Is this business really closed?
A:
It's being remodeled and the name is changing to CAFFE:iN. I got an email that the rewards points will be transferable though so it sounds like it might just be a rebrand?

I found this place by following this instagram page called top_sf_restaurants. I was in SF one weekend and wanted to check out a dessert place. I clicked on a picture from the instagram page but it just happened the location was in the east bay.
So two weeks later, I told my husband let's get dessert from this place that I found on instagram....
We ordered the fruit honey toasts dessert with strawberry ice cream and it was amazing! Sugar high afterwards! hahaha
It just looks huge but it is a good size for two people. You will think it is full of ice cream but just half way. You will find more treasures inside.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 30, 2018
I walk by this place all the time and decided that today I would finally give it a shot. The bf and I went in and ordered a strawberry snow with fresh bananas, condensed milk, and oreos. The dish is HUGE. Like, you really need a group of 4 to split between. All the flavors paired together really well but unfortunately we were only able to eat half of it.
I think the decor could use a bit of love, but other than that, the staff is really friendly and is quick to get you what you need. There are a lot of options on the menu and I look forward to trying one of their honey toasts the next time I'm in!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 18, 2017
There's always room for dessert...especially shaved snow! Sno-Crave is known for their shaved snow. I came here with my family after dinner, and shared 3 of their desserts. We ordered the Macaron Party, taro, and green tea shaved snow. For those who've never had shaved snow, it's a cross between ice cream and shaved ice.
The Macaron Party is a hollowed out loaf of bread, filled with 3 different flavors of ice cream, topped with macarons. More like party for 4? Generous portions perfect for sharing! The bread is toasted and its texture complemented the ice cream.
The snow is shaved into ribbons of flavored ice, full of flavor. Can't wait to go back to try their other flavors!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 5, 2017
Have your sweet tooth ready, because this place is super sweet. ~$10 for shaved snow with a couple of toppings. I wish they had shaved snow options with designated toppings at a lower price as opposed to charging you for the shaved snow base and making all toppings an additional charge.
I had the original milk shaved snow(~$7.00), with condensed milk (free), brown sugar syrup ($0.50), red beans ($0.50), egg pudding ($0.50), and mochi ($1.00). The portion is good for 2-3 people. Of the toppings, my favorite was probably the egg pudding. The red beans were too sweet. The shaved snow itself is okay, the milk flavor is there.
I might return again on a hot day since they do have AC inside and it feels really nice. There's a good amount of two-seated tables but only a few larger tables, so plan accordingly!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jun 2, 2018
We came by for dessert after dinner and the place was pretty packed but we easily got a seat for 2. The service was incredibly slow though, it took about 15 mins for someone to come take our orders after giving us menus.
Almost everything I wanted was not available, like many of the snow flavors and mochi. We ended up ordering honey dew snow with condensed milk and lychee jelly, and a sweet toast with lychee on the side. When they brought it out, the snow didn't even come with condensed milk. It tasted pretty refreshing though. The sweet toast was good, but pretty average. The lychee on the side was very little and came from a can.
I'm not sure I would come out of my way to come back here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 286577456Apr 23, 2017
Pretty tasty treat! We got the jenga and a couple of milk teas.
I think they forgot our order though because they came back after taking it...around 20-30 min later to ask what we ordered again. We didn't get our boba/jenga for around an hour. Taste = good, but we were so tired waiting that we weren't as hungry for the treats by the time we got our order.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 3, 2018
Good service. The waitresses were so accommodating and patient as we struggled to decide what food to eat! We ordered the black something honey toast - coffee and chocolate - $11.95. And a shaved green tea. - $6.95.
Serve yourself water and utensils, but they bring out the food..honey toast takes awhile so make sure to order it soon if you are in a rush.
We got there at 845 pm and it wasn't bad - plenty of tables - but after 915/930 pm on a Friday night...the place is PACKED and a wait outside. We got lucky. We had 6 people in our party.
Also free parking on the area! Thus, recommend this place. It is good and cute. Fast service.
Only improvements to suggest are (1) add a description of the honest toast in the menus so we know what is in them and (2) it's really loud here, which give high energy, but sometimes overstimulating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 8369598952Dec 1, 2016
Sno Crave has the new Green Tea Lava: large rectangular or cubed sugar/butter dipped toast arranged like a tower, topped with green tea ice cream and drenched in matcha flavored heavy whipping cream. Soo good but share this with a friend or two!
Hopefully they also have the new toasted marshmallow Nutella toast here! I had it at the Fremont location.
Super yum. Gooey and chocolatey, no campfire required.
Green tea snow is a favorite. Minus sweet condensed milk and red beans.
Their hot milk teas are warm and satisfying, adjust the sweetness level if you'd like. Iced milk teas from here seem watered down. I've yet to try one of their "healthy" teas presented in a clear teapot with warmer underneath. So cool looking!
Service is fine. They'll seat you asap (folks waiting Saturday night even when it's raining at 10pm), take your order, and bring the goods right out. Toast box/tower creations take around 20 min or so.Helpful 37Thanks 0Love this 27Oh no 0 - Nov 20, 2016
Snowflake, Sno-Crave - home of late night non-alcoholic peeps! Love how it's open pretty late but hate waiting in the cold (during winter) for a really long time. There are only 2 outdoor seats outside too.
Diabetes alert! We used to always go here whenever I craved something sweet. I always get Chocolate Milk Tea with less sugar and my BF gets whatever he feels like getting. He's always down to try new drinks all the time. I used to get the butter sweet toast but we found something that tasted much better: Golden Brick Toast. Occasionally, we'd get shaved ice. Honeydew is our favourite! It's soo yummy with popping jelly and boba. I've tried basically every kind of dessert in this place. There used to be waffles before but I think they don't sell it anymore. They were sooo tiny, it's crazy (I'll try to find a photo of it). The fruit crepes were good too. I always get the one with mixed fruits just because I think it has more flavour. dang, i'm craving some just writing this review.
The place is always busy at night no matter if it's the weekend or not. It's busier during the weekends, of course. They've got two TV's that's always playing pretty good movies but you can't even hear them 'cause it can get loud inside.
When we used to go here, we'd get a "neighbour" discount because the owner is my BF's next door neighbour hahaHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Allie T.Oakland, CA44015Sep 10, 2018
This place is great for dessert, I'll give you that! But as for the drinks, it's only mediocre. The service was okay, nothing too great or terrible. However, if there's a lot of people, you probably won't be served or get attention for awhile.
I usually go to this place when I'm having an ice cream craving, and I always go with the shaved ice or the macaron party toast. They both taste amazing!! I would give it full stars if I could, but sometimes the toast is really hard and impossible to eat. I usually get drinks here along with the dessert, which bumps my rating to a lower star, only because it's bland and tasteless.
One time, we sat down for more than 10 minutes before anyone came to take our orders and it wasn't even that crowded. There was also another time when an older server rolled her eyes because I wanted to get an extra knife-- what kind of customer service is that? I hope that their employees are better taught because they won't be getting a lot of returning customers with that kind of attitude. All in all, I think this place is just a good place for desserts but not so much for drinks. Be prepared to wait a bit if there's a lot of people, since some stay a long time to play games/have fun for younger teens.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
