the lumpia was amazing and so was the adobo pork belly. i also really recommend the mint calamansi! we went around 7:30p on a wednesday, expecting pork rib sinigang but it's apparently very popular, so they ran out from the lunch rush. if that's what you're craving, i would maybe call ahead first to make sure they have what you want. they make it fresh every morning.
they have paid street parking. the parking lot next to it, is meant for a different restaurant. it's also cute inside and the name is silly and cute too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 20241 check-in
My favorite restaurant that I been to this year!
Spoon & Pork does modern Filipino cuisine and every I ordered was outstanding! The star of the show is anything with PORK - after all it's part of the restaurant's name. :)
However, they have other meat dishes besides pork and some vegan/vegetarian options. Recommend to me was the "eggplant ensalada". Definitely a must try and probably I one of the best dishes in general that I ate all year!
Service was so welcoming and attentive. Ambiance is cozy with nice music playing in the background. There is a break between lunch and dinner service (break: 3pm to 5pm), so plan accordingly if you stop by.
-CARD and CREDIT accepted.
-Parking: tiny lot shared with another restaurant; street parking (bring coins/card) busy area on Sunset Blvd.Helpful 18Thanks 7Love this 24Oh no 0 - Randy R.Los Angeles, CA6661952Apr 13, 2024
Very delicious! I wish they had more seafood options but given the name of the place its pretty Pork heavy.
I mostly ordered the Veggie and vegan dishes and all were very good and nicely portioned. Pancit Canton was so yummy and cooked so well and really loved the Tofu Adobe. Garlic rice was not bad.. I think the garlic was too toasty for my taste but i enjoyed it overall.
Brussels sprouts were good too!
I'd go back here for the noodles for sure.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 12, 2024
By all means get the Patita. It's basically a crispy pata with a chili glaze but it's so so flavorful and juicy. The crunch on the skin was amazing and it came out super fast. I don't even know how it came out that fast because crispy pata usually takes like 30 mins lol. Got the lumpia as well which was super crispy and the sisig which had so many different flavors. This sisig definitely had a strong liver taste so if you're not into that I would pass on it. You always gotta get garlic rice with Filipino food too!
We came on a Sunday at around 1PM and there was no wait. Our server was pretty attentive and was helping explain the dishes well also. I would imagine it gets busy at night and since it is a smaller restaurant I would recommend coming for lunch.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2005175Mar 11, 2024
Located in the vibrant Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, Spoon and Pork offers a delightful fusion of traditional Filipino dishes with a modern chef's twist. During our visit, we savored a variety of their specialties, including tapa, lumpia, beef steak, and sisig.
The presentation of each dish was impeccable, reflecting the care and attention to detail put into every aspect of the dining experience. Not only were they visually stunning, but they also arrived promptly, ensuring a seamless meal.
Among the dishes we tried, the tapa, lumpia, and beef steak stood out as exceptional highlights. The tapa was tender and bursting with flavor, while the lumpia boasted a perfect balance of crispiness and savory filling. The beef steak impressed with its succulent meat and rich marinade, leaving a lasting impression.
However, the sisig fell short of expectations, with a slightly bitter and salty taste that detracted from its overall enjoyment. While it may have been attributed to the combination of marinade and chicharon, it was the one dish that didn't quite hit the mark.
Despite this minor setback, Spoon and Pork remains a highly recommended destination for Filipino cuisine enthusiasts. With its innovative take on classic dishes and commitment to quality, it's no surprise that they have garnered a loyal following. With two locations in the Los Angeles area, it's easier than ever to indulge in their culinary delights. Whether you're a Filipino food aficionado or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Spoon and Pork promises to deliver an unforgettable taste of the Philippines.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 4, 20241 check-in
I had been excited to try S&P after reading about it and hearing from my partner how he had a good meal there w co-workers.
We decided to go to S&P for a Sunday night dinner. Since they do not have parking, as expected, trying to find parking along Sunset was a trial. After circling for about 15 to 20 minutes, we finally found a spot a little bit away. We had decided on going somewhere else when we finally found parking.
When we got to the restaurant, they had a good sized outdoor patio (but it was a bit dark) and a small, but decent amount of indoor seating. The ambiance is clean, modern, and inviting. However sitting on their metal chairs did start to hurt towards the end of the meal (seat cushions might help)
Service was good with the friendly staff answering questions, making suggestions, refilling water frequently, and checking in to see when they could clear away plates.
As for the food, we ordered the Brussels sprouts, sisig, chicken inasal, and garlic rice.
The Brussels sprouts were sweet and delicious. The Adobe vinaigrette was so good, we saved the leftover sauce to eat with rice.
The chicken had a great charred flavor and went well with the toyomansi sauce. It was all dark meat, herby, and became the highlight of our dinner. The garlic rice was as expected and paired well with all of the above.
Almost everything was flavorful and delectable except the pork dish. The Sisig was the most disappointing thing I've ever eaten. Sisig is my go to dish at Filipino restaurants and I expect it to be savory and have some crunch to it. The Sisig at Spoon and PORK was completely mushy, salty, and otherwise flavorless. There were some pork rinds on top to offer some crunch but to me, good Sisig itself has some crunch. I cannot begin express how disappointed I was in this dish... but as much as I was dissatisfied with this dish, the same cannot be said about the chicken inasal. If you go to S&P, skip the Sisig and get the chicken. It's great. They should call their restaurant Spoon & Chicken.
I didn't get to try the Lechon or pork belly so maybe on a future visit, I can attest to how good (or not) those are and decide if "Pork" brings in their name or not. ;)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 272277811Feb 24, 20241 check-in
Came here all the way from Toronto to check out this Filipino Michelin guide restaurant. This recommendation also came from my fellow chef friend, and let me tell you... YOU MUST GO. (I'm saying this as a Filipino recommending some good Filipino food).
Food:
- Kare Kare - short ribs in a peanut sauce, with king mushrooms, bok choy, eggplant. Topped with peanut brittle and served with side home made bagaoong (shrimp paste). Kare Kare is my favorite Filipino dish in general, and the chef did an amazing job combining all flavors. With a great peanut brittle topping and texture, I really enjoyed it. Heck, I miss it just talking about it!
- Sisig fried rice - had this on their lunch menu, and it was so flavourful! Sisig is a mix of pork jowl, ears and belly; slow cooked and grilled served with chicharon. Enjoyed it!!
- Laing - coconut braised taro leaves, smoked trout and Thai chilis. Yummy!! A great complimentary dish to share or main dish.
Drinks:
- Red horse!! Filipino strong beer. Hard to find anywhere off the shelves, so I had to reach for it. Try it, for the full experience ;p
Service - 5/5. Friendly, personable, and detailed about menu items.
Parking - there is a parking lot out back of their resto or street parking
5/5 would recommend. Proud Filipino, great representation of our amazing food through Spoon and Pork!! Would come back 100%!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

The food is super good. I loved the Pork Belly Nigiri, The Patita and the Pork Ribs Sinigang are my Faves.
We also order the Chicken Inasal, the chicken is moist and tender. The Ensalada Talong was also good but a little bit small. The Pancit Canton also was very flavorful. The Calamansi Juice is refreshing. The service is good. Our server was very nice and very attentive. The ambiance is okay. It's a little bit small.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 8, 2023
Wow.
From the service to the food, Spoon and Pork deserves every star. Stopped by with a friend for lunch off the strength of the reviews and was so delighted by the experience. We were able to take advantage of the Lunch Plate menu (offered Tues-Fri 12-3 pm) which includes rice and protein and is more fit for a singular person as opposed to their traditional shareable family style menu.
Food: 5/5
- Pork Belly Nigiri ($9) - Comes with 2 pieces. Very delicious!
- Lumpia Shanghai ($9) - Compared to the other dishes, the lumpia was probably my least fave which is saying something because it was objectively delicious. I appreciated that the dish came with 6 pretty healthy sized pieces.
- Tocino ($16) - Definitely recommend because the tocino was so tender! Literally melted in my mouth. This plate comes with garlic rice and as someone that hesitantly loves garlic, I was pleased that the garlic taste wasn't too strong.
Service: 5/5
The servers were kind, attentive and very helpful in answering questions! We never felt forgotten during the course of our meal.
Overall, I can't wait to return!! If you're in Silver Lake, definitely consider stopping by.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 21, 2023
My experience was 3 star but since I'm not a fan of pork and that is their speciality I think 4 stars is fair
The patita is a huge piece of pork, deep fried crispy and yummy sauce on it. But I could not eat the pork. Especially because the inner part of the skin had such a thick layer of fat. I wanted to vomit and could not take another bite.
The pork egg rolls were delicious!!!! I ate the whole basket of those.
Mushroom appetizer is amazing
Pancit noodle dish had a weird flavor to it. Like something had gone bad. We had to mix sauces from other dishes to make it taste better. I've had delicious pancit from hole in the wall places so this was a major disappointment.
If I went back I would definitely get the chicken dishes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2
