Line dancing class is a total JOKE!

I've been dancing for almost two decades. I'm familiar with the fact that different regions dance differently to the same song. Believe me.

Line dancing class isn't teaching you what foot you're on after a move, therefore how to go into the next. It's a lot more 'see how I do it's and even the teacher was going opposite of the song. Not the kind of teaching with the song that teaches you HOW to dance unless you're just in tune with how poorly they teach you they rarely ever use correct terms (box step, vine, etc, and still do it backwards).

So glad other places teach it with correct terms and use song during teaching and correct left and right. Comical you should even come here and not expect that. Other patrons taught better than the coaches. Jokes. All jokes.

EVEN THE ROANOKE CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS HANGING OUT WITH THEIR WIFE/GF!

And why is a CHILD under 16 allowed!?

I am moving to the Charlottesville, VA area and had been trying to find a place for Line dancing. I came on a Tuesday night which is full of 18+... hardly anyone 30+. . Do expect a $10 cover wish it was not stated on their website. Also had to pay for parking which was another $10.... Food was good! Dance floor is small for the amount of people that come. The lady that teaches the dance, has a camera to show steps. LOVE the thought of that. Hope this helps!

Talked to a kid and they said Tuesdays and Thursdays are college night.... Would have been great to know before hand. Please update the website....

My recommendation if your in the middle of Charlottesville and here, make your way to Leesburg, VA at loundon kitchen bar and grill - and search line dance 4 you on FB for their schedule. 10/10 recommend!

Same songs played even months later when I went. Could be a whole lot better in general. PG music, at 21+ bar is ridiculous. I didn't want to dance to high school musical.

I am a loyal regular customer that comes nearly every weekend. I never thought I'd say this but i feel extremely disappointed right now with the sidewinders staff. After many months of coming and having drinks with my friends on the weekends, I got kicked out by an employee who frankly i can't say I've seen before. Again, i come to this bar every weekend and have spoken to all the staff plenty of times and know their faces well. If this is a new employee, i would recommend more adequate training be provided to him, because, and excuse my language, this man got me fucked up, I would assume that you guys' requirements to kick someone out would include if they are being disruptive or causing harm, for instance physical altercations occurring. I understand you guys want to ensure a safe environment for your customers, but in no way shape or form was i being disruptive or causing harm, what i was doing, was standing with my friends, laughing, and having a drink, which tell me if I'm wrong, but that's what bars are for, hm? BTW, a group of guys literally flipped over one of yalls tables, not far from where i was, and your employee decided to kick me out? It's just very silly to me. Anywho, if yall are hiring new employees, please make sure they are adequately trained, or else yall are gonna lose a customer and more at that. Lots of $$$ down the drain. Not happy right now sidewinders.

We went here on a Friday night. It was a $10 cover to get in the door. Probably to help pay for the live music. The entertainment was poor. Nobody was dancing but to maybe two songs an hour, maybe 4-6 people at a time. We went to get dinner, so we ordered food. We got the Sidewinder and the regular cheeseburger. The burgers were dry. The Sidewinder has sliced brisket on it. Tough and dry. The brisket would have been better if it had been chopped and BBQ'ed. Anyways, we wanted to try this place, it looked fun driving by. But disappointed with the over-the-top level of security, extravagant cover charge and low quality menu. Service from the bartender was great! Thank you. But from our experience, next time we'll keep looking for another place.

Ok, so after searching through all of the reviews on here I haven't been able to find any recent ones. Some of the ones that I have seen made me nervous especially the one about some one making sexual comments to a 17 yrs old, but all that being said, I have to say Julie my server was very attentive and fast. I have been here twice and she has been our server both times. Both time same level of great service. All of the servers and managers that I have met have all been great and friendly.

The first time we came was Wednesday for the roast beef and then this time was taco Tuesday both are all you can eat for $9.00+ tax which is a deal. Even if you aren't into the main dish the salad bar here is well above par. It may not have a ton of items but there is a good selection and it is always fresh. The place is clean and the noise levels make it so that you can carry on a conversation without having to raise you voice.

If you haven't been here in a while give them another try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the Change.

We were sitting in a spot that a waitress put us in so my husband (who is a disabled veteran and is going through lung cancer treatment) could enjoy the show that We PAID to see...well, the OWNER comes up to my husband (Our 1st and only interaction with him) and told him to move his Fucking Ass because he can't fucking sit there. He was Rude and disrespectful. We tried to say a waitress had seated us there but he didn't want to listen to anything. We moved our chairs to a table that strangers who overheard said we could share.
What's the difference if we Stand in one spot or sit? We are still occupying space. The OWNER could have asked politely to move and this would not had even been an issue.
And just an FYI for Any disabled persons...they are NOT handicap friendly!
I'll be sure to share verbally to all my co-workers and former co-workers which make up a lot of the clientele at Sidewinders how shitty the owner was to us.
Also, I'll let our veteran community know, Disabled American Veterans etc. I am disgusted by him. We go to Dr. Pepper Park from now on!
Side note: the waitress was amazing and trying to be helpful!

Best place been coming for years! Always good staff it's a home bar away from home. I drive a hour every time to come here cuz it's worth it! Always good music and entertainment ! You won't be disappointed!

I went outdoors on st Patrick's day to make sure my friend could get to her car because the road was shut down. I came back to the door with my stamp on my hand and was refused entry. I was told to stand in he long line to go through the metal detector again although I DID NOT leave the outdoor area. It was 35 degrees outside and I had no jacket because my boyfriend was indoors with it. I begged and pleaded with the guy at the door and was threatened with security. I was forced to wait outside in the cold weather in my short sleeve shirt until my boyfriend was able to come out with my jacket. We then proceeded to leave because Sidewinders did not and never will deserve our service again. Shame on you and your establishment.
