      Terrible experience!!! Never going back! Came to urgent care. Front desk was great. Nurse and Doctor had the worst bed side manners. And was NO HELP! Rude and didn't listen to my concerns! Charged me and told me to go to a general practitioner vs. informing me before the $50 and 2 hours of waiting. My first experience being able to use my ins. And they relieved 0% of my discomfort.

      I've been using this location for a few years. I've seen a few different doctors and truthfully it's hit or miss and a as a cancer patient, that's not always a good thing. I would avoid Javier for gyno, her office doesn't return calls, my last u/s, my endometrial stripe was 12mm post menopausal, and I had bleeding. It's wasn't important to her. I not only found another gyno, but had my biopsy, along w results before her office ever called me. Van Roeyen for a primary is good. She's very kind, takes the time her patients need, and is willing to work with all of your doctors. Unfortunately SWMA has a thing about notifying patients less than 12 hours before there appts that it's been canceled. It then takes another 3 months to see your Dr. After this happened a 2nd time, I needed to advocate for myself, so I'm no longer w them for my primary. The radiology dept check in is located in urgent care, I've never understood that. But the staff are always very kind and professional. I've had both X-rays and u/s performed here. If you need a podiatrist, Hambrecht is amazing. I had another Dr do plantar fasciitis surgery on my right foot. Hambrecht did my left foot. Night and day difference. He's very knowledgeable, made sure I had everything I needed prior to surgery, and he and his staff at both this location and Oakey are always kind. When a phone call is made to his office it's always returned quickly.

      A deep wound put me out of commission for a while, somehow developing into an MRSA infection during the healing process. I'm lucky enough to have Dr. Scott Hambrecht in my corner to keep it from spreading and since it needs to be treated a few times a week, he suggested sending nurses over to my house instead of having me drag my carcass in to their office. The company Southwest Medical uses, with a crew of excellent nurses, is called Home Health Services and they've been great so far...other than not following my initial instructions. I had specified for them to send over a 22 year old in a miniskirt, but it turns out they did even better by assigning me nurses with impressive medical knowledge and sanitizing skills. Two standouts, Rosemary and Bridget, have been ultra-pleasant, attentive, and always punctual. Respectful too. I typically leave an ounce or so of weed and a hundred dollar bill laying on the counter in plain sight, just to see if various workers or contractors are honest. Nothing ever disappears when Home Health Services visits. Except maybe your illness. I recommend getting old and having them come by your house to nurture you back to health. And for any podiatry needs, Dr. Hambrecht is a nice guy who actually listens to the patient and then gives sound medical advice.

      Why, for the love of god, do they have radiology patients checking in with quick care where everyone is sick. Oh the guy in front of you is sick And you're not, let's put you two together.. makes absolutely zero sense!

      I saw Dr Buena . He was very professional great and very thorough and Elease his Medical assistant was friendly, kind and caring.
      Also i want to acknowledge Silva front desk she was fast and friendly. Overall it was Great service front and back Thank you to all that work here. Great patient care!!

      The reception and medical team were great! Great service in a timely manner. The doctor I met with had a great attitude and was very professional. Though it was close to closing time, the doctor and staff all took the time to make sure my questions were answered.

      Didn't have any issues or problems or anything at all. Everything went smoothly from the staff to the doctor. So yes! I would say I RECOMMEND SOUTHWEST MEDICAL 100%.

      My 55 year old mother has early signs of cancer. She at first had an ultrasound and it was 5 mm. They recently did another one and it's 10 mm. Her ultrasounds were not done by Dr Sarah Javier. However she had complications with her original doctor which lead the doctors boss being involved. Please explain why Dr Sarah Javier denied my mother service for no reason when she showed on time for her appointment. Dr Sarah Javier assistant at the front desk was apparently speaking for Dr Sarah (making her do all the dirty work) and said that it was because my mother "needed to go to her original doctor". My poor mother broke down into tears in this woman's office. Her original doctor cannot see her for 40 days, this is CANCER this cannot wait. Dr Sarah deserves all 3- stars you're clinic has and I'm so sorry her career has made her lack human empathy

      Dr. Ian Ferro is a wonderful physician. I brought our granddaughter in because she had a runny nose and wasn't eating much. He is great with kids and patient with a concerned Grandma. He explained everything and prescribed needed meds. She's doing much better and I wanted to review him and say thanks for a great experience.

      I called to schedule an appointment because I couldn't get the medical clearance I needed to return to work from the local urgent care office. Appointment scheduled for 3 months later. Fast forward to 3 months later, I called to schedule an appointment for another family member on my medical insurance. Laney, if that's her correct name, said she could help. Laney asked me to hold on. I said okay. Next thing, I hear is a dial tone after waiting on hold for 15 minutes to speak to someone. I cancelled my appointment. I wouldn't recommend this office to someone I disliked. Go find somewhere. I can NOT recommend this office when the staff treats patients like trash.

      I have been compelled by my insurance provider to have certain imaging tests performed at Southwest Medical. Because it's close to home, I have chosen the N Grand Montecito location.

      The radiology technicians have been professional and respectful. The person who performed my check in on August 15 was polite and respectful.

      However, today (8/18/22) I arrived at 8:00 AM to pick up the report from my most recent visit.

      Two of the check in desks were occupied by staff and both were working with patients. There was no one else in the waiting area. Since there are no indications where to stand in line, if a line were to form, I sat down. Two people walked in while I was sitting. Both staff members were still occupied.

      A third staff person opened another window and addressed a person who came in AFTER I did. She saw me sitting in the chair, and rather than ask me if I was waiting to be seen, she called the other person to her window.

      One of the other staff members completed her check in, and called out "may I help you", not seeming to address anyone in particular. I stood and approached her window. She told me she was talking to the person who was standing. She asked me if I was in line, and I responded that I was. She asked if I was sitting. I said I had been. She said to me "then you weren't in line." I told her that I had arrived before either of the two people who were now being helped. I had already told her I wanted to check on the availability of a report for a test I had had done on the 15th. She looked over my shoulder and called the woman who was standing to come to her window. That woman, waved to her to give up her place in "line".

      The staff member motioned for me to sit and asked for my driver's license. I gave it to her and repeated which test I wanted the report for. She asked me a third time which test I was looking for and the date. Then she told me it wouldn't be available for two weeks. I told her I didn't agree that it should take two weeks. She said "well it does". I retrieved my license, stood up and left.

      This is the second time I've dealt with this person. Both times she has been rude and disrespectful. Her name is Mariah.

      If management expects people to stand in line, they need to put some sort of line management system in place. There are three windows with images of feet on the floor outside the windows. There is no indication where a patient should wait to be checked in according to the order they arrive. There is no system to address people who arrive in a wheelchair, on crutches or using a walker. They are expected to stand. This is unacceptable, and Mariah's attitude toward customer/patient service is unacceptable.

      As soon as I am able to change my current insurance, I will never see another provider at Southwest Medical, and the reason is 100% because of Mariah.
