Shenanigan's Pub

Shenanigans is what city-folk like to call a 'dive bar', but back where I come from, it's just a bar. And while you won't find a hipstery cocktail here, you will enjoy the price tag on your tab at the end of the evening.

We had a large group coming to Shenanigans before a viewing of Super Troopers 2, and it was the perfect spot for old friends to meet and get a little rowdy (as rowdy as a bunch of married late 20-year-olds get). We stuck to the patio, but they also had pool tables and even a ski ball machines inside.

We didn't have any food, but the beers were cold, and that's all we really wanted or needed.

Nice blue collar feel to this bar and bartenders and patrons were nice. The impressive part was the SIX Diamond pool tables in the back that are $1.50 a game (a bargain in my eyes). I shot on a couple tables and they played fast and straight with great rails.

If you don't know DIAMOND Tables are the Rolls Royce of pool tables and usually only find them in pool halls since the Diamond Tables cost starts around 5 grand a table and most bars have tables are half as nice and much cheaper brands.

I would for sure recommend this spot if like pool!

What a dump.. My wife and I walked in and the place wreaked of deep fried oil. The cabinet doors are falling off. The place was dirty. We waited 8 minutes with only 20 people in the bar and zero service. Some guy was restocking beer right in front of us and never once even looked at us and just walked away..

The DJ was horrible on Saturday night. He plays only Eminem or gangsta rap and then comes out and dances on the floor. He doesn't take requests (very rude). This place would have potential if they got a better more 2011 DJ, rather than someone who is stuck in the 90's playing CD's. I don't think the DJ knows what an MP3 is or neither does he listen to the radio or the latest hot music.

i been to this place many times and its more of really a local bar and also depends on what you are looking for. Tuesdays have one dollar taps and have a good amount of people. i do agree they can use a better DJ. they also do take requests if u ask them they have for me. i like they have pool that's kool and free popcorn. the little things that matter. on that note the prices for drinks are cheaper if anyone hasn't noticed.

This place used to be the place where everyone would go on a Friday or Saturday night but not anymore there is to many cops pulling people over and alot of fights they need to advertise more to have more people come it's always so dead the DJ is the best!! There is 1 Bartender name Carrol sherRe is so sweet and always has a smile on her face:-)

If you haven't been to this honey of a spot because of the old reputation you're missing out. The New owners since 2014 hired back the DJ company that was there in its hey day these guys have it figured out playing what the crowd wants to dance too and playing your requests. If you don't have fun there its your own fault. The bartenders are friendly and really seem to enjoy working there. The cops have been better at being not so harsh on the after hours patrons But do the right thing and get a DD to be safe. Drink prices were very fair lets face it the only place drinking is cheap is church on Sundays(only kidding you catch my drift) I highly rec Shenanigans if you like to dance and meet real true hard working people.

Last thursday night the whole Physical Therapy class of 2013 U of M was dropped off by our party bus driver never being there before we didnt know what this small south of the twin cities bar had too offer. Well now we know and know why our bus driver stopped here of all places.What a HOOT the DJ was awesome great dance tunes one after the other in fact the driver had a tuff time loading us up to go to the next place. I can only hope next year or sooner we make this trek again to this little diamond in the south and a special thanks to the DJ who played all of our requests without batting an eye. This place use to be the place to be with reasonable prices. Now with new ownership and management the prices have skyrocketed, comparable to Downtown club or high end restaurant prices. Needless to say, there are cheaper and nicer places to goto in Rosemount!
