They never paid me and when I called they promised the check would be in the mail.
I have too blame the Star Telegram, they hired the persons to deliver the paper. If the carrier slept late or just didn't care, it is the Star Telegrams fault. Overpricing and raising rates without notice.
No saturday edition..shrinking coverage.
Lousy customer service. Missed deliveries every week.

I think the news from them is good. However, my dad just died at 84 and we found that he'd paid $140 a month as far back as we can see. Customer service did not care. They wouldn't even give us a free obituary. Elder abuse!!

Fort Worth Star-Telegram is very unprofessional. They have no consideration for people!!!! We have not received the paper in 3 days and I have called for 3 days!!!!
They never let you speak to a supervisor customer service is very unprofessional. Always tell you oh it's taking care of when it's not

Why haven't I gotten my paper in weeks and "customer service" has no idea what's going on or how to fix it??

My previous subscription was scheduled for renewal 08/05/2023. I phoned their office 08/03/2023 with intent to cancel knowing the renewal was astronomically priced. Low and behold, the crooks offered an affordable price of $3.99 monthly but instead the renewal was never place and stole $44.21 out of my bank account. Called to complain and whomever answered placed me on hold and never returned. This is outright stealing. contacting my bank.....

Some industries DESERVE TO FAIL and this paper is leading the charge. Tricked me into buying a 26 week subscription prepaid and when I didn't renew, sent $17 to collections with no explanation or proof that I owe them anything. I still get collections notices, but they go straight in the trash, unread, where they belong, just like the newspaper they publish.
Great job. Find people who still believe in local newspapers and this is how you burn that bridge, over 17 bucks YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO SEE ANYHOW. If this is how you're going to save print journalism then FAIL ALREADY.

this company has RUINED my business with incomplete statements and reporting and should be ashamed of themselves for putting hard working American companies out of business with there incomplete stories and reporting. Facts matter. Thank you Star for ruining my business and my life. I started this business when covid hit and i was let go. Its all i have..

These people are relentless, will not take no for an answer when trying to cancel subscription, most do not understand, just aweful!! Have tried to stop delivery since 7/20/2022, they do not listen nor care, 180.00 refund needed, none in site!!! Very Bad cus service!!!!

I still enjoy reading a paper, but the Star Telegram gets two stars for the way it lures you into a reasonable price and then raises your rate by a huge amount. I'm now paying $24/month for a $4/wk newspaper (granted online access is included.) It's very difficult to actually reach someone when you try to cancel. Often, the "phone is down". The journalism isn't bad, but the subscription business practice is despicable. Cancelling for good.
