Unless you want to pay extra for demos ($70! Ridiculous!), don't come here. Rented their standard package ($45) for a day and the gear was so poor that I could hardly ski and almost got injured multiple times. I am an intermediate skiier and have been skiing for ~10 years. In all that time, this is the worst gear I've ever rented.

Sent friends over there to buy boots. Bad experience with possibly the same salesperson. They walked out, disgusted. I am embarrassed. How can they run a business like this.
Used to be a good store!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Dec 18, 2020Previous reviewNot a great boot fitting experience. Uncomfortable with sales person's knowledge. A bit brusque. Limited inventory. It's a shame because it used to be my go to store. Not comfortable with COVID precautions.

New location but same knowagable dedication to the ski industry ... and they still have a real fireplace but now a beer stop as well, brilliant! ... Yes, Skjersaa's is a business and here to provide everything you, your family, or fiends may need for skiing and other outdoor activities but they also have a serious locals attitude which is real and important.
If you want Dick's go to Dick's and send your dollars to support Dick's or some internet based business far removed from Bend but if you want to keep one of our longstanding local businesses in business spend your dollars @ Skjersaa's. They are not just here to sell you stuff but they will provide real advise because they care about the mountain, ski tradition, and our city. Skjersaa's also supported the race community for which I will always be very thankful.
Yes, the ski business has change since I first visited Skjersaa's as a child a long time ago but we've all just adapted and the skis are now wider and shorter but so am I. What hasn't changed is the local flavor and culture of real true skis shops in ski towns. Thanks JN for keeping it fun for us ...Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jan 28, 2018
I love the vibe here. You walk into a cozy ski lodge in the middle of town to a roaring fire, and a super cute tap room that has local beers for a glass or growler. The staff is welcoming and friendly, super knowledgeable about the area and the equipment. It's laid-back and non-judgemental for sure.
I rented skis and boots for a four day ski Adventure in Bend, and usually like to rent the most high performance demo skis. I know I was a little late in the season and walk-ins don't get best pick, so I had to settle for good pair, but not the best. I'm also at a disadvantage because I'm super short, so finding skis for my height, like something under 165 is harder to find in a demo pair. I had emailed them a few months prior to request to reserve a really good demo pair, but never heard back. And honestly it wasn't so important to me that I needed to follow up.
All in all it was a great experience, and I was able to pick up my skis the day before and even drop them off the day after. The rates are super reasonable and the shop is easy to get to.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Zachary E.Philadelphia, PA071Jan 1, 2021
I bought skis over the holidays and the crew at Skjersaa's set me up right. They have the best selection in town.
Super knowledgeable and best shop dog in town - super friendly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brianna J.San Diego, CA804615Dec 11, 2020
I was Christmas shopping at powder house with no luck when my boyfriend told me to head over to Skjersaa's. This is forever my go-to shop for snow gear now. Greg asked what I was looking for and all I said was "browsing for my boyfriend" and he sold me on several items immediately. Such a cool guy and an even cooler shop. Beyond awesome customer service and a nice selection of quality gear.

Great place to get your skis tuned and have a beer at the same time. A real locals meeting place.
Open all year with 10 taps of beer and more choices in the fridge.
I ski 12 months a year so getting a was in July, August or September is not always easy to find but they can do it here.

Excellent service and Covid precautions! We needed our tire changed on a Thule stroller and everyone was friendly including the shop dog. Two days later the tire was flat again and they changed it without charge. Thank you so much!
