Shobha - SoHo

Second time at a Shobha. The first time was last year for the Yelp Elite event in midtown East when I had a sugar bikini wax.

It was a last minute decision to come after getting a few text messages about 15 percent off service. The SoHo location is closer to me. It's on the fourth floor of an office building so not as stand alone and not as nice as the midtown office.

Without an appointment I was able to get my wax within seconds of arrival. The front desk woman was really friendly. There were other ppl there getting their eyebrows threaded.

The sugar wax went ok. It just wasn't as great as the service as my first time at the midtown East location. It was obviously asymmetric so I had to ask for it to be fixed. So seemed a little less thoughtful/careful than my first time.

Just a head up for those who are bad at directions, it was located in the 594 building on broadway. Looking for the building can be a little confusing.

I've done brow waxing before but never try threading! Got to try out this new spot and it was professionally done. I want to point out you're required to hold ur forehead and eyelid down to allow your aesthetician to clean up the upper eyelid hairs better.

Conveniently 2 minutes next to the subway!

The space is spacious, brightly lit and very well maintained. My technician was bubbly and very accommodating (Brazilian service). For all the times I've done brazilian, this was the first time a cold compress was used to "close" the pores and to calm the skin - refreshing treat! She immediately took care to wipe down all services.

Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

I had a great Brazilian appointment with shashi. The inside is very clean and pleasant, and shashi was very efficient and gentle. The location is very convenient, right by the broadway Lafayette subway entrance.

Got my brows threaded here and they did an amazing job! I was in and out in 10 minutes and the service was 10/10. Would definitely come back!

Such great staff. They were very quick and efficient and also meticulous about the job they did. I was even able to come in for a training session where a new staff member did a great job with my wax. Booking has always been simple and the front desk person was kind and welcoming. The space was surprisingly large and they even sold a bunch of their products and other local businesses.

Will definitely be going here again.

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded by Frances for a while now, and she never disappoints! She fixed them after another studio messed them up while I lived abroad for a short time. I wish I could take her everywhere with me!

I called and asked to walk in for a quick eyebrow threading. they never mentioned to me that they were 5X the price! They charged me $57 for eyebrows and upper lip, and did a half decent job.
all around nyc, the SAME service costs $15 at the most. It's a complete RIP OFF!! I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!!

The decor of Shobha - SoHo is bright and clean. Their staffs were super friendly and patient to explain everything in details since this was my first time to do Bikini (wax).
It was a great and comfortable experience. My esthetician, Francis, is really professional with a sense of humor and let me feel more relaxed during the whole process. It took only 15 minutes to finish and it was not painful as imagined at all.
I will definitely recommend my friends to visit if they show their interest to try.

Thankfully to a Yelp perk few month ago I was put on to this place in Soho. I have returned again for eyebrow service and yet again I was not disappointed. It's more costly then i would pay at my other spot ($20 here) but the work is seamless super professional. My brow per this time was soo professional with her work i had to let her know.
I've been threading for years and just learned theirs different threads used for the process depending on results and customer.

I'm a happy customer that will be returning again and possibly looking into other services offered.
