I've been meaning to write this review for a while now...

Seaside Chiropractic is undoubtedly one of the best chiropractic offices in the area, if not the country. I can say this having tried out many other chiropractic centers across California, some with success and others not so much, but Dr. Klein and his staff are truly in a league of their own.

Having had chronic back/shoulder/rib problems for many years due to a skiing injury as a kid, I had seen chiropractors every three months or so for about ten years. Each visit would provide temporary relief, yet I'd develop pain again increasingly over the next days and weeks until I absolutely had to see the chiropractor again. Finally, when I was having shooting pains down my arms on top of the back pain, I decided I'd stop at nothing to get it fixed. Enter Seaside: after a year of chiropractic therapy, the pains I'd felt for years are nearly gone. I moved to the east coast about two months ago, and I was afraid my pains would return without chiropractic, but Dr. Klein really has provided me a long-term fix! A major criticism about chiropractic is that you need to constantly go to appointments, otherwise your pain will return. Let me be the first to tell you that's not the case. Making the investment in the expertise of Dr. Klein and Seaside is the best thing I could have ever done for my health.

Dr. Klein and his staff go above and beyond. He takes the time to help you discover what the long-term cause of your pain is, instead of simply treating the symptoms. The staff is incredibly kind and genuinely caring, making sure to answer any questions and address any fears or concerns you might have about chiropractic in a completely open and non-judgmental way. If you have any hesitations/preconceptions/things you've always wondered about chiropractic, speak up! Dr. Klein and his staff are so helpful. I asked a general question about what the deal was with acupuncture and/or massage therapy, and Dr. Klein scheduled extra time for me to come in so he could explain in detail how those options might or might not help me.

All in all, Dr. Klein and his staff are truly the most competent and caring healthcare professionals I know. (And I work in healthcare!) If you're reading this, you're at the very least curious about how Seaside could help you. Call them up, or just walk in, there's absolutely no pressure in that office. I promise you won't regret it.

Hmmm... I know it's been years since Seaside Chiropractic closed down, and I no longer live in San Diego county, and according to another review, he is no longer in business. That's a very GREAT news to hear. Nevertheless, I do still want to voice my experience since I believe this is a free country.

Let me begin that the first time I heard about Seaside Chiropractic was back in 2009 when I looked for a job as I just graduated. There was a job ad titled "Four Arms and Five Legs" for an office assistant, where all applicants were invited to come to Seaside Chiropractic sometime in early evening (around 5 pm). We were then gathered at a big room, where I could see that there were multiple adjustments tables that pushed aside. Dr. Klein boasted a lot about how successful he was as a chiropractor, for instance that he adjusted the back of a boy who was color blind as he could only see black and white (now I'm not even sure he told the truth) and afterward, the boy was able to see like normal. Basically, he kept going for about 2 hours and after that, we had to fill a questionnaire about what fitted what we were looking for in a job, as well as our availability in weekdays and weekends. The room was filled by so many people, perhaps 30-40 people and I was sure I wouldn't get picked. However, I remembered that he offered 2 free visits to all who were there to apply for the job.

Life went on, I got a job and my health insurance plan covered 10 visits to a chiropractor with a co-pay of only $10. Then I got married, moved to another side of the city, my insurance plan changed, and it didn't cover any chiropractic visit any longer. I remembered about the 2 free visits so I checked on Yelp about this place (lots of 5 stars and I was naive). I called and explained how I knew about this place and got scheduled for an appointment. Of course their staff (Sara and Roseanna) were super nice because they just wanted to help Dr. Klein to succeed with his scheme. My first visit there lasted for 2 hours! I don't even recall they took an X-ray to be honest. Like another reviewer mentioned, the visit lasted for 2 hours because of:
      1. the first wait time (which could last for half hour at least)
      2. stupid education about our bones, cartilage, muscles spasm that I was NOT INTERESTED IN AT ALL (at least another half hour), but I couldn't be honest to say it was stupid as I didn't want to sound rude
      3. another wait time because Dr. Klein would joke around with his staff and gave adjustments to his part-time employees who just walked in, and thereby abandoning the real clients who contributed to his income
      4. finally I got called to the exam room, where he checked my alignment and Sara wrote what he said about which part of my backbone that was out of alignment, and he DID NOT DO the adjustment on my first visit

I still went back for my 2nd visit because I thought the first visit was the only long one. I was wrong, it lasted for 2 hours again! This time, Roseanna discussed about the financing part since of course with 2 free visits, they would want some of my money. She pointed that we were required to sign a contract for the first 4 visits, which originally cost for $485 but since I was a job applicant in the past, she lowered it to $385 (or $96 per visit), and based on other reviews now, I know it was BS. Since I had never been to any chiropractor without insurance coverage, I didn't know how much it would cost. Sara told me it would give me the best effect if I could come for adjustments 3 times a week! Wow! How could I afford that? I told her it didn't work, and so I only came once a week. On the 2nd visit, again I saw that his employees walked in anytime, and I could see clearly he spent a long time time chatting with them and adjusting them for free, and made me (the patient) wait despite there was no other patient as it was already almost 7 pm. When I got called, I was adjusted for 2 mins maximum, and oh yeah, he didn't massage my back at all but cracked my neck and back right away. Lesson learned - on my 3rd to 6th visits, I told them I couldn't spend 2 hours for my every visit as I had other house chores. Roseanna and Sara said sorry and they tried to make it go faster, but it was still like an hour. I don't even think they felt sorry at all.

So, after my last visit, I was asked if I would schedule my next visit and I asked how much it would cost, and I was told it would be $96. I decided to forget it and not come back at all. Meanwhile, I called a couple other chiropractors and was shocked to find generally even without insurance, the first visit would probably be around $50 and the next one will be $35. He was truly a robber! I did want to write a bad review on Yelp, but since all other reviews had 5 stars, I was sure my review would be removed right away, so I was discouraged. Now that his business closed down, I decided to speak up. Yay that he is no longer in business :-)

In general, HATE doctors, hospitals, the healthcare system, anything to do with medicine really because it can be quite the scam. I'm so tired of self-interested, incompetent doctors and there always being a catch (charges they will not tell you about until after you get services). Dr. Klein and his staff are the first group of people in the field of medicine that I have ever come to respect, trust, and even LOVE.

I'll admit it though I felt uncomfortable at first lol. Everyone is SOOO nice and my first couple visits were free, so I was just waiting for someone to tell me what the catch was. I felt like I wasn't being told something because they are just too nice and too interested in your health issues. I was so skeptical and WRONG. I've been here for months and I have yet to see one :)

These people actually CARE about getting you better, sometimes more than you do lol. Not only do they work to do that though, Dr. Klein and his team make educating you about the process a big priority (without extra fees!) and WHY you want to get better.

I have had back pain for years. About a year ago it was getting unbearable and it was holding me back on my training (for future career, Army officer) so I went to a doctor. He told me to buy a book. A fucking book. I was close to asking him if I could shove it wear the sun don't shine after I bought it. The next doc was a fail too.

Dr. K has helped me a lot, in more ways than one. Chiropractics is amazing, but expensive. Money is a big concern to me, college is a big enough expense. Seaside makes a payment plan for you that fit your budget (and student discount!). This is one of the things that showed me they really cared about me getting better (as opposed to just getting their money). Its still quite a bit of money so I wouldn't have come if the pain wasn't so bad, but its totally been worth it and I definitely recommend them to anyone.

      Thanks Dr. K & Cait & Sarah & Roseane & Natasha!

      Seaside Chiropractic is the best!
Everyone is very friendly, highly knowledgeable and treats me like I'm family. I had never been to a chiropractor before Dr. Klein, but my apprehension was quickly alleviated when Dr. Klein's assistant, Roseanna took the time to explain the entire process.
I came to see Dr. Klein because I was experiencing numbness in my hand and fingers. After just one adjustment I felt a lot better, but I knew from Roseanna's explanation the tissue would re-adhere and I would need several more visits to fix the problem.
I would highly recommend Seaside Chiropractic!

Being an ex-collegiate level athlete and a current personal trainer, I've had my share of bumps and bruises. Most notably during high school, I'd torn my ACL and seemed to have bounced back 100 percent until recently I'd noticed that my left leg was practically.. well.. invisible! The leg that had been surgically repaired seemed to have stopped working and the muscles in it had slowly atrophied through the years.

Here is where Dr. Klein and his AWESOME staff come into the picture. I met with Dr. Klein for an evaluation knowing not one bit about chiropractic. Now, I know a lot about the body and how it works.. but I didn't know much about chiropractic at all. The staff literally IMMERSES you in knowledge in regards to how your body works and what chiropractic does and genuinely cares about your well-being and whats going on in your life. But I am rambling...

At the end of my FIRST chiropractic session, I took my little walk down towards the coast and on the way up the hill I felt the muscles FINALLY contract after years of not feeling a damn thing on that left side. I'm no longer a mono-pod! My sleep is sound and even after a hard workout I don't feel like I've been put through battle! Who knew!

So put your reservations and fear aside and go see Dr. Klein. Trust me, your life and body will thank you!

I went to Dr. Klein as I had neck pain, some shoulder pain and a slight case of vertigo. After my initial examination, Dr. Klein informed me of the course of action he would like to take with me and how it should progress. I was impressed with the genuine caring and professionalism that both he and his staff exhibit on each of my visits. This is a friendly place and they are definitely changing the world one body at a time and for reasonable prices as well. After just a few visits, my vertigo has gone away and I can feel a huge difference in my neck and shoulders. Both he and his staff explained the importance of stretching, perhaps some yoga and all around good health. We are equal partners in my overall health care and it's important that every patient take some responsibility for their progress and work with the health care provider to achieve this goal.

I highly recommend Dr. Klein and his staff and really feel like their goal is to move me forward and I really appreciate that idea.

I am extremely grateful with Dr. Klein and his staff. Words cant describe how thankful I am that our paths crossed. I am just amazed at how great my body feels. I can work out and do everyday activities without having to worry about sharp pain on my lower back. I got my life back. After only 4 months of treatment, I feel significantly better and have relief without pills. My lower back is completely pain free! The pain is almost completely gone throughout the rest of my spine, and I haven't "gotten stuck" since I began my treatment. I haven't felt this good or this agile since.....well, EVER.

After my injury which occurred around 2008, I was sent to a chiropractor in Los Angeles. I felt better, but then about a year and a half later, the sharp pain along my spine and hips returned. Sometimes it got so bad, I couldn't move and had to call my bf (at time) to come over and help me up. I was frequently prescribed pills for the pain by my doctor, who I felt, brushed me off and told me, "You just have a curved spine."
I couldn't let the random pain control my life anymore. It was already a struggle to manage living on my own, college, and work. Something needed to change!

While I was waiting for my first appointment at Seaside Chiropractic with Dr. Klein, the staff there were super friendly and attentive. They even offered me snacks and made sure I felt comfortable. I will never forget the words said to me, "You're only 20, you don't have to be in pain." No doctor, or anyone, has ever said that to me before. Right then and there, I was certain that I was in good hands. Who would of guessed I would be right?

My experience here has been fantastic! I truly mean that! Dr. Klein and his staff made it a point to know me, my medical history and really understand my situation in order to create a plan tailored for me. The support and service they offer is superb! Honestly, I could go on, and on about how great Dr. Klein and the staff are. (I tell people I know all the time about them). Walking into the office is one of the highlights of my day!

I was hurt playing basketball awhile back and like usual I thought it'll be gone after a couple of days rest. As it turns out however, the pain gets worse and I finally gave in and went to Seaside and looked for help from Dr. Klein. I have to say that after only a few months of adjustments I was pain free and nearly at 100% again.
Dr. Klein and the staff at Seaside are very helpful and friendly that the experience has been very educational and fun. Although whatever you do, don't ask them about "Jersey Shore" because you might just have a new name to come home with :)
So, if you feel that regular medicine hasn't been very helpful to whatever ails you, you should definitely stop by and get checked out by Dr. Klein.

Been going to DK for over 3 years now and i don't have a single bad thing to say. I was having ongoing neck and back issues and after a few months of seeing him, started to feel better. now, after 3 years, i feel better, have nearly no issues and see him on a less regular schedule (although, that's the only downfall, i don't need him anymore and don't get to listen to his jokes!)

him and his staff aren't just there to pop and click you in the right direction, but they educate you on what they're doing and how it affects the rest of your body. beyond the basics, the staff at Seaside is amazing - super friendly, asking about not only how your body feels and any problems you're experiencing, but also wanting to know what you've been up to, how work/life/play are and whether there's anything they can clear up with questions you may have about your health/chiro in general -- they never want you to have questions that go unanswered.

most importantly, DK tracks you improvement from week to week and appointment to appointment, all with the end goal of getting you better and less dependent on coming into the office each week.

all in all, the staff is amazing, DK rocks and i couldn't recommend anyone better for your chiro needs in SD! :)
