Spotlight Dance Parties

Just had my daughters 5th birthday here. It was great! Hilary and Yaya (the owners) were wonderful to work with and very accommodating to the often changing and sometimes interesting requests of a 5 year old.
The girls had a blast learning a dance routine along with getting their hair braided. The feedback I received from the girls was "best day ever"

I don't know what took me so long to review this place, but we threw my daughter's 6th birthday party with Spotlight. They were exceptional. We had a popstar party with 12 girls that included a dance routine and light hair and make-up for the girls. We had pizza and snacks while the girls were getting their hair and make-up done. When the parents came back for pick-up, they got to watch all the girls perform a really fun show.

I also bought a bunch of color hair extensions and clip- ons on Amazon before the party, and the party staff used them for the girls.

They can go to your house or you can use their location in South Redondo at Shine Studio. Shine Studios is gorgeous for an intimate dance-themed birthday party.

My 7 year old daughters (twins) had their birthday party here. It was perfect and they had so much fun! My daughters told me they "loved" it. Yaya and Hillary were responsive and easy to work with making the party planning a breeze. The dance instructor at the party was fun, interactive and great with all the girls. I highly recommend it for a "dance" Birthday party!

We hired Hillary to coordinate our first dance & group dance for our wedding. She made the impossible (for us the left-footed bride & groom), possible and fun. She broke everything down into simple, easy to follow steps that we were able to build upon with each class. Ending result, felt like graceful dancers out of a movie!

For the group dance - half our wedding party was in different parts of the country. Hillary put together an instructional video for us to follow, allowing our wedding party to each practice at home at their convenience. End result - lots of fun, crowd pleaser, and great pictures.

Always encouraging, punctual, and energetic - we highly recommend Hillary for your dancing needs :)

Hillary was FANTASTIC!!! She was so much fun and very professional! We hired her for my western theme grad party and she was able to teach my family a few dances and we had a blast learning! Hillary was on time, fun, enthusiastic, energetic and we can tell she really loves dance:) She got everyone up and moving and made my party a success! I would absolutely recommend her for all types of events! Thank you Hillary, you ROCK!!!

Hillary was awesome to work with! She coordinated a first dance for our recent wedding that everyone loved and we were able to master with three sessions. The choreography was fun but simple enough to not overwhelm us on our big day. So much better than a first dance "sway".

I found Hilary's postcard at Frosted Cupcakes in Hermosa Beach and was instantly intrigued at what she offered. I needed to come up with my twins girls 7th b-day party and was kinda at a loss. She and I together came up with an amazing plan to have a "Pop Star & Princess" party. We had 17 little 7 year old dressing in purple or pink, Hillary brought 2 other girls to help out with hair, makeup, learning their dance routine and organized keeping all the girls busy for 2 and 1/2 hours. At the end the girls performed a music dance video in front of all the parents that was taped and each girl got a DVD of the Video. I couldn't have been more happy with Hillary and the girls had the biggest smiles i've ever seen! WELL DONE SPOTLIGHT! I would absolutely recommend hiring Hillary no matter if you know what you want or not, she is fabulous!

Hillary was a pleasure to work with. I used her services for my daughter's 8th birthday. I did all the planning over the phone, and she was so sweet, and professional at the same time, that I couldn't wait to meet her. She was very accommodating and had great ideas to make my daughter's birthday an absolute hit! On the day of the birthday she, and her assistant Chloe, did a fantastic job. They both were fun, energetic, and very sweet. I had about 50 kids in my house, and they were able to entertain them and do a fantastic job. I highly recommend Hillary to anyone who wants to have a fun and amazing party.

We had a great birthday party for our 11 year old daughter last Saturday. Hillary was one of the key reasons for the success. She was absolutely wonderful, fun loving and professional. We had 16 girls at the party and they had a dance competition. The girls were divided into three groups. Hillary taught them a few moves, and was able to motivate and guide the girls to create and work as a team. Each of the groups selected their song and created their own dance with coaching from Hillary. They had great choreography, performance, and team effort. Hillary even organised the teams to evaluate the performance based on these three factors and came up with the final rankings. Hillary was the one who made this party so enormously successful! In addition, she catered the food working with her partner - a catering company. The girls loved the food! They absolutely had a fantastic time. I would recommend Hillary and her company to anybody who is planning a fun party....
