Know where you are! This is a good as it gets greasy spoon. You can't go wrong if you love diner food, but don't expect what it isn't.
This is just outside of Cobo Hall, it's quick and convenient. Prices are very reasonable, you won't over spend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Wally S.Ypsilanti, MI322281145May 7, 2011First to Review
When attending a recent Detroit Derby Girls game we found we were early and in need of some nourishment so we started checking out the local restaurants. Since the Red Wings game had recently finished, most of the places were still packed.
Just around the corner from Cobo we found the Six Pack Bar and Grill. This place wasn't too busy (i.e. not a lot of noisy hockey fans drinking it up) so we decided to stop.
The Six Pack is a small Greek based, similar to a Coney Island. The food was good and the prices were just right for what we got. I had an omelet that was cooked to perfection and my wife enjoyed a salad. Both of us were very happy with the service and food that we received. It wasn't fancy, but it got the job done and in the way we wanted it to be done.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Paige M.Ann Arbor, MI085Feb 6, 2013
Came here after the auto show with some of my friends. I've been craving a gyro since I moved to Ann Arbor last summer, but I have to say, the gyro here left me hanging. Maybe I'm asking too much of a place like this to have real gyro meat, but what I got was three pre-formed patties of meat that didn't even begin to fill my pita. However, I don't think it's too much for my fries to be fully cooked... And it's not that the cooks were rushed or anything - the restaurant was fairly empty when I was there...
I'd probably give two stars for the food, but I'm bumping my rating up to three stars because the service was great. We were never waiting long for anything, and the waitress was really funny. Prices aren't too bad either.
I think this is an ok place to go if you're looking for some quick food by the Cobo Center, but I wouldn't recommend the gyro. Myself? I'll be trying something new next time I'm in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tony D.Thousand Oaks, CA41466273Feb 26, 2012
A little place just outside the Cobo Center. It isn't great, but a cheap and easy alternative to overpriced hot dogs and soda inside the Cobo Center.
I ordered a ham and cheese sub, cup of soup and a drink all for $9. It wasn't the best lunch I have ever had, but much better than anything inside the convention. The sub was supposed to have Italian Dressing and Pepper Mix per the menu but just came with lettuce and tomato.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
