Skaneateles Community Center

An amazing venue. As noted, they have an indoor pool with a slide, and an ice skating rink. The Pavilion outside is very nice. The kids LOVED the playground. Plenty of open area and tennis courts. If you are in town, check it out!

My opinion. Please note, I can only rate the pools and locker room. This YMCA is in poor condition. I travel around and this by far was the worst i have experienced. I was shocked how old it appeared to be. Everything in that locker room was old and dirty. What I especially did not like was the lack of easy steps into the lap pool. I found the ladder difficult to use in order to get out. I have a disability that limits mobility. The pool area was rather beat up and needs attention. I did not see the work out areas. I did notice the coffee maker in the lobby was broken. If this is the only YMCA you know you would not realize the comparable differences. I had zero contact with any staff so I can not comment on such.

We are at the Y at least twice a week either for swimming or ice skating. We love it here I feel safe bringing my kids here. Also there is a food court. I am not giving it 5 stars because the women's bathroom needs a through cleaning.

The classes they have are a plus and the staff for them are extremely nice.

Had a hockey stick taken while my kid was on the ice. Sad that this would happen at a place like this.

Community center is a great place for active kids and adults. They cater to families. The main attractions are the indoor pools (with water slide) and the ice skating rink. There is also a workout gym that is well equipped.

If you are in town for the weekend but still want to work out, they offer daily passes too.
