My hub truly knows what I like. Trails, gardens, walking trails in forests and bridges.

We've been to SD many times, because we love many of their little cities, eateries, and beaches, surfing beaches etc.
but we've never been to this suspension bridge.
If you have 10 minutes, a nice little place to stop and walk through is this suspension bridge. Or simply just stand still and admire the beauty and sounds around it.

Also nearby this neighborhood, there is a home with a very unique garden. This house is called Harper's topiary garden created by "Edna scissorhands." It's Pretty unique!

This is a neat little bridge that connects two neighborhoods. I parked at the end of one of the neighborhoods and walked the bridge. The bridge is pretty high up and has a substantial sway to it. It is popular among dog walkers, at least while I was there. It cross over Sessions Canyon and gives you a nice overhead view. The bridge is not very long spanning only 375. It is wider than I though it would be though.

This bridge dates back to1912, and is in great shape. I cannot imagine the maintenance schedule this bridge must be on. This bridge is not for those that have a fear of heights. I will admit that its swaying almost got me and I have no problem with heights. I do have a problem with falling though.

This is a lesser known San Diego attraction and is not a large consumer of your time. I was there about 10 minutes, however, it was still fun and I enjoyed my visit there. I recommend checking it out. It is just a short drive from downtown.

Good experience. My husband was to scared to cross it. My daughters were scared but went across. This was our first time ever going across any type of a suspension bridge. We had a good time, really pretty view.

Located off Spruce St 1st Ave in San Diego. It a suspension bridge in that area. It a nice bridge and it does sway when people are walking across. Overall a nice bridge and well kept up.

My partner is an urban planner/transit advocate. Whenever we go somewhere new, he opens up Google maps and plays around on it looking at street names and neighborhoods. I'm so grateful he does this because we would not have found this local gem otherwise!

The spruce street suspension bridge was recommended to him by Google Maps and it was a big highlight of our adventures in San Diego. We felt like we were let in on a secret by coming to this spot. The bridge is located inside a neighborhood and just connects one side to the other.

You can really feel the swaying of the bridge as you walk on it. It has a nice peek of the city skyline too. You can even catch planes landing into the view. It was high up and not extremely crowded when we went on a Sunday.

My boyfriend definitely wowed me and my friends. I'm really happy we added it to our stop.

I came here years ago when my best friend brought me. I wanted my kids to see this amazing place so brought them.

The views are incredible and it's definitely experience. if you run the bridge does wobble back-and-forth or sway.

We spent about 10 minutes here. I'd always recommend it as I feel like it's a great place and something that everyone should see once. It's beautiful!

      "Will you marry me?"

      "Nature brings centeredness."

"Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans."-John Lennon

"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. -Mother Teresa

These are just a few quotes they emanate from your heart when walking acroos this bridge, rhythmically flowing with the sway and stopping to receive nature and the views.

I love the night walks, typically no people at all, quietly Zen and you can leave your woes or praises with the trees.

Be respectful of the community. Don't let your dogs poop on the bridge and share the space. If it's busy, you may not get the pic you want because others are enjoying life on this bridge as well.

This bridge is a fun, quick stop when in San Diego. When walking across the bridge, you will feel it sway which can be a little scary but it is part of the fun. The views of the canyon from the bridge are also pretty nice! It'll only take you about a minute or so to walk across the bridge so you'll probably only be here for a few minutes in total, however, it is a pretty cool experience despite this and it is free so I think it's still worth the stop. It is located in a residential area and there was plenty of street parking available.

Quick, fun, and photographic spot. Tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood with easy street parking gives you an opportunity to visit and snap some cool pics.

Now here is an unforgettable experience! At 375 feet long and hanging and swaying 70 feet above ground, it is one of the best I've walked on. This footbridge, completed in 1912 and designed by engineer Edwin Capps (I had to mention him as I too am an engineer), was originally conceived as a means for people to traverse the steep canyon and connect to the newly constructed trolley lines on Fourth and Fifth avenues. Easy neighborhood parking.
