Do not come here for a Brazilian Wax.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I have never have had a botched Brazilian Wax. I have been getting this service done once a month for 10 years.

She kept pulling and the wax was not giving because the room was too hot, I was sweating, and the wax was not cooling. So imagine someone pulling on your pubic hair, repeatedly, and it goes no where. it hurt. eventually, the waxer asked ME if she could stop....comforting right? so she stopped, and I looked like I had my lady parts set on fire and put out with a wet towel.

I've never had any other service there, so I cannot speak to that.

Looks like a nice place. Too bad they told me to come in and then didn't have any openings.

Called for a same day appointment for a full set and was told they didn't have any walk in times, but to come at 4 pm instead. Upon arrival, they told me they didn't have any appointments open. Sorry.

Um, okay.

Short version: ABSOLUTELY H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!! RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE in the history of my spa visits!

I called and made an appointment, showed up and was told I needed to wait a little bit which I was alright with as long as it was like 10 - 15 minutes; I waited for 35 minutes and was never attend to so I walked out but not before all of this happened...

While I was standing there the manager/owner, not sure what his role really is, body scanned me literally from head to toe when the lady behind the desk asked him how much for my appointment.

Mind you I have already called and made my appointment and gotten all the details over the phone so unless this is some kind of bait and switch deal, I was not sure what could have changed since our conversation/over the phone agreement.

The lady asked me if I wanted to do Shellac and I asked how much extra that would be and she looked at him again and asked "We are still doing the Happy Hour right?" He nodded in disagreement so she said $65 instead of $50.

So I continued to ask the lady if I could use the 20% off promotion that was advertised on their website for the $65 Shellac manicure/normal pedicure since I had already asked him over the phone when I was making my appointment for the normal mani/pedi and he had said OK to me for that. Once more she looked at him and asked and he just stared at me like I was the filthiest thing he had ever witnessed in his life.....I mean like WOW dude get a hold of yourself!!

I am standing there thinking "Strike what is it at this point in the back of my head??!" but I was like OK I really need to get this done because we are going to a baseball game tonight and then visiting my older sister and her family for Labour Day weekend and I wanted to look cute for all of it.

After he was done staring me down he turned to the lady and told her not me because clearly I am so below him to even talk to me directly even though we are all just standing right there that he is going to talk to me in a minute.

I looked at the lady and I said honestly I really do not feel comfortable staying here and spending my hard earned money, she sincerely apologized even though she is not the one that should be apologizing to me for such rude behavior!

I have honestly never been more disrespected in a "spa" like that before, there is NO way NO how in any shape, way or form I would EVER step foot through those doors again period.

My nails look fine, it's fine if you want a fast decent looking manicure, but the tech who did my nails is a complete ass. I couldn't find out his name. But he was being so mean about my hands shaking, and was gossiping in Mandarin the entire time. And the few times he did speak to me, I wish he didn't. He also was mocking a guest and when I told him to stop, he said "Why doesn't it matter if she can't hear me?" And continued me make fun of her. So why not just make fun of her in Mandarin so I don't have to hear then? You were already talking about me right in front of me. Anyway. Nails look good, he was just disappointingly unpersonable and did them so fast I thought he was using speed. Will probably come back and just ask for someone else.

I've been here a handful of times and always leave satisfied with my nails. Today I had Rose, and she is a doll. I usually end up getting a more expensive pedi, but Rose upsold me an even more expensive one, but combined it with the mani I wanted for just 5 dollars more. It was a nice little treat! She was very detail oriented and concerned that I was comfortable, which I appreciated.

The interior looks like it's had some cosmetic improvemenys, and their nail polish bar looks more organized than previous visits. There was also more opi, essie, and orly than I remember seeing before. Looks like they're committed to providing a better quality product.

This was my first visit - was in town for a wedding! I had a shellac manicure and a pedicure. The staff were all very professional and gentle in their ministrations! They were a little pricey ($60 not including tip) compared to the Midwest but the result and associated massages ( calf, foot, hands) were phenomenal! The facility was very clean as well as luxurious as well with calming music playing softly. Highly recommend!

I have researched so many nail salons because it's not like you can return a manicure if you're dissatisfied.

But this place is the best. Super clean and sanitary and they have all types of services. I always get my shellac manicure done here every two weeks because they last that long. If my nails didn't grow so fast, I wouldnt even have to get them redone.

But I love coming here because by your second visit, they'll know your face and greet you like a regular. And it's always so relaxing. I have had Andrew, Kim, Sandy, and Sally do my shellac and Ms. Rose do my pedicure. They are all great. I usually have Sally by sheer coincidence but I'm always ready to ask for her specifically and wait a bit longer if needed. Sometimes, they won't engage in conversation but sometimes you don't want all that chit chat and they can read your body language.

This is the only place I'd get my nails done. I don't even check my nails after the service is done because I can count on them being awesome.

They are NOT pushy when suggesting other services like eyebrow waxes or pedicures. They're so polite about it that I really am considering getting my eyebrows done at Serenity.

Quite possibly, the worst mani/pedi I've ever had. Nails are jagged, polish on my skin & under my toes, nails were cut too short, even after technician asked if I wanted to keep nail length, she then completely filed my nails down to stubs! I'm so dissatisfied I'm seriously considering asking for my money back.
Go to Changes Spa-a thousand times better in every aspect.

This place is great-from the amazing service to the employers that take care of you. I have nothing to complain about-they might seem a bit pricey but it's totally worth it! I've been a regular customer and can't find a need to complain. You won't be disappointed by going here.

Went here for the first time yesterday and couldn't be happier!
Ive found it really hard to find a good nail salon in the Norfolk area and this place was just as good as my salon in NY
I got a shellac manicure and a basic clean up from Sandy.
Everyone there was friendly and helpful and the salon was clean and very stylish.
I even made a follow up appointment in 2 weeks for a mani/pedi
