Although I willingly paid the price because I hadn't asked in advance ... I was FLOORED when I was charged $25 to have my 9 year old boy's hair cut. She didn't even wash and dry it! My 16 year old also received a cut at the same time and his was washed and styled by a different person (also $25, which is high ... but he was probably considered an adult)
This Troy mom won't ever be back!

I was able to schedule an appointment the same day I called, waited approximately 30 minutes. The stylist was quiet, rather abrupt, I suggested what I wanted and was told "that won't look good", I really felt as though I was an inconvenience, there's too many other great salons in Troy to ever bother with this place again, I won't be back.

Have been coming here for years now. Had to change stylists a few times due to staffing changes but have now comfortably settled with Alisha. The salon is in an historic house in downtown Troy, which just adds a little extra to the experience. A little drafty at times but comes with the old house territory. A little pricier but you get what you pay for. While very happy with my stylist, one thing holds me back from a 5 star: not always the friendliest front desk staff. Understanding that it can get very busy and chaotic at the desk at times, I would still consistently expect a warm welcome when I arrive and a pleasant voice on the other end when an appointment reminder call is made. I have found myself just expecting (and accepting) that the staff at the front will be unfriendly or even rude. I will say, this last visit was much more pleasant all around (and unfortunately I missed her name to shout her out).

Madonna is the best nail tech I have ever had. Hands down. Her skills are just unparalleled and I drive an entire hour just to have mine done by her! Highly recommend.

Excellent massage! Stacy and Sonia did a great job during our couples massage and were very professional. Ambience was also great, felt like we were at a vacation destination.
