It is rare that one finds the consistent, high quality, and reliable services and food that I have found provided by Chef Victoria. I have been working for 34 years and no one has ever come close to what she delivers at her "day job" here at Petco HQ. Her menu is creative, her food absolutely delicious with great variety.

Her daily courses, provided with a smile and care, is one of the top reasons I come here to work. What's more, this sentiment is shared by others. Thank you Victoria!

I hired Chef Victoria East to cater a party for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary in December 2013. The party was at their home for 40 guests, and we served several choices of heavy hors d'oeuvres.

Instead of a tasting, Chef East suggested that I attend a class she taught at Great News Cooking School. This sealed the deal--meeting her in person, seeing her interact with her assistants and our class, and getting to try some of her delicious recipes made it an easy decision to select her over other caterers.

During the planning stage, Chef East helped me choose a menu that matched our tastes, was within my budget, and met my needs for the party. She was always easy to reach by telephone and email.

On the day of the party, she delivered on time and was very organized. The food was exceptionally delicious, beautiful, and a very good value! Our guests were impressed and full, and my parents were thrilled with the results. Chef East helped us have a very special celebration.

I work for an investment management firm and we needed to find a caterer for a retirement party for our Chief Operating Officer of 27 years, and man were we lucky to find SoCal Chef!! One of our employees had been to a dinner party in San Diego worked by Victoria, and recommended we reach out to her. Even though SoCal Chef is stationed down in San Diego, they drove all the way up to Palos Verdes to put on our event with no qualms at all. I have never worked with someone so accommodating- not only did she immediately present a complete menu for us upon inquiry, she bought the food, the booze, even took care of the party rentals! I let her know what we wanted aesthetically for items like the flatware/glassware/linens, but all the other little things you may forget about (serving spoons, ice bucket+scoop, pitchers, etc) she took care of. She was involved in every aspect of the planning process, which made everything so much smoother, as there were never any communication gaps.
Boy, did it pay off b/c she did a fantastic job. The food was beautifully & creatively presented, and tasted phenomenal. I have experience with several different caterers and many have had pretty good food but the presentation was terrible. But Victoria's got the whole package. Taste AND presentation. She and her staff also took the initiative and cleaned up at every turn, so there was never trash sitting around, which kept everything so lovely. She was so pleasant and easy to work with, and we had several people at the party ask for her details. I look forward to working with her again! Hopefully at her cooking classes!

I have worked with SoCal Chef for private parties and my work events. Chef East takes the time to learn what your needs are, the needs of your guests and arranges a variety of options to fit your tastes and budget.

She has also created fantastic personal menus for clients that are creative and helpful for the busy working mom's on the go!
