    Slumberland Freeport is a part of the Slumberland family of home furniture and mattress stores. Our mission is to improve the lives of our customers. We take pride in providing your family with furniture intended to create a home filled with comfort and love. We are located at the corner of W South St and Walnut across from the fire department. We deliver to a 50 mile radius around our store location. In-store pickup is also available. Pick up is at the double doors in front of building next to the loading dock.       Just had furniture delivered this afternoon. The two guys, Nick and Tom (I believe that was his name) were amazing professionals!! They were super nice, professional, and were very fast with 3 pieces of furniture. I had a great experience from them. Great work men!! Keep up the great work!

      Patty a slumber land of Freeport is a salesperson took me to the new beds told me to try them out I picked the Tempurpedic bed out that suited me the best. I ordered it several days later they called and said they do not make that bed any longer and they would sell me the one in the showroom floor. I am having severe back pain and left hip went to the chiropractor told me I needed a different bed. Talk to Jeff the manager not willing to help me out in any manner. I run a business myself been self employed for 32 years I would never treat a client like that. I am stuck with a $4,000 bed and will be going to the chiropractor. Tempurpedic advertises 120 day try. Can exchange for different beds I am within that time frame would never ever ever do business when Slumberland of Freeport ever again they all should lose their jobs and be working at Walmart or McDonalds but they may miss sell the hamburger for a cheeseburger.       ZERO STARS!!
      WARNING!!!
      Don't waste your time with this store or these people.

      We ordered a dining set. It came quickly. Well, part of it, with wrong parts. We ordered 6 chairs, 7 came. No base to the table. They showed up over an hour late, with no communication. They said our "new base" was back at the store, they just forgot to load it, so they were going back to get it. I called the store to ask about it because something just didn't seem right, they said the base came in damaged, however, the packing slip showed they never ordered it (THEY LIED TO TRY AND COVER THEIR OWN BUTTS INSTEAD OF JUST OWNING THE MISTAKE). So, they were going to send the showroom one. (That must've been our "NEW" one back at the store)
      When I told them that was unacceptable, their solution, which was conveyed very RUDELY and AGGRESSIVELY, was that we just "use" that one until the new one came in and then we could set up a new "2 hour window" for them to deliver it, when they could find time to fit it in their schedule...which I'm sure would turn into a 3 or 4 hour window...and fit into THEIR schedule??? I told them I wanted a refund and asked that they come back and pick up the chairs as well as cut a refund check. I couldn't believe the demeanor and rudeness I got in return. I asked how long it would take to get my money returned. They told me it would depend on when they cut checks next and could not give me a time frame.
      Called corporate, she was actually polite and listened. No answers. She had to file a complaint and it will take 48 hours for a response.

      Ok....So my wife and I went to several furniture stores in Rockford. We ended up at the Slumberland on East State Street. We were looking for a twin bed for our daughter. We were greeted warmly by Mike and he showed is where the beds were. He then left us alone....this I liked. We ended up buying a bed from them. We found Mike nearby and he proceeded to process the sale. We wanted the bed the way it was displayed. He checked and saved us $100 because the bed came with 2 dressers instead of 1. We only needed 1. Shipping and set up was going to be extra because we lived in Mount Morris which was a little outside their limit. However Mike checked and said that the Freeport store was closer to us and had the sale transferred there so we can save $30. Nice! 2 days later I get a call from Freeport telling me they make deliveries on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He said that as soon as it came in they would call me. The following week they called me and we set up a Tuesday for delivery. They called me on Monday night and gave me a 2 hour window. The guys arrived at 1130am. A half hour before their window expired. They came in .....brought all the stuff that we ordered and were done in an hour. They were polite and neat and took all the garbage with them. I don't know about everyone's else experiences but mine was wonderful. They called.....they came....they delivered...what more can I say. We will definitely go back. My wife is eyeing a new sofa now.....

      In 2014 I bought a bed for my father at Slumberland. The bed turned out to work well for my father. In 2016 I bought a living room set from Slumberland I had no problem. In June , 2016 I bought a bed for myself in which I only slept on it 3 times. However; I was not satisfied with my bed so, in lest then a month I went back to the store to inform the person who sold me the bed how disappointment I was with the bed and he ignore me by pretending he was busy so some other person attended to me. She went on to look at some board and went on to tell me that someone will call me soon to set up a time for him to visit me and look at the bed. I waited a little over a week then finally I went back to the store and someone else try to assist me but, he ended up frustrating me more then the person who sold me the bed. A couple of days went by I called the store again only to be told that I had to wait for another couple of days before someone would come out to see the be. Finally, someone did come out to see the bed and realize that the bed was not in a good shape. I went back to the store and purchased another bed . I will no longer ever buy any furniture from Slumberland again. My complain is that the service sucks and people treat you as you are bothering them. The only person that I found helpful was the young man who came to my home and looked at the bed. He was polite and friendly. As for the rest of the staff they need to have more hospitality and patience with people. I rate this experience with a ZERO! No I would not recommend it to my friend or family.

      BEWARE!!! Don't waste your time here. We purchased a couch and loveseat recently. Waited 3 weeks for them to come in and at delivery they only had the couch because the loveseat had a rip down the side. They said it would be another month for it to come in. Well we decided we weren't waiting that long since we already waited 3 weeks. So decided to just return everything. We set up a time for them to come pick it up from our house between 3-5 on thursday. I took off early from work and they never showed up. Frustrated, my husband talked to them and they had no excuse. Well then said they would pick it up at 6:00 on the dot that friday. Again no one showed up! This place is a joke. The staff and management have no clue what they are doing and could care less about the customers. They try to make the customer sound like a crazy person when really they just give you a line of crap even if its not true.They also have yet to credit my account for the return. Needless to say, I have contacted my credit card company about this situation along with Slumberlands corporate office. Please save yourself the hastle, these people are total assholes. I will never shop there again. I will also let everyone I know about this situation! Also, the manager Jeffery Snow is an arrogant prick and its a wasts of time even trying to talk tohim. When my husband talked to him he just had a cocky smerk on his face the entire time. Obviously customer serve went straight out the door at this establishment!
