SoBe Pole Dance Studio

I would definitely recommend this place for a party. We were able to request a specific instructor, Iyana, and she was great! She was very mindful of the time we had for the class and made sure that we were maximizing our lesson. My only complaint would be with the facility. We arrived early like agreed but upon arrival we saw that we need a code to get in the building which we were unaware of... so if Iyana was teaching another class we wouldn't have been able to get in the building (which is what happened to the class immediately after ours). The pictures online does not do it justice. It was very spacious and aesthetically appealing.

While booking, there was a bit of confusion due to several individuals responding to my emails and not communicating with each other (I'd have one person email and another call, just to figure out my dates to rsvp) Other than that, SoBe's pole dance was awesome.

When we arrived, we were wasted. And way to loud. I'm sure of it. But the front desk receptionist was still nice and joined in our conversation as we waited. Once inside, the instructor was also sweet, congratulated my sister on her marriage and tolerated our sloppiness.

I'm sure they deal with a bunch of drunk bridal parties all the time, but she taught us a routine with patience, captured the moment on our phones and let us dance to #BBHM by Rihanna without restrictions. The next day, we realized we didn't spend an entire hour with her as I paid for, but it didn't matter b/c we got 100% of an enjoyable time and workout (still sore 3 days later!)

Ladies, please book your class somewhere else !!! This place is so unprofessional! First you think you're booking the south beach location but be careful they won't tell you until you pay that their studio is actually in downtown Miami. She didn't inform me of the change and when I called her she said that the sobe location was under renovation. Our experience was horrible, I booked the bachelorette warmup package and paid in advance. They tell you to be 15 mins early but the instructor was more then 30mins late. If you call the number that's posted its to another lady on the phone who doesn't know what's going on. She barely answered the phone when I called to ask when the instructor was arriving. They offer no solution or were they truly apologetic about this mishap. Seriously, this place is beyond unprofessional. They uphold no customer service standards what so ever!! I'm not the type to rant about a bad experience on Yelp, but I truly don't want anyone to experience what we had to go through! Please don't book at this place!!!

Once the dancer instructor arrived ...they offered another bottle of champagne as a gesture. The class was fine but not worth the hassle of dealing with these unprofessional people. By the way, dont expect to get everything they promised. They left out the studio tank tops that we were all suppose to get, the decorations offered were tacky and cheesy, the champagne "glasses" were actually just plain plastic cups, and there was no game or prize that they supposedly advertised. To cut the story short, you don't get what you pay for! Go somewhere else!

I came here for a pile dancing class as a part of a bachelorette party weekend. - GENIUS IDEA! Our instructor was friendly and worked to teach us a few intro steps.

The package also included a bottle of champagne that we toasted after our attempts to swing around a pole. Lol!

I will also say it was actually a very good work out and I totally underestimated that component coming into.

The studio is simple with a waiting area, dance studio with approximately 10 poles and a changing room. It's also very conveniently located, so we were easily able to find a place to catch a bite to eat after leaving.

No complaints on my behalf. The bachelorette party participants had a good time and this intro class may have opened me up to considering future classes.

My girls and I came for my birthday celebration and had a great time with our instructor. She was very fun and knowledgeable. We are quick learners so it gave us time to just have fun the way we know how. It definitely added to the experience!

I would recommend for them to be a bit more forward about the location change to downtown Miami oppose to South Beach. It can definitely help with decision - making for people visiting from out of town.

Also, the flooring of the downtown location is not great for pole dancing. It is very hard and doesn't help with certain moves. Some of the girls needed socks just to do a basic spin.

My rating only goes down for those two reasons. Other than that, it was a blast!

This place has horrible customer service!!! I purchased 100 dollars worth of classes and was only able to take one during two month period, then as I walked in they did not honor the money I directly paid to them and didn't even offer an incentive for me to buy more classes. Just said my classes had expired. Really??? What did they do with all that money? Customers definitely do not come first in this establishment

I took a beginners course here and let me say it was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and inviting. I learned so much in an hour, and will be back for more. I had so much fun(: and now I got some new tricks.

I love it here! I live in north Miami beach and I drive 30 minutes just to take classes here. I tried looking for a studio near me but the teachers here are incredible, very professional and they really care about the safety of the students and the art in every movement. The front desk girls are also very nice, definitely recommend it.

Extremely clean superb teachers! Very very hard worked be prepared to be sore for at least 5 days! I wish we had 1 in LA! I will definitely be bk! ;)

I agree with Yuly F. This place does have horrible customer service. I also purchased 100 worth of classes and had to relocate due to a temp job. I came back into town about 5 days apparently too late. They said sorry we cant help you and its basically not your problem. Stay away from this scam establishment.
