Walk right by. Don't waste your time, your money, your energy, or risk the aftermath of eating here later ( if you know what I mean) I had a bacon cheese burger. The burger you can tell was a frozen patty. It tasted freezer burned. On my patty there was ONE whole piece of bacon broken in half and placed on my burger. You won't be satisfied eating here. You'll leave feeling like you need to go have lunch again. So, do yourself the favor and just go to a better place with better reviews. This place needs a major overhaul. For Katie. R leaving me feed back. That was supposed to be rye bread on the order the person who was with me. This was DEFINITELY the place I went to after checking the address on the receipt, and google for images of the location. It's the same exact establishment. Thank you for your time. Drive through.

Broken in half bacon and a really sad burger.

The Soda Shoppe of Franklin (formerly Favorites & Week's) is the epitome of a typical New England family restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Franklin Soda Shoppe is pretty spacious which has two dining rooms with ample table seating and seating at the long lunch counter.

The menu offerings are similar to Blake's (a slight step up here) including the standard breakfast fare, sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, grilled items, and American style comfort dishes. The dessert menu is dominated by ice cream and cold treats, along with pies, brownies, and strawberry shortcake. Daily Specials are offered and the prices are pretty fair, most dishes priced under $10 (seafood dishes ($13-$19)).

I stopped in here for dinner very recently. I started out with an ice water and a Root Beer Float ($2.99) with a half scoop of Coffee Fudge Almond Low Fat Yogurt on the rim. The float was okay (mostly root beer) and could've used some more ice cream (a half scoop more). Next, the bowl of Seafood Chowder ($3.99) served with oyster crackers, was pretty good, which had a creamy broth (not too thick) with good amounts of fish, shrimp, potatoes, and seasonings.

For dinner, I went with the Texas Country Fried Steak ($6.99) served with mashed potatoes & gravy with vegetable (cole slaw) and fried bread. The breaded cube steak was on the chewy side, but decent tasting. The mashed potatoes were good with a dense texture. The minced cole slaw was sweet. The fried bread I really liked, which were biscuit dough balls deep fried brown and served with butter. The fried bread had a nice soft texture, hot inside.

The service was efficient on this visit with timely delivery of the food and drinks. The place was not that busy on a typical weeknight.

Overall: A good place to get a good homecooked meal at a good price. (3.2 stars)

After waiting in line for what seemed like forever to only progress a few steps, at the local soft serve just up the road in Tilton; my dad and I decided to go over to the Soda Shop in Franklin... less than 1/2 mile up the road. We got in to sit in a nicely air conditioned restaurant - no waiting.

The staff was friendly and fast, got us a large glass of ice water while we looked over the flavors and options.

My dad ordered an old fashioned vanilla frappe (that's a real milkshake with ice cream; whipped thick and rich). I had a "small" maple walnut sundae without any toppings (I'm on a diet! ;-0 ).

With taxes, the bill was less than $7.00 bucks!

Did I mention that the Soda Shop also has breakfast lunch and dinner menus too.

If wheelchair access was a little better (no automatic door, there) they would've gotten 5 stars.

I was early to an appointment and they were the only breakfast place open on Columbus Day morning. Everyone was super nice, food and tea were yummy, and they were even sweet enough to put on the Price is Right for me! Being on the road a lot, this atmosphere was very comfortable and I felt very at home.

This restaurant has come a long way recently. When it first became a soda shoppe a couple years back it was a little scary, bad food bad service. But now, it's like a whole new place. My guess is they have new people in the kitchen?

I reluctantly went here two months ago with my girlfriend because she is new to the area and really wanted to check it out. I ordered a BLT and she ordered a big breakfast platter with the works. We were both blown away. My BLT was sooooo good. I know that this isn't a particularly challenging thing to make, but this BLT was in a whole new realm from any other I had ever tasted. Just simply delicious. My girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed her pancakes an eggs an bacon as well.

The service was also improved, the ladies are funny and quick to please. Ultimately a fun place to grab a bite, we have been back twice since and still loved it.

The price is nice, a little bit higher than average for this type of restaurant but then again the food is a little bit better than other places like this around here.

This place was awesome !! I'm from hawaii and this place don't skimp on the food. I had the chef choice omllet and it was winnahz. The waitress was so sweet and nice that as we ordered takeout we left a tip. I would definately recommend this place who ever stops by.

Stopped in hoping for a decent breakfast. Took almost 45 minutes for a minimal breakfast with not many people being served and the order was wrong. No explanation for why the kitchen was slow. Wouldn't recommend this place.

So I went for breakfast here this morning. The wait staff were excellent. Awesome mood, super nice! Thank you!. The food was about 90% spot on. I order 3 eggs oe with toast and a side of bacon. With homefries fried. The flavor of the fried homefries were lacking fortunately there was salt and pepper at the counter. The bacon was cool could've been heated up a little more. Btw I ate everything on my plate it was delicious. The wait staff made up for it though. I will be going back again. Good job folks I liked it! If I could rate 4.5 stars I would.
