Unfortunately we have had to call SLTS many times in the past 5 years. We have more trees still, so we have them busy for a long time!!

I can't say enough how terrific this company is! Professional, kind, VERY responsive & cares about the safety of your family & home. They are fair in pricing & talk with you, not at you.

Lee Smith is the owner. He & his crew have been together for YEARS. They come in, assess the situation, talk through the game plan & get to work quickly & efficiently (check out the crazy wood chipper). The team works together- never seen anything like it. They also clean up behind themselves. If it wasn't for the big stump sticking out I would have never known they were at the house.

Lee manages the paperwork, insurance claims & schedules. Communication is everything! No dumb questions & he is so nice and genuinely real to each & every client!!

I have sent numerous clients his way & every one came back with, "Lee is the best, I will use them again." This speaks volumes.

So, as I wait for my claim to be accepted I thought I would take a moment & preach the great word about Southland Tree Service!!!!

Absolutely horrible experience! Paid them to cut down, chop tree and remove. They cut down little huge myrtle trees and left them WHOLE in my backyard causing a huge water backup and lots of additional damage that I had to subsequently pay for! They wouldn't return calls or solve the problem!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! You will lose THOUSANDS of DOLLARS!!!!!

First impressions are everything! Very rude on the phone and clearly not willing to help me at all! I asked about services and what they offer in the area and the man on the phone said he doesn't need my business and hung up me.

I hired Southland again for the removal of hazardous trees in my backyard, and I am so glad I did. Lee came out and gave me a fair and reasonable quote, as well as came the day of service to check in. I was very nervous about one of the trees near the house, but he assured me it was no trouble--and it wasn't. The day of service, a gentleman named Carl led an outstanding team and they did a fantastic job. They showed up early, worked extremely hard, left the areas clean, and were very professional. If I could give them more than five stars, I would.

I had a large red oak tree hovering over my house, which caused me great concern. I googled tree service companies within my area, and found Southland Tree Service. I called the number and spoke with the owner Mr. Lee Smith, requesting an estimate. A few hours later, Mr. Smith arrived at my home, assessed the tree, and provided me with a very reasonable quote which included a 20% discount for mentioning the website. My initial conversation with Mr. Smith was on Friday, and on Tuesday of the following week, the tree was removed. The workers were very professional, and I'm completely satisfied with the job that was done. Mr. Smith even stopped by to check on his crew to ensure that the job was being done well. Everything was hauled away and they cleaned up very well. I would definitely use this service for any future needs, and highly recommend them to anyone in need of tree removal.

Poor customer service from Lee. The guys who removed our tree did an alright job. They hit the fence a bit however. Wouldn't have been a big thing except Lee, who seems to own this business, was incredibly unhelpful in resolving that issue. I didn't even want much off the bill--just the decency for him to deal with the problem professionally and courteously. Definitely won't ever use this service again. Hi down where else.

I had several trees removed from my backyard. They were very nice and I was very surprised how they cleaned up so well, I can not say enough how professional they are.
Looked like the trees were never there.

This company is by far the best company I have ever dealt with. We just had a tree removed that hit our house. Lee had his staff here within about an hour and had the tree off and cleaned up in under 3 hrs. Also, coordinated getting a restoration company here to get the area dried up. Made this situation better by far.

Best service ever! When I realized that the storm had taken one of our trees down, I was worried how long it would take to be removed and what additional damage would be done from waiting. However, from my first conversation with Lee to the time the trees were removed was only about an hour. It was the fastest, most professional service we've had completed in awhile. We are asking them back for additional tree removals because we were so pleased. Thanks a ton, Southland Tree Service!!
