Stack's Kitchen

Stacks is the best breakfast and lunch destination in the Waxhaw area. George and Tina have a friendly waitstaff that is experienced and remember returning customers and make them feel valued.
The food is well prepared and attractively presented. Be sure to consider one of their skillets, which blends shredded hash browns , veggies, eggs, and cheese. If possible, though difficult, try to leave room for a slice of their dessert options. The NY Cheesecake is a wonderful choice.

We recently went to Stacks Kitchen for breakfast just to try it out and because we've heard great things about this restaurant. Stacks Kitchen is what you'd expect from a small time restaurant because it does have s small town feel and the people are very nice. The decor and atmosphere is simple, laid back and inviting.

The customer service was wonderful and our waitress was very good from beginning to end. To be honest, she was the highlight of our experience. Now to the food, I ordered the Stacks LumberJack plate but substituted the pancakes for waffles which was a great choice. The reason for the three stars is because the egg whites were under cooked, no flavor, the bacon was overcooked and crispy and the biscuit was bland.

The waffle was delicious, well made and the star of the breakfast. The portion size is good for the price you pay so you are getting your money's worth. Overall, I was disappointed with the food but to each their own and maybe today was just a bad day for the cook. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine.

Stacks is a staple in Waxhaw. They've got the best french toast and fresh-squeezed orange juice in town. Those two items alone are worth repeat visits. We've dined here at least a dozen times and we've never had a bad visit. Casual, friendly, delish. If you're patient enough to wait for available seating, head on over.

Came here on Saturday morning and this place was busy. They still had plenty of parking and the wait time was about 15 minutes. I had the traditional breakfast with turkey sausage, two eggs, hash browns and rye toast. It takes average for me. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with lots of employees. They also had modern country music playing.

This was my second time trying Stacks kitchen. Service was good. I ordered to go. I ordered food for the entire family. The restaurant is popular in the community. I saw many patrons waiting outside and inside for a table. My order was ready within 15-20 minutes, and the young lady hand delivered my food to me. The hash brown wasn't our favorite dish as we felt it lacked seasoning and flavor. The vegetable omelette could also use a little seasoning and flavor. The pancakes were delicious. The scrambled eggs also lacked seasoning and flavor. The french toast (stuffed and unstuffed) were both delicious. If I went back, I think I would stick with pancakes, waffles, and french toast.

Family loves coming here for breakfast. Always busy for a reason. Coke hungry as the portions are larger than expected. Staff has always been good too

Came here while waiting on my car to get fixed at the NTB. Great food and service ALWAYS!!!!

Went to Stacks 3/20/24 for a late breakfast (around 10:30 a.m.) Ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, hash browns and toast. Toast and bacon were yummy. Eggs were lukewarm with cheese sprinkled on top instead of scrambled in with the eggs. Hashbrowns were also lukewarm. Obviously not freshly cooked. Waitress was ok. Spent more time looking at pictures on another waitress's phone than coming back to take our order and bring our check. Not sure what all the hype is about, have been here about three times, will not go again.

Excellent food and excellent service!

Overall I've been twice and highly enjoyed the food here. This recent time in terms of service I was a bit disappointed to find that a 6 person group who sat down after my party of 2 was served faster than us and got their food faster as well. Either way the waffles are great, the portions are great and the orange juice is really fresh. I enjoyed it and would be back...
