The food and service are always wonderful at Sims. So glad their dining room is once again open!!

I came towards the end of the day. I was immediately greeted and my order was taken. I love the glimpses of black history on the wall. I ordered a combination plate with ribs, chopped beef, greens, green beans and sweet potato pie. Everything was wonderful, hot and flavorful! I really wished they opted for homemade sweet potato pie rather than store brought. I'll definitely try again!

They serve all food to go but there are tables to sit down. We had the lunch special Monday-Friday it was so good. Glad we shared it was so good got the ribs,links,potato salad and coleslaw. We liked our sides and people working there super nice. Would absolutely stop in again.

Ordered 3 rib sandwiches to go. Ribs on top was okay, the ones on the bottom was nothing but fat meat and a waste of money. Never again

It smelled good, I pulled up for this here called BBQ.....yes they have signs on every door that says must wear a mask . I didn't have one on me it's been a while, so I walked out cause they asked for my mask.
I parked on the side of the building you would call it. It's where the BBQ pit room is at. Through the screen door I can see the cook sitting with no mask on, feel free to pull up on him.

Sims don't be such hypocrites when the person cooking the food doesn't even wear a mask.

I'm not sure how they managed to have sides that steal the show, but Sim's is the whole package. I got the chopped beef - finely chopped with some crispy bits. And while the meat could not have been any more satisfying, the greens and beans were even more out of this world. The most perfect blend of seasoning salt, meat, and a hint of vinegar. Absolute perfection.

No dining in during Covid times; but the order at the front was a pleasant experience. And the cashiers were friendly and helpful. I cracked open my messy to go box right in the parking lot and chowed down.

I'd rate it higher if I could! We were traveling thru Little Rock and needed a late lunch. With decent reviews (who puts a 1 star because they didn't have dine in due to COVID?!?!?), we stopped in. you know you chose well when the place is loaded at 2pm with people waiting for their food. Don't expect a quick pick up from ordering. Friendly staff, but takes time to get all the orders from in person and pick up. We had ribs, chopped beef (already sold out of sliced beef by 2pm), and sausage. All were excellent. The BBQ beans are on the sweeter side, which we love but you may not. Mustard potato Salad was perfect. My husband said the greens were the best he'd ever had in all his time eating greens in small towns in TX. If you drive by this place, please support local.

Coming from San Antonio, Tx and needing a quick bite to hit the road again, we stopped at Sims and enjoyed everything we ordered. Sweet ladies up front with great service. It was a home feeling. It's very delicious!

Ordered a slab of ribs and they was delicious and very meaty. Still can't dine in to go orders only. The ladies at the register was very helpful and friendly

I asked one of the workers here at the hotel where I can find some barbecue. Before I can even put the dot on my sentence he said "Sims barbecue about 3 miles away". I didn't give it much thought I just went with his suggestion and boy the local was right!!
It's the old-school southern vibe in here that's simply offer's good barbecue. Prices are decent and competitive from what I read around here. The two young ladies at the front desk a very pleasant and professional. But the food tho..the SLICED BEEF. Gtfoh!! That was delish! I liked the thin vinegary sauce that wasn't too much. It wasn't too thick it wasn't too thin it wasn't too tangy it wasn't too over powering it anyway. Yet it was such a good complement to the barbecue. I got the ribs with the beef, greens and green beans with cornbread. Nuff said
