First I would like to say I loved my waiter Mickey, he was so kind and hilarious, the food was delicious as always, we come here every year for my birthday! And the service is really good, the staff are super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was super clean! Definitely recommend this place it is the best!

So glad this place was worth the trek across the metro!
Celebrated a friends birthday dinner here and we had so much fun and the food was really good too
I ordered the Red Lotus for a cocktail-was very easy to drink probably more soda water than I needed though
The hibachi dinner filet mignon and shrimp combo was delicious and a ton of food. Comes with the onion soup and then a small salad(not my favorite) and then the amazing fried rice and then noodles and vegetables. I was stuffed at the end so make sure you come hungry. Our chef was fun entertaining and cooked our food perfectly. Don't skimp on the yum yum sauce and the ginger sauce, I mix them together delish!
The happy birthday song seems to happen every 30 mins!! and that got annoying but overall I enjoyed my first time thereHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 105672Feb 28, 2023
Our go to place for takeout sushi! While we've never dined in, we probably order once a month and are never disappointed in the quality of food. Their tuna sashimi is always fresh & their pieces are generous. We also love the hibachi!
I would recommend getting there early to pickup if you're ordering hot and cold dishes, everything goes in one bag & warm sushi isn't ideal. I'd also suggest having soy sauce & chopsticks at home because we only get them 1 out of 4 orders.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ethan T.MN, MN022Jun 5, 2023
FOOD
The Menu is big and there are many choices for you. I got the chicken and shrimp combo and I was really excited for it because I haven't been to a shogun place in a while. The appetizers were delicious I had onion soup and It was gone in seconds amazing 10/10. For the Main course the noodles and rice were Fantastic the flavor just burst into my mouth the chicken was THE BEST
I never felt the soft chew in chicken before.
SERVICE
The staff hear were a BLAST our shogun kept us entertained. And they were all really kind.

The food was great definitely a 10/10 and I totally would recommend the restaurant to anyone else who likes Asian cuisine this is a very decent lunch or dinner spot if you're looking to go grab a bite. The service was good the waiter was nice we enjoyed the ambience too.

We had the sushi rolls and sashimi platter for two, lychee martini and a mojito. We sat out on the patio and had sorta slow service, but overall, great experience. Ambiance is fun inside with a water bridge feature entrance, teppanyaki tables for groups that would like an interactive Benihana-style dining experience or regular dining table experience if you prefer a more quiet dining experience.

I took my family here because I wanted to take them to a nice hibachi style restaurant. I went to one a while back and I was craving the experience again. We loved our visit. We did make a reservation but it may not have been needed.
We really enjoyed the entire experience. The chef or whatever you would call the guy or gal that puts on a show for you. The ring around the grill was full of different types of people who all had a fun time. It is a bit spend but worth it. This is our 1st time at Shogun near the Burnsville Center and I am sure we will be back.Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - Jul 2, 2022
This is your typical run of the mill hibachi restaurant - prices are a little high, but that's life these days. The portions seemed good to us (we even took some home!) and our chef was incredibly entertaining! The atmosphere was so fun and hibachi is always an experience. I wouldn't seek this place out if I lived in a different part of the cities but it fits the bill for once or twice a year when we need it in Burnsville. Food was good, we were disappointed that they were out of both of their Japanese whiskies but we made do with other cocktails! Pro tip: skip the side of ginger sauce and ask for a second side of yum yum sauce, that way you can drench it on everythiiiiiing.

Shogun really is so good -- I've never had a bad experience or even been remotely disappointed. I'm happy to have a sushi/hibachi spot like this South of the river.
The rolls we got tonight are pretty normal and thus there isn't too much to say about other than the fish and ingredients were very, very fresh.
We also got some fried rice and I asked for three yum yum sauces. Well, I didn't know each order came with two so now we just have all the sauces -- which is never a bad thing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
