Q:
Would a group of 9 be able to find seating together on a Friday night?
A:
There's definitely tables that would accommodate 9 but we went on a Saturday morning and there was plenty of room. No idea what the dinner crowd looks like though.

How busy would it be at around the afternoon (1:30ish) on a Sunday? If two people had two suitcases would it be too much to fit at a table?
A:
It's not crazy busy on Sundays. You should be okay.

Great food and drink offerings! Nice people serving everything
We had a dozen oysters with some Abita Amber and everything was perfect. Really tasty oysters with almost zero brine flavor but big and meaty. I can't remember the vendor now (next to the Bar toward the rear)
Also had some Po'boys from Genevieve's and they were AMAZING. Got a Shrimp and a Hot Sausage.....and the Hot Sausage was a 10/10 one of the best sandwiches out there. Great bread and the sausage flavors mixing with the fat from the cheese and mayo.....oh man. Also had some Crab Balls that were alllll crab and had all the great textures with the fried outer layer
Plenty of spots to sit and chill outHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maia S.New Orleans, LA627016Jan 2, 2024
I love running in to st. Roch for coffee in the morning at cost roast.
Today I ran in and grabbed a biscuit from fried and true... dude it wasn't done! Ewww... it was pretty good until o got a mouthful of dough!
I will have to say any other time I've gone I've gotten good service and food. It's pricey but you get to choose from different types of food in one place! So I say go give it a go it's worth it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 20, 2023
Weird. I'm pretty sure that I've reviewed St Roch Market before but it's not there now. The market has had it's ups and downs since opening in 2015. It's currently under new management. And it shows!
Compared to my trip around MG, my visit last month was a whole new venue! Vendor booths were almost completely filled and there was a good variety of food and drinks offered. My Mom had a falafel wrap and I had a sushirito both were delicious. It was Mom's first trip and she really enjoyed wandering through.
I'm glad to see the Market back on the upswing! And I can't wait to stop by again soon.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 17, 20241 check-in
In a neighborhood full of murals is a food hall. With free onsite parking, St. Roch Market is one open space with a handful of vendors selling coffee, tacos, pho, and more. For lunch, my wife enjoyed the pho and I the laksa (a Malaysian soup). After eating, the staff bus your food for you.

At this point I pretty much live at St. Rock Market. A great food hall with great choices. In one location you can get tacos, seafood, Vietnamese, coffee/tea, fried chicken, burgers, sushi, Italian, and a good cocktail. This is foodie heaven. The service here is always on point. You order and the vendors find you and deliver your food. I typically sit at the bar and devour food from multiple places.

Got to try this creative and relaxed food hall: local vendors, great food, wide choice and relaxed setting. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. And everything is within a beautiful historic spaces.
My muffuletta was perfectly fresh, layered with Italian meats and cheeses. The pho was outstanding. Greek dishes ruled. Don't see how you would regret any choice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 17, 20241 check-in
I'm so happy that we made the mile long walk and found this adorable market place that had 10 or 11 restaurants inside. They have a variety of foods ranging from Greek to Cuban to southern cuisine to Japanese and a full serve bar as well. I tried Turkish Thai tea for the first time, and that was fabulous. There were so many choices that we ate from a few different places. I tried stuffed grape leaves for the first time ever and thought they were delicious. My friend felt that they had a little bit too much lemon, but it was perfect for me. We also tried a Fried chicken biscuit sandwich, that we waited a long time for, and it looked scrumptious, but they were something about the chicken that just wasn't quite right. The biscuit was good, but the absolute star of the show was the loaded bahn mi wontons. I wish I could find them here in Florida. Everything was so delicious about this plate. The meat was tender, the vegetables were pickled perfectly, the wontons were thick and crispy, and then there was a creme on top that just added the right amount of spice. There are so many great options inside this food market that I would definitely go back multiple times to try them all.

Thai food court has something for everyone!
The bar, sandwich spot, coffee and restaurants inside are amazing! We ran in to check it out but also got a coffee and it was amazing!
I can't wait to go back when the other places are open.

Easily the best food I had while visiting New Orleans for the week! This fun, food court style spot had a ton of options to pick from, but I decided to order from Elysian Seafood. I got the crab cake sandwich and it tasted so fresh, so packed with flavor, and sooo good! I'll be daydreaming about that sandwich when I'm back home for sure. Service was friendly and the food was ready quickly.
My coworkers ordered from some of the other vendors in the space, and all were very happy with their meals too. We also got some delicious cocktails from the bar, and enjoying chatting with the bartender as he mixed them up.
If I'm ever back in New Orleans, I'll happily visit St Roch Market again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
