Fantastic Atmosphere, server was friendly and knowledgeable! Music is upbeat and at a comfortable level.. Ordered the Spicy Chicken and pilaf, WOW! Excellent flavors and cooked to perfection! PS it WAS definitely spicey, just right! My dad had the lunch special, Bbq pulled pork sandwhich and fries! He loved it, I was impressed how everything was plated, both meals looked like they came out of a magazine shoot! We will most definitely be back!!

Update: Well, I'm sad to say this will be my last visit. This dish of food cost me $20! That is utterly ridiculous! I've enjoyed this place because the food is really good and I wanted to support a local place in Sanger since food options are pathetic there. Place was dead at 6pm which is telling of the prices. Sorry guys, good luck!

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint!! I can't wait to go back. I had the fattoush salad with spicy chicken my mom had the greek salad and we shared the spicy fries. The fries were to die for! I'm not sure what makes their spicy sauce but it's amazing.
The staff was very nice.
The only suggestion I would make is that since they are not making soups right now to take it off the menu. My mom was very disappointed she couldn't order it after seeing it on the menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Lydia A.Fresno, CA052Apr 23, 2016
I really wanted to love this place because it is close to home and serves Mediterranean food. We went for dinner and the prices seemed very high, but I was optimistic that it was going to be delicious.
Be aware that they have taken the Mexican food off the menu and only serve Mediterranean food and I'm not sure if they serve breakfast any more either.
We ordered the spicy fries as an appetizer based on the suggestion of other yelpers and they lived up to the hype! They were so flavorful and spicy that you can't stop eating them, but I felt that their price was high for the small portion that we got. For our meals, I chose the combo kebab plate with fattoush salad and my husband ordered the spicy chicken and added a fattoush salad. The salad was good, and came out quickly. My husband enjoyed his spicy chicken sandwich but it was only half a sandwich. Had we not ordered the spicy fries he would not have been full. The veggies and rice from my combo plate were cooked perfectly, unfortunately the chicken was so overcooked that I couldn't eat it. The beef and Lula kebabs were ok and the garlic sauce on top of them made up for the chicken.
The service was excellent and we had a very attentive waitress. I am only giving a 3 star review because of the overcooked chicken but we will go back again to give them another chance at cooking the kebab combo plate correctly. And we will order the spicy fries again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - D L.Sanger, CA026May 5, 2016
So we finally got to try this place out and I like that it's here in my home town. I was reading all of the reviews and yup everyone is right about the pricing, if only it were $1 cheaper for example $10.25 for a burger w/ bacon and a lil bit of fries(see picture)..... It was ok but I have had better burgers........honesty is what Yelp is for right.....the place is clean and the waitresses are nice.....
I'm a look out the window type guy when I eat and they covered the windows with the store hours/specials (using that Christmas paint stuff)
My girl and lil boy liked the food so that means will be coming back......... I gave it a four star cause of the prices........total price for all 3 plates was $34Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Meilene L.San Francisco Bay Area, CA2074022Sep 24, 2015
Delicious little gem! Go now! This food is 5 star in little town Sanger. I was working on assignment in Sanger and was looking for a good place to stop for dinner. I am so glad I found Sofia's.
The location is low key, nothing fancy. Inside was very clean and spacious from tables to booths.
The menu is huge- with so many varieties of food.
Salads, Mexican, burgers, mediterranean, etc. I looked the menu for 10 minutes trying to decide what sounded the best but to be honest it sounded good.
I ended up getting an order of the Chicken Fattoush Salad and Spicy Fries to-go. I could barely wait to eat it on the way to my place. It smelt amazing.
The food was amazing, everything from the different spices to the presentation of it. I am so jealous I do not have anything this good where I live. I will definitely be back on my way out of town.
It's really like fine cuisine that you wouldn't expect in little old Sanger/Parlier.
Go now!
**The only suggestion I have for the OWNER is- please bag the Fattoush Salad in a plastic container! It leaked through the styrofoam on the way home all over my car.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Julie B.Clovis, CA77227268Oct 16, 2017
Food was tasty, portions quite lacking, price too high. Maybe I'm too spoiled by House of Kebob and the Phoenician in Fresno. I'm vegetarian and ordered for myself babaganoush, hummus, and fatoush salad which were each $8.99 for a total of $27. There was hardly any hummus or babaganoush in the very shallow ramekin. Additionally, the hummus tasted like it was store bought, not made in the restaurant. My husband ordered the beef bowl and it was only $10.99 which was plenty of food for him. My mother in law ordered the lulu lavash and the meat was in the form of a very, very thin patty. Mediterranean food is typically on the pricier side, but you usually get a decent amount of food. Not here. It is probably one of the better restaurants in Sanger. Im sure this is why they are able to charge the prices they do at this restaurant.

Sofia's is a friendly, comfortable place to relax with friends and family and experience varied cuisines in one place. First of all the owners and staff are friendly and serve like they really care about your experience.
The Mediterranean is very good, especially the lamb kebabs. Sanger has been waiting long for this! The Mexican is very good, as it must in this small town with ubiquitous excellent Mexican eateries. I have not tried the American selections yet, as the Mediterranean is such a novelty.
For a small Central Valley town, Sofia's fills a gap by its great value, family friendliness, and Middle Eastern selections.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S P.Palm Springs, CA241153Jul 11, 2017
Are you kidding me? You are in for a life changing experience if you haven't tried Sofia's yet. From the amazing food to the amazing customer service this place rises above the usual dining experience! I have just about everything on he menu and I have never been disappointed. My personal fav is their spicy chicken
I also love their wings, the sauces taste so good and fresh. It's also cool they are always adding items so it's fun to experiment.
So perfect! And their customer service is like eating with family (if your family was like really professional, good at their jobs, and just cool, nice people). Seriously, they have memorized my family's entire order so when we come in they just ask if we are having the usual! You have to give it a chance you won't be disappointed!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
