Shadowlawn is a great B&B value - a historic home with tons of charm, a great location, and a wonderful Hostess/owner (Burnette). Breakfast was both unique and delicious. The Monte Cristo is a must try. Lots of personal attention and engaging conversation - felt like being around family. Looking forward to our next visit.

I was given a night with girlfriends as a gift.
Shadowlawn is a beautiful home with amazing antiques but the owner and hostess was one of the most warm an welcoming people I have ever met.
Breakfast was beautiful and delicious.

I was in town for a friend's wedding and stayed two nights. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE. The first morning I had strawberry soup and a spinach frittata, and the second morning I had almond roasted peaches and a pecan praline strata. The hostess was incredibly kind and thoughtful, and even gave me a tour of the property and local recommendations of other historic places to visit. I stayed in the Victorian Room and enjoyed the unique decor and very comfortable king bed. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and unique place to stay in Columbus!

In 2012, my son was married at Shadowlawn. I always determined to back so, when planning a surprise girls night out for July 21, 2014, Shadowlawn was the first choice! The house itself is beautiful and impressive with its original architecture and gorgeous furnishings. Burnette, the owner, creates a welcoming, homey atmosphere with her grace and charm. The food is 5 star quality! If you are a B&B fan, you cannot miss this! And if you aren't, you will be after the Shadowlawn experience!!

We stayed with Burnette on the last night of a very long road trip, and she made us feel like we were already home. It was like staying with an old friend! The house is beautiful and filled with interesting and unique antiques. Our room was clean and comfortable-the linens were soft, there was a stocked fridge with water and cokes, and the bathroom had a nice big tub. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the table setting was just stunning. Our favorite part of staying with Burnette was the wonderful conversation we shared with her. She is a warm, wonderful lady and we had the best time talking with her for hours on end. We'll definitely be back to Shadowlawn and highly recommend it.

If you want a real Mississippi grand living experience... this is the place. The owner Burnette is amazing and kind and warm and friendly and a great cook. The place is full of interesting antiques and unusual furnishings. My room was clean and comfortable and the location easy to get in and out from. I'll be back.
