Love it. Great size not to big and not to small. Clean and good prizes. Not like most places that every is over priced.

I came here before when it 1st opened and was great. I get that after covid and many years later that is not as great as before which I get.
When we came in Aug there was only 1 set of slides working. The lazy river had 4 total I had seen tubes and the kids area had signs of wear.
My kids so had a great time and for the price you can't really complain vs the other theme parks.
Food here isn't that great and so we made sure to eat before coming. They don't allow outside food but you can bring an empty water bottle. Also sealed bottle water is allowed.
The bathrooms were atrocious. Maybe not enough staff for clean up? I saw good amount of dirty water blown up diapers tossed in the women's bathroom. Makes you wonder what's floating in the water lol.
Despite somethings, you get what you pay for. If you have older kids make sure all the slides are working so they can really enjoy the water park.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 14, 2023
I love this place!! Its the best place to bring kiddos of all ages to have some fun in the water.
The venue is clean, safe - lifeguards are everywhere! As a parent I have every confidence in bringing my kids and family of a range of ages because of how well run the facility is.
I really like that just about all the attractions are visible from a number of vantage points and that there are shaded rest areas and locations for private parties situated throughout the park.
My son thoroughly enjoyed the water slides; my daughter enjoyed the Pirate Ship. We had fun from opening at 10:30 until closing at 5:30.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 59192187Jul 24, 2023
Buccaneer Bay is a great water park to enjoy as a family. There are 2 areas with slides, a total of 6 slides, & a lazy river. There is also a shallow pool for the little kids that includes a mini slide.
Let's talk about the food served on site which is convenient. The food here was mediocre. The large pizza box here is not worth the $27. That is definitely too pricey in my opinion, but I get it, it's a waterpark. This is how they make their money. The size order of fries come in a small cup(water size) & is it not worth $5. The lines were long, but moved pretty quickly. It was about an hour wait. The snack stand line was quicker than the food line. I do advise to eat out elsewhere before coming into the water park. You'll save a lot more money. The prices for food & snacks are basically theme park prices like Disneyland, Knotts, Six Flags & etc.
Overall, it's still a great water park. If you would like to reserve a lounger spot, come early as it does get packed in the afternoon.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Diana G.Long Beach, CA2012710Aug 31, 2023
Been coming here for the last two years. Followed other yelpers tips to save money and time. Packed cooler lunches and ate outside in the parking lot. Ordered food once. Took an hour to get. Food was bland. No healthy options, except an overpriced salad.
The second year attending, I tried to go during the week to avoid the weekend crowds. They now load up the park with summer camp kids during the week. So everyday is packed. Lines are long for everything and kids bump into you left and right everywhere else.
Lastly my kid is a strong swimmer. Because of her height, the lifeguards require her to wear a life jacket.
I will not renew my season pass next year. My daughter has been enjoying the community pool and doesn't want to return Splash.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lahat Q.CA, CA097Aug 31, 2023
I've been here with my autistic son a few times. The last time was for his 4th birthday and I had rented out a private cabana near the wave pool with a great view. We couldn't bring in any goodie bags or outside food. I didn't like the fact at check in and getting the wrist bands they don't escort you to your cabana for accuracy. I walked around for 20-30 mins trying to find my cabana and once I did another party was in my area due to wrong instructions given by staff. The family didn't want to move and the staff member assisting was kinda iffy. One of the managers was very helpful and nice and tried his hardest to make the situation better and have the family move. Aside from those things it was perfect and my family had a ball. You can pack snacks in your car and and go in and out of the park.

Great for families...the food available inside is ok and there are dip n dots ice cream in a bag. Love the Mat Racers and all the big slides. My daughter loves the lazy river current and hanging out in the shallow area. The big pool is also available around noon.

We have passes to Soak City, so we rarely venture out to other water parks. On this particular day, however, we were invited to tag along with some friends, so we decided to give it a try.
Parking is close and simple. So is buying tickets and getting inside. The only downside is that the toddler water area has water raining down from above and one of those emptying bucket things. My daughter HATES getting her face wet. Soak City has areas without this, so I didn't prepare and I forgot her goggles. As a result, I had to buy new ones at the park, and she STILL wouldn't play on the structures.
We ended up spending a great deal of time in the lazy river. Unlike Soak City, she can't touch the floor, so we had to hold her the majority of the time. Once we found a double float ring, she was happy being in that, so this helped. At first we kept dodging the section with the colorful buckets that empty on your head. We would try to slow down and time it, even though the staff kept urging us to keep going. However, by the end, we just sped through and got hit when we got hit, and it was pretty funny.
The padded lounge chairs with umbrellas were reasonably priced, and the food was also decent and not horrendously expensive.
By the end of the day, my daughter FINALLY got onto the structure, and then I couldn't for the life of me get her off. So, I guess getting water on her face wasn't such a big deal after all once the seal was broken, so this is why I bumped up my rating to 4 stars.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 2 - Paola M.Whittier, CA127991Jan 27, 2023
I've been coming to swim lessons here for the past 5 years and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for family-centered swim options. What makes this site different than others is the levels of swimming available to all ages
If you come from a swimming background and you want your kids to follies your path, Splash! Is the ideal choice. My daughter gradually "swam the ladder" of swim levels here and ultimately finished with their pre-competitive swim lessons, which is the perfect class to Segway your child into competitive club team swimming. Well, right there on the same campus is La Mirada Armada swim team, which we transitioned into after finishing with Splash. She now swims competitively against a number of other Southern California club teams. It's been an amazing journey and I Credit Splash for helping with all the transitions.
Advice for parents: bring your own chair and a hat/visor. The concrete benches are not the greatest for your sciatic and the sun can be a bit overbearing in the summer. Also, the water is heated during the winter so kids don't really feel the pain until they get out of the water. Bathrooms are really clean and showers are functional, and luckily the stalls are separated from the showers (which tends to get occupied by the Swim team gals rinsing their hair).
My little ones have also taken classes there. The staff is very attentive and helpful (extra shoutout to Jasmine's friendliness and professional demeanor). I often had the weirdest questions, concerns, or requests and they always went out of their way to help.
Added bonus is the Splash park during the summer. It gets a bit crazy when school/camps visit but on slow days it's quite fun. It's a better option for kids under 10 and little ones.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
