We have had this service for a few months, and things were going fine. The app is hard to navigate. Today is Friday, and I thought I had canceled our delivery for the next Wednesday. When I realized I hadn't, I contacted them immediately. They refused to cancel it saying it was locked. I told them that if it hadn't shipped then it could be canceled. I asked for a supervisor, but was told she wasn't there and would tell me the same thing. I asked when a supervisor would be available and was told that she would be available on Monday. I canceled our account. Terrible customer service! I do not recommend this company!

At $10+ for a meal, Snap Kitchen is WAY over-priced for the portion-size and quality of the food. For that amount of money, you could eat better-tasting, healthy takeout (some with portions that can spread over several meals), or several pre-made meals at something like Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. For a similar service, Home Chef is the same price but tastes better with heartier portion sizes.

Additionally, they lock in your meals too far in advance, making it hard to alter or cancel them, even if your delivery is nearly a week away. Home Chef was also better at this.

Absolutely terrible customer service. My first order with them never showed up and when I emailed them, I was told it was my responsibility to investigate why my package wasn't delivered with no resolution from them. Upon calling the shipper, they confirmed they were actually given the wrong address so Snap was 100% at fault, which they would've known that had they provided any assistance in looking into the matter. I am extremely disappointed not only with this encounter, but because we didn't buy food for the week expecting we'd have these meals.

I'm honestly shocked at how this was handled - like they assumed I was lying right from the start/asking for proof from the shipper (which by the way, they didn't have any proof they're able to provide, other than to confirm the address they were given was wrong). Still haven't had any resolution on the matter.

Took me a while, but I really love this place now. So easy and convenient when you don't want to cook but still want to eat healthy.

All of the meals are made with high-quality ingredients and are perfect for anyone concerned about their blood sugar and carb intake. Their selection of meat dishes are also impressive. The types of meat offered range from chicken, to beef, to bison, to turkey, to lamb. They also have vegetarian and fish meals for those who don't eat animals that walk on land. ;)

Finding something you like is kind of a hit or miss. I haven't loved everything I've tried, which is why I now carefully read the labels to see what I would like. But it's pretty damn cool when you get a hit. I recently tried a beef bibimbap bowl that included ingredients such as quinoa and pickled cabbage and had the most wonderful seasoning. I absolutely loved it.

I also recently tried one of their drinks - the chai cashew "milkshake" (no dairy) that included cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and other ingredients that made the drink to die for.

Fortunately for me, the meals come in various sizes and are very reasonably priced. Easy on the wallet and great for my health. :)

I really wanted Snap Kitchen to work for me-- easy ordering, plus meal choices that fit my lifestyle... but I won't be back.
I ordered a weeks worth of lunches plus a double serving of chicken and side veggies. The ingredient quality and overall flavor was underwhelming. Basically everything floated in some sort of broth or maybe it's water mixed with sauce? For the price, I expect better. I even tried to heat one meal according to their oven directions, but that didn't help either. The one exception was the crispy salmon, which was good.

I came here since they had sent me a voucher and I've definitely been trying to eat healthier nowadays. If you haven't been to a snap kitchen before, this is definitely a place you should try out.

There are definitely two kinds of people that come here. Those that buy every single meal from here and those that stop by for the occasional meal. I'd get to bored if I ate everything from here. Definitely great if you want something quick, delicious and healthy for work.

      Pros:
+ Diet Restriction friendly - Yep, you can definitely find things for vegetarians, vegan friendly, gluten-free foods.
+ Everything is marked with the ingredients - so great if you can't eat one or two ingredients for cultural/religious/health reasons
+ Well organized - This store is divided by breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and snacks. Everything is well labeled and color coded according to portion size
+ Large variety - they always have a changing menu; works with each season
+ Fresh made - they cook the meals and deliver them to their kitchen on daily basis
+ Convenient Parking - it's super easy to drive in and out of this pretty quickly
      + Friendly service!
+ Frequent visitor programs - highly recommend this even if you come in occasionally.

      Cons:
      - Can get expensive pretty quickly - they always have deals and a frequent rewards program. However, I expect to spend $8-12 per meal and $3-5 for a snack

TL;DR: I have been in a year long love affair with Snap Kitchen and if that's wrong I don't wanna be right.

Full review: This review has been a long time coming. I am absolutely 100% obsessed with Snap Kitchen. For over a year now, it's *literally* been all I eat for lunch and dinner during the week. As a single person who lives alone, it really isn't that much more expensive than doing meal prep and it's a helluva lot faster. I shudder to think of what my diet would look like with my current job and no Snap Kitchen. The Uptown location is my favorite in terms of selection and preparation consistency.

Favorite things: (there are so many!!)
      --Bison Quinoa Hash
      --Spaghetti Turkey Bolognese
      --Shrimp Scampi
      --Chicken Butternut Macaroni
      --BBQ Brisket Plate

I also LOVE their pre-made snacks, such as the Rx bar vanilla almond butter, Hail Merry almond butter chocolate cups, and Tessmae's salads.

The one thing I try to stay away from is their chicken. Other than the chicken butternut macaroni (where the chicken is actually ground) I just find that it's dry/not very flavorful. For my friends who say they don't like Snap Kitchen, I always tell them to try again with something not-chicken!

I pretty much always have my meals delivered to my office. Door Dash and Favor do a great job getting it to me quickly, and I love that they bring it all the way up to the 20th floor rather than making me come down and chase them.

My only gripe is that since they've switched to compostable packaging, they no longer have different sizes of meals. There used to be 3 sizes for each meal and it was fantastic. It allowed me to very easily tweak my calorie intake depending on what I planned to eat during the weekend. Hopefully the sizes come back, but overall the compostable packaging is a big win. It'd be great if they had in-store receptacles for compostable items because just throwing such things in the general trash is not that much better than throwing plastic away. But baby steps! Don't let "perfect" be the enemy of "better," know what I mean?

One last thing: their ap is great and so easy to use. I love that while I'm laying in bed Sunday night, I can pick out my meals and set the delivery time for 10am Monday morning. How else can you meal prep an entire week from bed in 5 minutes?

Nice place for a healthy, pick up meal. The staff is great and the selection is excellent. Not a place you want to eat every day, but more than gets the job done when you're in need of a quick and healthy lunch or dinner.

Yum! I am writing this review on a full belly, right after eating a delicious take-away meal from Snap Kitchen. We got a promotional gift card in the mail to try their food for free, so my boyfriend (who works right near their McKinney Ave store) went in during his lunch break and picked up one of their chicken entrees. He loved it! Was an instant fan. So we came in here on a Friday night looking to pick up some food to take to work the following week. I purchased one of their vegetarian lasagnes, and on our way out the staff member behind the cash register told us we could take a couple other meals for free! I guess they usually donate the meals they don't sell to charity, but these had missed the pick-up date so they were giving them away to customers. So we ended up with three meals for the price of one!

I held off writing this review until I had tried one of the meals myself, even though at this point in the story I was already ready to give five stars (free food? Donating to charity? Really nice employees? Come on!). Now, after eating their Ginger Glazed Scottish Salmon (small), I can say with full confidence that I am a die-hard Snap Kitchen fan. This meal was A-MAZ-ING. The salmon was so tender and juicy, the glaze was sweet and flavorful, and the two sides of roasted kabocha squash puree and green beans really made this a decadent meal. And all for 270 calories!

Snap Kitchen clearly labels all nutrition facts (calorie counts, sodium, protein, iron) and they put the ingredients in big font (because the ingredients are so simple and delicious, they want you to read them). Their meals are very reasonably priced and only take a minute or two to heat up. They also sell juices, snacks, breakfast and dinner items. This place is perfect for all my future work-lunch needs!

Placed an initial order with a delivery date, never got my food delivered and they proceeded to charge me again for the following week, having not even got my food last week. I wrote in asking for an explanation...after 4 days all I got was a refund never an explanation why my food never arrived.
