Sol Sweat

My kids booked me and my wife at Sol Sweat for father's day, and what a pleasant experience it was! The pretty young lady at the front desk was very pleasant, and explained to us how everything works.

What they have is an infrared sauna - which unlike regular saunas, heats your body instead of the air around you. This means that you get to sweat without the intense heat. The heat feels like hanging out on the beach in Mexico, under a cabana.

At first I was like, this sauna is not hot enough. But after 15 minutes, I was sweating beads!

They have multiple saunas, so its easy to book (by phone or online). You can book for 1 person, or 2 people per sauna. Each sauna is inside a private room, so you can use the sauna in your birthday suit if you like. They also have a water dispenser inside so you can hydrate.

My wife and I felt great after sweating a ton. Definitely very addictive.

Tip:
Don't be deterred by the building's simple appearance outside, it's actually quite nice inside. Also, they also have Groupons so check them out before you book.

I love Sol Sweat! It's infrared heat makes my skin softer and relaxes my muscles. The staff are friendly, must schedule by appt only. 40 minute sessions very peaceful experience.

I absolutely loved my detox week at Sol Sweat. I wish I could detox every week after the experience! The owner, Stacy was there every day greeting clients and sharing info about the saunas. She walked me through the setup on my first day and explained all of the settings thoroughly. She was so welcoming and friendly, which is a great experience for a newcomer.
The saunas are three seaters, but I went to each session on my own so that I had more room to spread out. There is always zen music playing which helps to enhance the relaxation.
I have already booked another week of appointments and can't wait to come back!

I love sol sweat! I love it so much I drive about 40 minutes from IL to get to it. I've had probably 8-10 sessions since August. I just purchased a 3 month membership. It's clean, efficient & the staff are wonderful. The bathroom is always clean. The saunas are sleek And stylish as are the rooms. They are conscientious to ask if you need to go to the restroom before you go to your sauna room. I personally find a lot of health benefits to using the FIR sauna. It helps me to detoxify & it most definitely helps decrease inflammation. There are water coolers in the rooms with cups. A eucalyptus scented cool towel awaits you in the suite for refreshening. There is a small touch screen in each sauna so that you can listen to whatever music you'd like. I can't think of 1 thing sol sweat is lacking in. If you forget a hair elastic they also have them. I went here with my boyfriend one weekend and the experience was exactly what you would expect. Don't be turned off by the outside looking building, the actual sauna is pretty nice and high tech. It's very private so go in your bathing suit or no clothes if you wish.
However I don't think saunas are for me, maybe because I'm in a constant state of dehydration and never sweat, but the little room is slightly claustrophobic and it takes a while to start sweating because it's using lights instead of steam. It was more of a dry Arizona heat vs. the traditional sauna.
You can change the music but the screen inside to do that freaks out if you press it too much.
You can also change the lighting inside but the remote was a little beat up.
Afterwards though there are eucalyptus towels that you can use to cool off (DON'T put it in your eyes, oh god) and you get time to properly change.
You feel great after, but I didn't really notice any big difference afterwards.

Everyone needs to try this place!! I always leave feeling so relaxed and refreshed. It's the best Sweat you'll ever experience! Super great customer service, as well. I drive 45 min to come here because it's so great.

So relaxing! I chose the detox session and my skin was absolutely glowing after. Cannot wait to go again and see the long term benefits.

What a great experience I had today at Sol Sweat! The location is ideal & the renovations to the space are great. Bright, cheery, welcoming from the moment you walk in. The owner, Stacy, was very knowledgeable about the infrared sauna experience. She helped me make my selection - I chose the anti aging session for 40 minutes. It was wonderfully relaxing & very different than a traditional sauna. The sauna units are top notch - even equipped with Internet/music if you choose. I chose to lay back & relax. At 124 degrees - it felt wonderful. When done, I wasn't sweaty at all but had this wonderful glow! I will be back to try the other options available. Great experience.

This is so relaxing!! And so good for you! I would suggest doing a Sol Mate session! You can enjoy your sweat session with the one you love or a friend! Very cool lights and a touch screen to watch Netflix or chill out on it's some tunes! We are regulars!

This sauna is wonderful! Very warm, welcoming environment as soon as you walk in. The decor and music were calming, and the infrared saunas themselves were state-of-the-art. The best I've ever used! Mike was very friendly and was happy to show me how to use the many features of these saunas. Each one is in a private treatment room. Loved the eucalyptus-scented towel to use during my session- so refreshing! Only thing I would change is that you can sometimes hear outside traffic noise. Not their fault; I'm just sensitive to environmental sounds (especially when I'm relaxing). Nothing some music or your headphones can't cover-up. Can't wait for my next session! :)
