I just had a pulled pork dinner for a church fundraiser. The pulled pork itself was very good everything else meh. I did not like the corn bread at all I didn't even eat it and the potato salad was very under-seasoned so I didn't bother with that. The corn on the cob was very crisp which is a good thing.

Clearly the pork is the star of this meal and it was great to support my church - and a fun way to try out a place I hadn't before although I'm not sure they'll be reopening.

The corn bread was just plain awful.

Really wish I could give out half stars for this one, because I had a hard time deciding between 3 or 4 stars. This was my choice for birthday dinner as I love BBQ and have always wanted to try here. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would be willing to try again.

The first thing you should know is that they are a busy and popular place with a small parking lot, not a huge dining room, only a small place to wait and no reservations. I didn't let this really affect my rating as its a testament to them that people are willing to wait, but it is something important to know if you are checking them out for the first time. They do have a nice patio but on our visit the weather didn't cooperate for that. We came just before 5 on a saturday and waited about 20 minutes which wasn't bad and we didn't mind the close quarters for the wait.

For food my husband and I shared an order of the smoked wings for an appetizer. They were good, however I have had smoked wings at other places and I feel like they lacked the melt in your mouth quality. Their kansas sauce was good but kept them feeling more like regular than smoked wings.

For dinner we shared the 3 meats and 3 sides. It was a good portion of food. We got ribs, brisket and shrimp. My husband really enjoyed the ribs, I only had one bite but found them pretty good as well. The brisket was OK, a little charred and maybe I just got an unpreferential cut but it was extra fatty. The shrimp was OK, if I came back I think I would stick more to the traditional BBQ food. I did really enjoy the mac and cheese side, it had good flavor and goldfish on top. The sweet potato fries were OK seemed to likely be frozen.

The service was good, and the food was fine, I would be willing to go back and try again but with other good BBQ places locally I may be more likely to choose one of them.

Not just BBQ! Although the BBQ items on the me you are delightful, this past visit I ordered Ahi Tuna tacos for an appetizer and the porta bella mushroom sandwich. The ahi tacos combined Hawaiian marinated tuna ( I sensed a bit of pineapple flavor) cilantro, cuc, and a tasty sriracha drizzled on top! What a combo! The various flavors tickle the tastebuds. I ate every last bite. The porta bella sandwich also tasty. Grilled to Perfection and topped with a roasted red pepper mozzarella and balsamic glaze drizzle! Can you say YUM?!
My husband had a rack of ribs that could feed an army with bold
Flavor! It was very busy for a Sunday night so we sat at the bar which made the experience more enjoyable. The bartenders were fun! One disappointment was that they ran out of the BBQ lasagna, next time... give this place a try!

If you want delicious BBQ, make your way to Smoke On The Water.
It's a small little place on the water. We ate on the outside deck since it was a beautiful day.

The food here is amazing! BBQ and many, many other options. Our table had pulled pork (Oh so good), brisket (amazing), Fried Baloney (so thick and awesome!). Deviled eggs appetizer was a HUGE hit.

I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here. Definitely stop here if you're in the area!

If it wasn't for the amazing service, I would've given them 4 stars. Each time I visited, Lindsey was my waiter and she was very accommodating and kind. She always made sure to refill our water and check up on us.

The inside is very cozy. There is a side with seats and tables and the opposite side is a bar with some stools. The place is pretty big and each time I visited, there was enough space, but I usually go around 2-3 hours before closing. I believe they are participating in local restaurant week from April 16-22 2018. The menu at Smoke on the Water has many options and they also have daily specials. They have an option on the menu to purchase the staff drinks as well for only 6$! They also have pretty large portions!

I have tried the ribs, the brisket, the blackened grouper, the pulled pork, the shrimp K bobs, and smoked chicken and a lot of the sides. My favorite of the sides are the sweet potato fries and the regular fries. My favorite of all the entree is the blackened groupers. It was very tender and the flavor was delicious. The ribs are mediocre. The brisket is cooked really well, it melts in your mouth and taste good with the variety of sauce options. We also got a complimentary appetizer during our first visits and a complimentary dessert on a different visit!

Tl:dr - amazing serving, pretty good food. I think blackened grouper and brisket are the best entree. As for sides sweet potato fries and grilled potatoes.

I was in Buffalo, NY for a work project. I landed at 7 AM and was on my way. Everything went really well and I finished up around 1 PM. OK time to eat before flying home. I checked Yelp and found "Smoke on the Water"

BBQ which I've been shying away from since a poor experience in Connecticut.

Well this is Buffalo so let's give it a try. My GPS took me to a location, but the restaurant was no where to be found. Well it's tucked back in a corner and a little difficult to access.

But I'm here and walk in. Immediately a very nice young lady says " Sit wherever you like". I take a gander at the menu and settle on they Memphis BBQ Brisket.

In no time at all my lunch is on the table. A variety of sauces to choose from, and it came with fries. Pickles. And some Cole slaw. Excellent, just plain Excellent.

Waitress checked back a few times just to see if everything was OK, but not overwhelming. Just before I'm done she refills my drink intuitively.

Place has a great atmosphere. On the small side and some outdoor seating, when it's not 5 degrees out. It is on the water but more like a river leading to the Great Lakes.

They play steel drum music. Which I like. Very comfortable setting, and a small bar.

Before I left I stopped by the men's room. Very very interesting urinal. It is made out of a beer keg, but I can attest that it's functional.

Buffalo has a lot of restaurant choices, but if you want really good BBQ. In a comfortable atmosphere, this is the place. And don't forget to try out the urinal, Guys

What an amazing restaurant! The food quality is awesome and portions are huge. I got the 2's- 2 meats and 2 sides. The pulled pork and blackened grouper were delicious. So was the spicy tartar sauce. I wasn't expecting a whole piece of fish since it was a combo. (Needless to say I had a ton of leftovers). The stir fry veggies had great flavor and tasted fresh. However, the mac and cheese left much to be desired. It was bland and not very cheesy. Wife had the brisket and chicken with beans and mac and cheese. She said the chicken was just ok but she loved the brisket. I tried a piece and it was very tender and flavorful. Service was great as well.

Only downside, not a great spot (at lease inside where it's too small for a stroller) for babies. We usually flip the high chair upside down and put the car seat in it. The highchair was falling apart and the wooden pieces were separating at the bottom. When we tried to put her in sitting, the straps did not tighten properly. So we ended up holding baby the majority of the time. Still, overall, great food, drinks, and service.

Anytime I go to SOTW it is phenomenal. From the drinks to the appetizers to the entrees. It is all amazingly delicious!

Tonight we started with a few appetizers - the deviled eggs, pretzel sticks, and the ta-tas. The deviled eggs are something you'd never think of concocting. They have pulled pork and BBQ sauce drizzled on top and the egg mixture is tangy and tasty. The pretzels were big and fluffy, with the perfect amount of salt. They come with nacho cheese and a creole mustard for dipping. The ta-tas are sides that you can get with your entree as well. They are tator tots with nacho cheese and hot sauce on them.

There are a slew of different meats to choose from, I went with ribs and pulled pork. With the 2 meats, 2 sides option I also went for the Nickel city Mac and cheese and the chivetta's grilled potatoes. The potatoes have great flavor and go with anything in my opinion. The mac and cheese is one of SOTW's noteworthy sides - cheesy with goldfish crackers on top. I like to add a little BBQ to it as well!

The meats were cooked to perfection. The BBQ sauce makes them even better. The pulled pork is tender and seasoned perfectly. The ribs were big and meaty, and the meat fell off the bones. This was another outstanding outing to Smoke on the Water and every time it is just as great. The staff are friendly and work so hard - that place can be crazy busy but worth the wait. The drinks were also fantastic. If you go, make sure to buy a round for the kitchen - they deserve it!

I stopped in by myself to grab a quick dinner. Everyone was very friendly from the girl who seated me to the wait staff. The food was decent for a decent price .

It was nice to sit outside by the water and relax. The only downside to being by the water what's the fuel smell on the boats docked.

My favorite sit down BBQ place now that Kentucky Greg's is closed. Everything has always been flavorful, the meat tender, and good sides.
Most recently had the cubano. It's not a Cuban per se but it's still good.
