The dining options in SSP, WSP and Inver Grove are dominated by fast food. It gets boring to make the same choices day after day in an attempt to meet your fruit and vegetable quota. My husband and I discovered we could purchase a social membership at Southview Country Club for a reasonable fee, and dine there for the same price as sit-down chain restaurants but with better, more creative menus.

Not only is the food exceptional, but the dining room is quiet...dare I say, soothing. During the warmer months, eating on the patio is like being at a resort. The attentive and friendly staff reinforce that feeling.

The menu changes seasonally, but I'm consistently impressed with the quality and selection of food. Not only that, but the chef doesn't shy away from using spices and adding a little heat where appropriate. Asian and Mexican-influenced dishes make for lunches that are about the same cost as Chipotle, and instead of standing in line and listening to music bounce off the concrete floor and metal walls, you're being doted on in a well-appointed dining room. There's a full bar that gets the busiest with golfers in the summer.

I'll be very sad when they're closed from the New Year into March, but I'll be first in line when they reopen for spring season.

Our wedding reception will be hosted here in August and they have been wonderful and are arranging a lot of the behind the scenes deliveries and what not without any extra charges. Very gorgeous space!
